without Papa /or/and Antonio we're missing a lot of pace in the team those to subs changed many games last season whose going to come off the bench and do that this season?
-
Really one look at the BBC website suggests otherwise a lot of teams have been bringing in players for weeks. Not that I'm paincking just yet I'll wait a couple more weeks before that. I am however suprised at our lack of activity compared to our league one rivals. So far we've added another left back the one area (along with GK) I wasn't concerened about.
-
I've always wondered about that. It must be gutting to be part of a promotion winning team and then getting axed becuase "You're not good enough son" and then seeing your place in team taken by some Johnny foriegner on 50k a week. Works both ways though. Players who jump ship as soon as a side are relegated because "they're to good for a lower league" really get my goat too.

1)I was being tounge in cheek 2) You could say the same about Harding IMO why drop a very good LB that we got to see perform well all season and came second in the player of the season poll only losing out to Lambert. For one whose main claim to fame among saints fans seems to be he beat Lloyd James in a match against us and put in one good cross.
-
You mean the ones where the tv pundits and press couldn't sing his praises enough, where he was far and away the best player in the spurs team, as I say playing him LM suits his game more.
-
So what? I was mentioning Spurs. I was pointing out Spurs don't play Bale at LB and he is a better player for it. Maybe just maybe AP wants to play Dickson at LM not LB.
-
You notice spurs don't play Bale at LB anymore maybe it's Lallanna who should be worrying about his postion not Harding.
-
You must have watched a different Harding to me then saw him get forward plenty of times built up a good understanding with Lallanna on the over lap. Scored a couple to boot. The only time harding didn't get well forward was when he had to play emergency rightback he still played well on the defensive but getting forward was harder on his wrong foot.

I'm not renewing I'm getting my first season ticket (hopefully) at least now I have a price to save for. Luckily I'm due a long term service bonus which will go some way to helping out. As I'm not renewing I've got untill the 6th Aug so hopefully I can do it. I can understand those renewing being very upset this all seems very badly thought out even more so in light of the fans charter thingy.

St Etienne interested in Schneiderlin

Actually a large part of Italy belonged to the Austro-Hungarian empire only after the seven weeks war with Prussia in 1866 did Italy start to become a nation as we know it today. As for Morgan more than 1 million for sure. If he goes we will just have to live with it. I do love the opptomism of some posters though. Every time someone looks like leaving we get "we can do better" money or no money we are a league one club. -
Reserves Pulled Out of Combination League.

If you think about it in reverse Forest Green's reserves probably play against better players than their first team do bizzare:p -
LOL:smt036 It almost makes you wish for the previous owners and their leaky bucket of secreacy when ever other poster on here was ITK. These new owners have everything puckered up so tight we're all bored ****less. I can't wait for the bloody world cup to take my mind of things, everyday I log on to the BBC and every other club in league one seem to be signing people and stuff.

And Simon Church too
-
He is 36 and hasn't played in months though so I'm not sure how much impact he'll have. I reckon for evey experinced pro in the twilight of his carrer who has one last great season ten probably just fade away with injuries (Murty?)

Based on what? you're right if we where signing Ashley Cole I'd be bye bye Harding were not though were talking about a league one player from Brentford. So in your example AP and NC have sat down and said we've got 3 million to spend we will put 250K aside for a RB. What happens if they can't get a RB for the money put aside we go for someone else give up? The order in which players are bought doesn't matter so much as why AP and NC feel we need a LB when we have two good ones (imo) already. Dickson is not free becuase of his age if we pay 100k in compensation for example thats 100K spent on a player we don't need, now not avaliable for another player in a postion we need. Despite our new found wealth I don't believe we have unlimited money to spend.
-
To my mind thats the most logical way to do it clear out the unwanted players then start targetting players for the weak spots in the team first spend the money where it's most needed. You're right we don't now whats going on behind the scences. I'm just not sure why so many people are excited about the prospect of signing a left back. If this guy was a right back I might be excited.
-
Really I thought the opposite. Seeing as kept Harding out for several games even when Harding was fit I assume AP thought he was doing a good Job to.

Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.

Holy sh*t is he NC? -
No one is saying that but asumming we don't have an unlimited budget why not start spending the money and wage bill on the postions we are weak in? Rather than trying to stregthen a postion that is already strong. Harding already has competition he's called Mills. I honestly can't believe so many people are hailing Dickson as some kind of superstar based on seeing him beat Lloyd James for pace and becuase a couple of bees fans thought he was good. The team does need improving I just think we should start by getting in players where we are weak rather than where we are strong its called improving the team.
-
That seems to be the case:confused:. If anyone had said to me which two postions in the team I didn't think needed strengthening. I would have said LB and GK we have two very good players (at this level at least) who have proved themselves this season with two good backups who both stepped up when needed in those postions. I don't uderstand the need for another left back right now when we're still weak in midfield and rightback and still lacking good cover in attack and central defence.
-
Something most Colchester fans will be very happy about Hoofroyd seems very unpopular among the Colchester faithful.
-
But is he better? We seem to be assuming he is better based on one run and assist in one game against us, Harding has been very good this year his goal against Tranmere was top notch. We're not talking about signing a LB from the EPL or even the fizzy pop but from an average league one side.
-
Well that doesn't make him that great my mum could dribble past James playing at rightback and put in a cross.
