  1. I wonder if they'd have been in 'Team of the Week' under Wotte? ... no I think not. Well done to all those who helped remove the last regime! Vindicated!
  2. Its a big ask IMHO. We can always strive and hope for more but survival in League 1 was the plan this year and is all that needs to be delivered along with a new side to win the league next year. This is one 2 year long pre-season for the CCC - playoffs are ust a bonus. AP knows that - which is why he wants to win the JPT.
  3. Pardew is our manager. As long as he finds a replacement of the same quality - and obviously Pardew attracts quality given the comments on WD above - I am not too worried!
  4. I'd agree with that. What's more I am looking forward to Pardew's gradual bettering of Saints year on year out for the next 6 years. Every year we go up a place and get better is a better year and more consistency in management. Pardew brings hope along with new ownership. I am enjoying the rebuild!
  5. I tend not to read it to be honest! I click on the links through the discussion boards here. But then I guess I got too used to the OS publishing spin and lies under Lowe to ever take it seriously. Perhaps I should give it more of a chance now.
  6. It was actually better than last season to be honest!
  7. I think a draw - 2-2. We are already in a relegation fight, the whole season was always destined to be a relegation fight. It is purely about staying up... which Pards will deliver IMHO. Play-off place would make Pardew a genius. I think its unlikely, but I would be chuffed to bits if we managed it!
  8. Oh goodness me OS... please get rid of the Dutchies ... and anything to do with Lowe. Ta.
  9. I just can't understand why he is allowed to ontinue to post. Is it because he just comes back with YET ANOTHER user name and so the mods are bored banning him? Can we just keep Saints fans on this forum?
  10. Great post! Love reading this... I dunno about others but all of a sudden it's like a wave of Strachan-esque optimism has hit the club again. I think we're going to enjoy being Southampton FC fans again from here on in. Enjoy the next 5 years return to the Premiership.
  11. I agree. Pardew has put in the foundations now. We need to finish clearing out the poor Lowe legacy players and press on with some further talented and motivated players. Good days ahead. Thank you Barclays Bank for ridding us of the plc and Lowe forever.
  12. I expect midtable. But Pardew may not be content with that!
  13. He has had an injury as I recall.
  14. Good point. We'll be well prepared for the CCC in two years time at this rate. Pardew knows his game alright.
  15. Play offs would be nice but we should all be content to stay in the league this year to be honest, given the Lowe damage that still needs to be undone. Expectation management... Pardew will be a hero with me if we finish mid-table frankly and then build from there.
  16. Here here.
  17. We needed to find his position that's all... and Pardew has. Brilliant!
  18. What no critics of Pardew? Eat your words impatient people... we're on our way back to the Premiership. Alan Pardew's Red and White Army!
  19. The pain of humiliation and denial of the past is hard to take for some eejits though Freemantle. Still, at least 99% of us know that the pathetic junk they post is irrelevant and driven by denial of the facts.
  20. Worst support for me had to be Fulham. All you get is 'Come on Fulham' and a whole stand for neutral supporters! FFS!! What's the point in going to a neutral stand... what are you going to chant? 'The referee's a good bloke' or 'come on Fulham and the opposition'. Nice ground, but goodness me what crap fans.
  21. You dont want the truth. You just want revenge against any legend who stood against Lowe.
  22. Ask yourself why he is the only 'fan' who cares about this and continually slags of people like Lawrie Mac et al.
  23. All I want is to support my club, now that we have it back after Lowe was humiliatingly removed and his plc destroyed forever. Heroes are heroes. MLT will always be one, out of interest when were you thinking of starting the 'Ted Bates was a Adolf Hitler's illegitimate son' thread?
  24. I watched Jamaica v USA in Kingston once. The blue cloud of pot that surrounded the stadium made for an interesting atmosphere. It was kopesetic mon.
