...but what you cant tell us is why we have no investment (or indeed have NEVER attracted investment under Lowe) and why the SISU deal was declined. MC however has told us that there is investment there but it will not come in whilst Lowe is here... I have no reason to doubt that. Facts: Lowe has NEVER attracted investment into SFC. Never ever, past - present or future [?]. According to MC, Crouch has attracted investment, if Lowe is out. RL looking for investment? lol lol lol lol (rpt) Maybe. Chances of success? Little. Better off without him? You betcha. Possibly looking to consolidate his holding on the club if we go into administration? I think so.

I dont think so. If Lowe has ANY sense at all he'll at least leave in the summer and say 'I came back and saved the club from administration' to rebuild his errrr 'reputation'. But then does he have any sense? I dont think we need to - I think there are many worse than us who won't. If we do it will be because some of our existing shareholders may have a plan to consolidate their holdings on the back of administration IMHO - and that is the worrying thing. If we go into administration I worry that it will not be in the Clubs interest but once more for the interest of certain shareholders. The reason I think that is the case is that at no stage have the board declared the Club as being 'For Sale'. Why?

Interesting post that from Duncan on Pompey's plight. I suppose of the 3 clubs in the south: Cherrys are cheap and cheerful to pick up - Arry wants them in time does he not. I suspect he's a useful ally for them at the moment. I think they'll be OK. Pompey are Premiership. If they go down I cant see them promoting as the best will leave. They'll be in big poo as they'll use their parachute payments to help clear the debt. OR they'll stay up and be sold as the one thing they have done is put the club up for sale - a massive start point. Infrastructure is pump and has not had time to mature. End of Pompey in the Premiership for many years could be close - but they still have too much quality to relegate IMHO. They'll sell and survive. Saints. Oh dear. Great infrastructure. Largest fan base (but staying away partly due to the boardroom/Lowe and partly due to results). NOT advertised as for sale - but arguably worth buying ahead of Pompey for number of fans/infrastructure reasons alone. Nucleus of a young squad to build upon with men for a promotion battle with a decent new manager. Problem is... we are NOT for sale. Unlike the Cherry's and Sk8s we have not declared the club as being on the market. Are we missing out opportunity when the buyers come down to sniff the fish?

Ditto. My heart has bled enough for Saints since Lowe's return. My head tells me TDD is wrong though.

...or any other unemployed British manager with the added bonus of CCC/League 1 knowledge and experience?
-
or... if we relegate he know's he's off as Lowe will be? Silver-lining on relegation cloud part 2?
-
I think his wife didnt approve of him talking on the messageboard in the first place... or coming back as Chairman of the plc
-
Oh great. ... at least there's a silver lining on the cloud of relegation then.

If the choice was forced upon you would you take Bates or Lowe? Me? Bates 100%.

Did he have an open chequebook at Pompey then? 'Anne Frank's drum kit!' ... coffee over my keyboard due to that! -
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11517 I think we should all nominate Richard Chorley - just to see if he makes the top 6!

What happened to the SFC coach sent on gardening leave last month?
SaintRobbie replied to Redondo Saint's topic in The Saints
More importantly ... why were tey put on gardening leave? -
That is a very important point from Steve, and I agree with him. We simply must: a. Find a buyer to avoid this scenario. b. Deter the existing boardroom from reemerging.

lol!

Lowe. He came back, he appointed Wotte and JP, he made foolish decisions over a club policy of playing youth, he didnt have to sideline yet still pay the wages of players we needed to play for saints like Euell, Saga, Rudi. He has made the most foolhardy and crass decisions of his whole time at Saints. He represents a failed plc not a football club. He hates the fans, he has an arrogance beyond his limited ability, he is the cancer of this club. We brings no optimism, no cash, no investment. He lies. He has no integrity. He is hated by fans, players, staff and people who know him. He is Askham's puppet without knowing it. He is responsible for generating division. He has destroyed everything Ted Bates stood for. He is not from Southampton. He is a hockey player. He refuses to allow cheap pricing at matches to fill the ground. He deters fans from attending. He is hated by the press. He has made Saints a laughing stock in the media. He is hated by footballing professional and ex Saints managers. He lives for the plc not the club. He wants to continue after relegation. He wants to prove us all wrong over his youth policy - thousands of us wrong. He destroyed the Itchen corner hotbed of support in a stroke of a pen when he closed the corners. He holidayed when times were desperate. He put out our best players on loan when he neednt have. He refused to sell the club or declare it for sale. Need I go on....

Correct. I think that's an important post. We all have opinions - thats football - but whats key is we all want to stay up and all want to advance. We actually all wish Wotte and Lowe well... just that it's pointless! -
Ah a man! Yep he'll do.

See me ref spellink.

LOL! I know, I did once... I'm sorry. It all hapened when Lowe was reappointed and sadly I have not had a reason to overcome the depression that appointment brought at the time, the foolish decisions made and the results we now find ourselves with. I thought we'd bottomed out once Lowe left, we had to be honest (despite finances) as we had optimism. Now we've yet to bottom out again. Still my friends still like me though! -

Or... its mirroring what has happened at Saints, improvement followed by relegation. -
True. And despite not renewing my STs when Lowe was reappointed and boycotting games I will go to every game I can to cheer them on.

http://www.wolves.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1600761,00.html I see Wolves fans parliament seems to be reflecting Mick Mac's dynamism! What a dull agenda! Wonder what ours will be like?
