  1. In fairness the highlights didn't tell you about those bits, any nuetral watching those would have come away thinking we were unlucky not to win of course anyone who had the joy of sitting through it a st Mary's knows otherwise.
  2. Wilkins? depends if we're counting caretakers I suppose
  3. This ^^^ says something when our best two players where the youngsters.
  4. The first one went becuase Jose didn't listen to Martin. Martin had the first guy covered and was pointing/shouting at Fonte to pick up the goal scorer instead Fonte comes in to challenge the first guy leaving Martian to try and get back to cut out the scorer but he had to much ground to make up.
  5. I should have just stayed home and watched the highlights they made us look far far better than we were. How come Claridge wasn't their tonight? maybe he's having a late night interview with NC everyone else who has ever picked up a football has alreadyhad one it seems.
  6. O'neil won't be any use at saints he has a mind of his own, what we need is a manager who knows his place and doesn't mind the chairman telling him who to pick.
  7. straight into the blue square
  8. Kim Jong-hun he's used to working with demanding chairmen and is currently out of football working as a builder, plus he'll have the inside track on all North koreas footballing talent
  9. Oh I don't think we need to worry about the EPL for a long long time, on todays performance league 2 is more likely.
  10. In fairness to Lambert he got a lot of flick ons today but no one in our team is picking them up. Last year people like Lallana, papa, Barnard and Antonio (ummmm none of those played today did they) where getting on the end of Lambets headers and flick ons to score we quite often won the second ball. Connolly was never in the right place and was dropping deep a lot and no one was coming in from midfield either. So often Lambet's headers or flick ons just ended up in no mans land today.
  11. Might explain why Barnard was keen to leave the field against Swindon;)
  12. Last year St Mary's was a fortress we hardly lost at home all season (was it three times in the league?). This year it's like f ucking Tescos free points with every visit.
  13. In fairness to Lambert he got a lot of flick ons today but no one in our team is picking them up. Last year people like Lallana, papa, Barnard and Antonio (ummmm none of those played today) where getting on the end of Lambets headers and flick ons to score we quite often won the second ball. Connolly was never in the right place and was dropping deep a lot and no one was coming in from midfield either. Also how many times did our players run into each other or get in each others way there is no communication out there at all. To sum up todays display = B o l l o c k s
  14. None off it sounds any more fetched than AP being sacked after being found double teaming Fontes wife with Wally Downes in the broom cupboard at staplewood though.
  15. As much as Alpine can be annoying he is the exact opposite of these people he totally supports NC. Plus throw my season ticket away! I has to scrimp and save for that I'd rather go through watching **** at st Marys every week than throw it away. Even if Saints never win another match at least I get a couple of hours off her in doors every couple of weeks thats worth its weight in gold.
  16. No NC is above critiscim if it wasn't for him we'd have no club, it's all APs doing
  17. And you know for a fact he was getting full support from NC do you? We don't what NC was prepared to sanction by all accounts new players had to be passed by a committe. Prehaps that was the final straw in AP leaving. The whole of the club management has to take the blame for this and even then we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Do we know for a fact we have money to burn for new players.
  18. well put, I think the fans are more expecting this year though. In some ways with the -10 and stuff last year we seemed much more supportive a bit of a "backs to the wall we're all in this together" situation. This year the crowd seem much quicker to get wound up if things aren't going the teams way.
  19. yep get your point. Prehaps dropping out of the resreve league wasn't such a great idea?
  20. I've got my season ticket so I'll be going though I'm not taking the kids this week.
  21. I can't help thinking money plays apart, a lot of us were guility of assuming we had money to burn in a Man city way. I think we spent most of our transfer budget last january. Despite what many of us thought the club seems to have become more frugal with it's spending. We're living within our means, sure our means are much greater than most other league one clubs but it's not a bottomless pot either.
  22. The support the team gets comes from whats going on on the pitch if the players give the supporters something to cheer about they will. It's noticable that St Mary's becomes a lot more hostile this season (as compared to last season) if the players aren't doing well on the pitch. It's an old cliche but most fans (of all clubs) only sing when they're winning.
  23. I think you need to tell the players not the fans. You can see this coming, new manager will come in " not my players, not my team, to far off the pace don't worry next year we will be fine blah blah blah.............................." A week ago I was telling people on here to have some patience fully confident we'd be alright. Now I just feel the whole season will pass us by I wouldn't be suprised if we finish lower than last season.
  24. Right I'll admit I now next to nothing about Ryan Doble but he is listed as a first team striker, is he so bad he cant cover Barnard for three games? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10280~47722,00.html
