Its the banks fault we're about to see Wilde and Lowe potentially leave forever. I like the bank.

I tell you what everyone. This is not a sad day. I am surprised over the potential retention of points that gives the team a fighting chance, but the destruction of the plc and resignation of Lowe and Wilde may just be the most important and super day in Saints recent history. I am watching carefully, but I think this may just be the start of a wave of optimism. NOW LETS SUPPORT THE TEAM...GET TO THE GAME ON SATURDAY...WE HAVE A RELEGATION BATTLE TO WIN. LOWES GONE! OPTIMISM... OPTIMISM.... may just about to be returning to Saints! We're on our way back. LETS GET THAT BUYER. LETS GET BEHIND ILLINGWORTHS CALL AND FILL SMS ON SATURDAY. LETS ALL SELL THIS CLUB!!!!

Methinks something is going to happen tomorrow... OPTIMISM.

But incompetence should have rewarded him with the same result many years ago Ponty, still... happy days... (I think).

Oh I think if and when Lowe resigns tomorrow we have a relegation battle on our hands and a chance of staying up... we'll see a good turn out on Saturday now!!!

Lowe. FAILURE. AGAIN. Goodbye
-
It began before that, with the reason WGS left... and he's about to resign
-
Let him try and save us. THEN ... sack him.

Its almost worth a thread next season - bearing in mind a large amount of Eastleigh fans are Saints fans .. 'Who will you support in the local League 2 derby?'

I know Phil - I am well aware of that and have posted consistent warning about that on this messageboard since November I think. That worries me more than anything. But, if they're removed from decision-making we have a chance.

Not sure that changing the colour of our shirts has anything to do with the leadership and decisionmaking of those who have run the club down the toilet mate. As for the second para I'm afraid I simply have not said that. But what I will say is we were a 1st Division side throughout that period and not a relegation facing CCC one with lower League 1 standard players. We're about to see our club in the lowest position for 49 years. There is a reason for that. It is the fact that we are a disunified, badly run PLC, whose priorities have gradually switched from footballing success to business consolidation. Yes Man Utd is a plc - but it is not badly run, it has always been football focussed as a priority for that success. PLCs can work. Our has not and will never work. It must be removed along with those who have crafted the results over the last few years, we must actively seak a buyer instead of sitting on our backsides and just hoping and we can then think about returning to where we should be. -
Come on you must enjoy this one from his... errrr.. a hem... 'hockey accident'

Yes but there is a chance that it wouldnt have been down to 10p now under Crouch.

Have to agree with that to be honest - although he wasnt that bad against the Irish I thought!

Sorry - I thought I'd done that. In fact I have stated that plc's can work if run by the right people and also that it served a useful purpose early on in contributing to infrastructure rebuilding. I fully accept there are other reasons - but there has only been one consistent factor in the demise of finances and league position which is undeniable - the fact we are a plc. More than just coincidence? Dont forget we have been slipping down in good times financially AND bad with different leadership and not just Lowe at the helm over a dozen years. Again - what has been consistent in our fall through good times and bad? PLC. Time's up for it - time to run a club properly as a football first organisation - that is the reason Sheffield Utd has ditched it. -
Interesting analogy Duncan, but I am inclined to stick with straight forward incompetent leadership- it sums up all of the traits identified by this syndrome simply. What do you think Rupert?

Agree with all of that to be honest. But would add to the last line that we havent got a cat in hells chance of investment whilst Lowe is associated with the club. Mary Corbett has already stated as much and frankly given his record I fully concur with her assessment. -
Why is that Kev? Too big? I've not been to the new Wembley yet, only the old one. (Best and Idiakez's fault! )

Unless he's out of sorts with his team or the underpressure management? Fans at QPR love him.

I wouldnt call retired people pigs lol

Alot of good points made here and in others replies on whether the club is for sale or not. I am certainly not making anything up though Itchen, we have not had a policy of actively searching for a buyer since the SISU deal was refused and the execs, charged with delivering exactly that indeed delivered. Official documents or not I do not see any evidence of a sales campaign. If we are publishing our intent to open negotiations with interested parties it is frankly not worth the paper it is written on until there is an interested party. So if we were honestly serious about selling the club surely we'd have formed a sales team by now? The answer is we havent, sitting back and waiting for a buyer is not a strategy of a boardroom intent on selling this club for the good of this club. There is not the combined will or intent to sell this club. Read and believe what you like on plc paper - the evidence simply does not exist that this boardroom are looking for a buyer. Crouch may well be on an individual mission to find one, but the boardroom is not being proactive. At best it is laziness, at worst it indicates the poor leadership we have is intent on staying. Whether it is published or not that the club is interested in offers a buyer IS NOT being sought out (openly in any case, which provides the most chance of success). We are not telling the world (in the same fashion as our fishy friends down the road) that we are for sale. Until we do it is safe to assume that those in power wish to retain that power and continue to make the type of decisions that 15 odd years of recent history ably demonstrate will result in continued failure on the pitch and continued failure financially.
