Horrible I've been in the shower scrubbing with bleech for hours just can't get that clean feeling back;)
  2. How so? it proves we can beat them. Eh? What about Leeds, Colchester, Norwich, Charlton, Milwall, Huddersfield and Bristol Rovers. We dropped points against all of them at some stage this season. So how do we lure teams into playing football if they don't want to? the only way it seems is to get an early goal and force them to attack if they want something from the game.

Kelvin? MLT? TBH though I agree with you players will go if something better comes along. Nothing we can do about it, unless our chairman wants to play hardball with a player ie "play for us or wait out the rest of your contract on the bench" but in reality we'll take the money and buy someone else.
  4. Looking for a rise again Stu?
  5. Didn't we beat both Exeter and Tranmere this year? Also as I remember it Brentford played some good stuff nothing like last nights match. So how do we play like man U then apart from buying Rooney? whats Man U's secret other than having better players than everyone else, most of who have played together for many seasons and having a long term manager fully backed by the owners?
  6. I really hate to say it but I have to agree with Delldays. Lambert might be happy right now but if the right offers come in during the summer he might decide he wants to leave. I really can't see us getting through the summer without losing a couple of our first eleven. The difference between now and previous seasons is that we can afford to hold out for a good price. Secondly the new owners, if they are serious about the five year plan back to the EPL have to invest in good players. So if we lose Lambert we will replace him with someone of equal quaility. The days of selling off our best players and replacing them with ****e are gone I think.
  7. True but Swindon and Huddersfield will still be down here and Brighton are likely to be stronger and more of a threat next year too. If we can hold on to this team and get some decent cover for midfield we should do very well next season.
  8. Good point my son thinks papa is one of the greatest footballers in the world and even my four year old daughter knows what Lambert looks like, bodes well for the future fan base I think.
  9. oh look a lesser spotted super fan
  10. How where we defensive? have you looked at the stats? Possession * Southampton 56% * Oldham 44% Attempts on target * Southampton 12 * Oldham 2 Attempts off target * Southampton 7 * Oldham 1 Corners * Southampton 7 * Oldham 2
  11. Yes but my orginal point was more about other teams fans then saints fans. Down here when you meet a gas fan or carlisle fan you know they're genuie footy fans. When we where playing in the EPL you'd end up chatting to southern numpties in replica man U tops banging on about their team ,who they'd only ever seen on ****ing sky and had never even been to Old Trafford. The EPL may be the best league in the world ™ but league one takes me back to going to the footy with my grandad when I was a nipper I like it. I might not after 10 years but right know taking my son to st Mary's at a reasonable price it's all good.
  12. Hardly a surprise when we win he's a hero when we lose he's the target for peoples frustration. The people complaining tonight will be the same ones praising him last saturday. Is always the way with football fans.
  13. It wasn't through a lack of trying though, It's rare for saints not to score these days but it's going to happen sometime.
  14. Hey it was always a big ask to win that many games in a row. Lets just try to stay unbeatean for the rest of the season and take this last part of this seasons form into next season. Perform like we have this season with a better start and no minus 10 and we should do well next season.
  15. Depends on your definition of a plastic do you mean someone who doesn't go to every game? because that would be a lot of us including you and me. My definition is some armchair fan who supports a team he never goes to see, but supports them becuase that team wins a lot. Generally they support one of the big EPL teams but they've never gone to see a home match. I really can't see to many of my definition hanging out in league one can you?
  16. No your right I've met loads of glory seeking Orient,Brizzile and Dons fans down in league one who are just in it for the trophies and Kudos.
  17. I'm shocked where still in with a very narrow chance as I had written us of weeks ago. I still don't think we will becuase we are relying on others to **** up and we can't afford one slip the odds just look to stacked against us. Still what ever happens this has been one of the best seasons in a long time and I've loved every minute of it (well apart from swindon at home which was awful.)
  18. Probably not. I will look back on this season with fond memories though when we are back in the EPL hoping for another final day escape from relegation so we can spend another year being spanked by the likes of Man utd, Liverpool and Stoke. At least down here when you speak to a Gas fan or a monkey hanger you know they're a geniue fan rather than some glory seeking **** who supports Man U but has never been north of Watford.
  19. One of the things I've enjoyed about being in league one is finding out about teams that a few years ago wouldn't have registered on my radar. There's something refreshing about league one football you don't get with the EPL it all seems a bit more geniune down here.
  20. Paul Ince has already cleared his desk at MK Dons in his NOTW column he said he is looking for somewhere long term with a bit of money behind them..............................
  21. My eight year old choose to have Matty's name on his number seven shirt instead of Lambert, he loves watching Matt's goals on youtube (I'm to cheap to buy the DVD:lol:) Sadly for my eight year old he doesn't play football like either of them which is why he gets to play rightback for his youth team.
  22. LOL but maybe we should do the lap before the game:p
  23. At least it's a nice easy away match to get to, a good one to take the nipper to (unless we are going to be confronted by hordes of angry tooled up Bournemouth fans:smt082) surely local rivals for Bournemouth are Poole town?
  24. I might with respect suggest internet forums are not the place for intelligent debate, that's better saved for the pub after the match.
  25. Joys of the internet many likeable people come across as tossers through a computer screen. Just take me for example. I don't know derry apart from his computer persona and well to put it bluntly he comes across as arrogant with his views, doesn't mean he's not a nice bloke in the real world. Many of us don't translate well on the internet.
