  1. They do but play far fewer per game than we do. They have a hard core of experience that their teams are based around, a hardcore of leaders reinforced by developing youth. We have a team of developing youth with few hardcore experienced leaders ... who are rarely played anyway.
  2. I think they are better equipped with experience than we are now (unless our loanees return). Thus BD might work better for them than us. Dont get me wrong I'd take almost anyone above JP and our current DoF... but it aint happening without Lowe's removal methinks.
  3. I think thats correct if Lowe stays. But like all appointments from within rarely do the new coaches make a difference, they are already part of the failing mentality. We do need an outside change... but I fear the damage has already been done by Lowe whoever comes - and afterall who will???? No one is going to want to work for Lowe. We are going to sell our best nippas. We are not going to buy experience. We are not getting a new manager who understands this league... unless we get a SIGNIFICANT change in the boardroom.
  4. Agreed. I think Forest will take Billy davies too. I think he still lives locally and - unlike Saints - he has a team of potential bully boys to work with. I dont think BD would work for Saints now given the youth - I agree he would be better than JP - but frankly due to the team makeup it would be the difference of finishing last or 2nd to last IMHO. Davies will however, possibly rescue Forest.
  5. We are going down in last place this season and possibly to League 2 the next given the current regime. I think the current form table gives you all the evidence you need for that statement to be as true as any other. So, we continue to slide before the bottoming out of the club financially. New thesis required.
  6. I think we need to change our Director of Football first.
  7. Here here!
  8. LOL... but the fact that the Club Historian has just rekindled the debate and possibility rather puts Fulthorpe back into the mix ol' friend.
  9. Which is why I have been posting that Fulthorpe needs to openly declare his interest now in the Echo ... or shut up. At the moment however, he is the only ray of optimism we have.
  10. We could always out-sing Manure for the whole game with: Swing Lowe Swing Rupert Lowe Swing him from the Itchen Bridge Swing Lowe Swing Rupert Lowe Swing him from the Itchen Bridge Would be rather good as the Utd fans will get annoyed that their taunting will not be having an effect and whats more it will make the point to the press, the footballing world, fans, board and Lowe. Lets face it we're going to be slaughtered on the pitch so supporting the team isnt going to make a difference. Lets support the CLUB for a change not the team. I think that would be rather good coupled with an Air Ads plane - come on Offix start up a pay pal site for us to contribute to to pay for the plane again! Air power cannot be checked by Lowe's bully boy doormen.
  11. I think the Manure game is going to be ugly in so many ways.
  12. Thats the secret. Mix them with experience. We do not have enough quality or experience now without a major rebuild.
  13. Very interesting post. I like the idea of forming a board in waiting. But, it would have to be the Fulthorpe board. Very clever idea as it actually forces the takeover board into the open too. I would hope it would also be a Football Board rather than plc one, but one thing at a time I suppose. Might just work against an entrenched Lowe.
  14. Only one other explanation... arrogance in his own (lack of) ability. I think you're on to something there and that worries me. I can see Lowe having the ruthlessness to do this. Afterall he has hated the people whom administration and further relegation would mean the most for their pride, passion and optimism... the fans. I would still love to read a psychologists review of this man... come on there must be one on here somewhere!
  15. Then lets put pressure on Fulthorpe to declare his hand and therefore embarrass Lowe into telling the world why he wont accept the deal. Personally I think you are wrong. I think Lowe has no intention of going anywhere and options for removing him once and for all are now likely to boil down to Branfoot tactics. I will have nothing to do with that but many will. My family of ex ST holdees will not be there to witness that inevitability. Come on Fulthorpe - get on to the Echo and declare your hand - AND DO IT FAST.
  16. Forest are targetting Billy Davies and Roy Keane according to the Daily Mail.
  17. Agreed.
  18. That is the key. Now I think we need to mobilise the whole fan base AND THE PRESS as aggressively as necessary to try and achieve this. Mr Lowe and Wilde need to be embarrassed into accepting this deal... AND FAST. Our leaders awaiteth on the pitch and in the boardroom.
  19. Oh dear Mr Lowe.
  20. I agree. But, Lowe isnt the entire problem - its what he represents - the plc and not a football club. We need to delist and get rid of Lowe, Crouch, Wilde and Corbett as shareholders once and for all. Then and only then can this Club start to rebuild in a UNIFIED manner.
  21. I found it hard at first. But actually feel that by staying away I am doing some good. That said I also find myself desperate to go and support as I know the fans will be key to keeping us up this season - so I want to do my bit for the team whilst undermining the plc. Confused, angry and desperate for Lowe and the plc to finally leave so I can genuinely come back and support a football club and not a **** plc that has sucked the lifeblood out of this club for too long.
  22. I am boycotting. And I suspect 2-6 thousand are already boycotting given Ruperts reemergence and the pathetic coach and poor team results.
  23. But the cancer is not necessarily with the manager or coach or puppet or whatever he is. It lies with the organisation of the club. The way to change is to take a leaf out of Sheffield Utd's book, delist the plc and rid ourselves of the senior shareholders forever. And that means Wilde, Crouch AND Corbett as well as losing Rupert Lowe forever. Until we do this we shall continually slide under Lowes leadership of a plc that failed a long time again. GIVE US OUR FOOTBALL CLUB BACK.
  24. I agree with ALL said. Until another fan leader steps forward who has credibility (ie not seen as a plc puppet) Chorley is all we have. Richard - good luck. BUT, concentrate on selling this club thereafter.
  25. I accept your reply fully. Apologies - I never meant to group you accordingly. Read the Echo version... it's terribly enlightening.
