As I recall WGS lost more than that when he took over.

Can someone do a countdown clock on the Saints Web website? It would certainly focus our minds and the Club's with regards to how long is left to finish replacing Lowe's legacy team.
-
If Lowe was still in the chair we'd still have Wotte and be playing kids. I predict we'd have lost every game thus far.

Our next signing : a decent sports psychologist.

Lowe was bonkers and SCW had nothing to offer us apart from a pointless eye-gym and contributing to the loss of a potentially decent manager and making us into a laughing stock...IMHO of course. -
Agreed.

errr... fitness takes a little time to produce.

Unlucky, but to be honest things are starting to turn round. It's getting better.

Had potential ... but another Lowe legacy player leaving is fine by me. -
Why did the ball boys have the balls taken from them?

Correct. -
why not... we could sell alot of the Lowe players to finance it! Double win! lol
-
Possibly, but its a point that needs to be made as there's no chance of the Lowe legacy players being good enough for this league. If AP did this to prove to the owners how crap our current crop of players are then he did exactly the right thing IMHO.
-
Let's buy a winger or two who can do crosses AND take corners!
-
'High profile'. Well if so then OK... I suppose. But, AP needs to buy in to this. I would like to see a traditional British managerial set up - one man, one decision maker. But, if it's someone like WGS who'll attract players and AP gives his thumbs up then hey why not? As long as we get a footballing pro who can look at the side and say to Nicole and Marcus, 'we need more money for players so we can get rid of the crap Lowe has left us with' then it gets my vote (provided AP is happy).
-
Nothing to do with the stadium, everything to do with strategic leadership AKA Mr Lowe/Mr Wilde.
-
lol!

Yes, footballing winners.
-
This is exactly the point. To generate a winning mentality you need someone with credibility to induce a winning mentality. SCW may have written a book and won a world cup in Rugby, but he has zero credibility with professional soccer players - particularly ours at the time, who as HR once commented 'ran the club' rather than him i.e had too much of the Chairman's ear. SCW had no credibility... strange given his persona but true given his sport.

Some basic lessons in football psychology...

I think you're both right. The fact that we are a big club, with good fan support and a decent backer and no debts actually means we CAN invest in rebuilding a team quicker than most. But LG3C is essentially correct, until AP has HIS team in place he should not be judged negatively. He inherited a League 2 quality side - both in terms of skill for some and certainly mentality for all. -
LOL! Everytime I think of it, I think of this...!
-
Sorry, just remind me about how well we did WITH him again? (Not talking about Rugby by the way )

Well put. This is what I mean by 'Lowe's legacy team'. Until AP rebuilds HIS team we are still suffering from Lowe's input. But, he is and the famous Lowe losing mentality will start to fall away shortly. -
Do we still have his eye gym? One of Lowe's greatest jokes.

A VERY good point that Tim.
