No offence but only by those who think NC can do no wrong. Which rumours people believe on here seem to come down to whether they they feel strongly in support of NC or otherwise. None of the rumours about NC or AP have been shown to have much evidence. I no more believe that AP was found in the trainning room at Staplewood ****ging a players wife anymore than I believe that NC turnned down O'Neil to bring in Adkins. It amazes me how people on here will cling to some rumours to support their arguments while ignoring others that don't fit.

Not really this isn't communication this just the usual O/S stuff like all those "we want to win the next match" crap from the players. The new manager wants us to play good football and win hardly a revelation is it? Communication is things like explaining why the club needed to change the set up with season tickets, it's been explained now and it makes perfect sense but why couldn't they just tell people at the time?

Personally I'd rather not have these sort of O/S articles. Just go out and do it Nigel, I don't care how you do it just do it. I'm not even bothered about style at the moment just points on the board we can have all the style later when we're top of the table and 10pts clear.

Well after reading the link I've come to the conclusion football clubs don't like fans, it's alright to take our hard earned money but if we complain on the internet about something we don't like they'll hunt us down and threaten us with legal action. Whats next a micro phone under every seat at the stadium so they can identfy any fan who says anything untoward at matches.

What about the other side of the coin though if you actually make football contracts worth the paper there written on you might not be able to shift players who aren't working out? If the players get you relegated do you want to keep them anyway?

This ^^^ saints managers don't normally have to deal with saints fans expectations being so high, normally avoiding relegation is the height of saints ambition but this season has been built up so much it's unreal.

I don't think he will get as much time as he probably should, the expectation levels are sky high this year. We get talk of five year plans and champions league from the club, favorites tags from the press and bookies and no excuses anything less than promotion is failure speeches from the fanbase. This year was supposed to be our year, and if he doesn't deliver or even look like he's not delivering the St Mary's faithful will give him short shrift rightly or wrongly. Last year with everything that went on a lot of people were ready to cut the manager some slack and most felt we did well given our circumstances this year people just aren't going to be as forgiving. Lets hope Nigel gets off to a flyer for his and our sakes.

Hardly football contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on, I imagine he's got until the end of the season to prove himself.

Good a manager (quite frankly anyone other than wilkins is a relief). Welcome Nigel lets see what you can do, be prepared for a bumpy ride the SMS faithful are in a foul mood at the moment give them something to cheer about.

I agree with what your saying. I just find it funny a few weeks ago when I suggested the players might be to blame I was shouted down it's all the managers fault, now with out him the players are even worse.

De-motivated staff don't work as well as happy ones regardless off the job you want the best from your staff you keep them happy.

He slept with all the plays wives (allegadly no actual evidence has been produced apart from I know someone at the club) so far ITK's have confirmed it was Fonte's wife, Lambert's wife and Connolly's wife, what part Wally downes was playing I don't know (double teaming prehaps). AP had destroyed team morale to the point that they were able to thrash Bristol rovers 4-0. Once they players got rid of evil Alan they where much happier as shown by thier amazing string of results since. Hope this helps.

OK heres what the club statement says, I assume NC had to agree to it "we recognise that frequent changes to the football management are unlikely to assist in the winning of trophies and promotions" Sounds like he's getting his excuses in early to me.

you can't leave it aside thats the whole point you have look at everything together its all linked you can't just leave out the bits that don't fit the theory The first 3 games were ok not awful pre -season had not been the best people looked off the pace but the team character was there Next 2 games we picked up played very well, fitness started to come Next three we bombed and played very badly - main reason no manager, team spirit shot to hell the team didn't win 4-0 and then just turn bad overnight for no reason but if you want to leave that reason out feel free.

So we don't need a manager then? the players should be able to sort out themselves? NC will be happy that will save a few bob in compo. Funnily enough when we had a manager it was all his fault when the players didn't perform. No we don't have a manager it's the players fault. I bet the players can't wait for a new manager then they can go back to not being responsible for bad performances.

The day after it turned out we'd been bought by a guy with loads of money, has being going on ever since, I blame all those who kept banging on a bout all the money we spent last season suddenly we were the "Man city of the lower leagues" b ollocks are we. All those people banging on about us losing to "lesser" teams don't help either.

Does he want a prize? Maybe he should of mentioned it to NC instead of on here?

Theres no point *****ing about Adkins until we can see what he can do surely? If he comes I'll give him my backing but I don't think he'll get much time from the fan base in general, last season most of us expected little and probably most of us felt we got more than we thought we would. This year expectations are sky high no form of failure is going to be tolerated (hence booing on the first day of the season) Adkins is going to have to hit the ground running if things haven't improved after 10 games I think the SMS faithful will be baying for his blood.

In fairness they did turn up against Bolton and Bristol rovers then we sacked our manager and all the progress we made in sorting out our poor start to the season dissappered in a puff of white smoke.

Nows thats the sort of manager I'm talking about, he'd be great for sorting out the half time refreshments too think of the savings a few rolls, some fish, some water and hey presto wine and food for the whole of SMS.
