Fans thoughts of our standing in the game?
BadgerBadger replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
To improve our standing we need regular top half finishes for many years, a few trophies and a decent level of consistency -
I haven't sat down all season and nothing unsafe has happened yet........................

So my well traveled friends with the wife finaly conceding that large inclusive hotel holidays are not for me/us we're thinking of getting a villa in Portugal for this years holiday, never been before so any recommendations of areas to look at/avoid.............

I spent 3 weeks on Koh Panghan in '97 on my travels and it was the most chilled I've ever been, not many decisions to make just food, swim, smoke, watch spiders/lizards, smoke and sleep - simplistic and superb, happy times.

Very interesting, makes sense that they would not just leave someone to run the show and not have a very close eye on what they're doing and how it is perceived.

Very much so

Mauricio Pochettino staying as Southampton manager - Official
BadgerBadger replied to Ashley Grute's topic in The Saints
"In recent weeks, his appearances at the training ground, often before seven in the morning, had grown less frequent. Something had changed, something was wrong." This will in some way explain our recent drop in form and some lack lustre performances from some players, hopefully relatively normal service will be resumed -
I to find this sort of thing interesting - check out http://www.subbrit.org.uk/

Oh FFS - get over yourselves

It's very simple.....it's just not that simple - we're great, just not as great as some wish/hope/want but doing very well in the context of reality
-
My point made is complete.....honestly, take a look at your list, which one would you choose....I see the point you're making, can you see mine?

There's no putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 4 when it comes to NC.....if MP goes we turn into a another Chelsea manager merry go round, keep the faith one and all as I'm sure NC is/will - we're playing good football which is a requisite that NC is after

A dark day for Britain but some light at last

I like to see this as a 'look how far we've come in a relatively short space of time' - be interesting what will be looked back at from 60 yrs hence.... -
EXCLUSIVE: Manchester United plan to sign Adam Lallana
BadgerBadger replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
So what would you lot do and why? Me?.................... I'm way closer to a MLT than I am an Anelka, irrespective of allegiances -
He's not been the same since the England games, looked very out of sorts today

Loved his commentary style.....RIP

Anyone taken their kids out of term time since the new law?
BadgerBadger replied to Tractor_Saint's topic in The Lounge
Does the future off my kids really hang on the 1 or 2 weeks that I (may) take them out in term time per year, the government should've kept the decision local with the Headmasters (as it was before), I thought they wanted everything to be more community based FFS. This is a badly thought out and cheap attempt to improve education standards and will only really show any benefit on chart hidden away in the depths of whitehall during some tedious and boring seminar. All the fines will probably only just cover the numerous consultants that thought up this cack. -

BadgerBadger replied to Tractor_Saint's topic in The Lounge
Frigging stupid rule, the headmaster wrote to us all and said his hands are tied but we've taken our 6 yr old daughter out for 2 days and was upfront with the school and didn't hear back from them, hopefully they'll be sensible with this new ruling (as we will be with any term time absence) - I'll be spitting fire if they try and fine us -
A sad indictment of the modern Saints fan?
BadgerBadger replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Isn't the upside of this that more people want to watch Saints play, the medium used is mostly irrelevant and who knows it may even coax a few extra bods to the ground......
