  1. The main worry for me, is the SAME worry as this time last season ....# If Rasiak goes .....WE DO NOT HAVE A GOALSCORER ..... therefore, as last season, we will play some Pretty Pretty Football, then get stuffed when a Big Strong opposing CF bangs one in against us Stern John has gone .... the Rasiak situation changes daily ..... We simply do not have the fire power Up Front OTHER Div 1 Teams have recognised strike Forces .... at the moment we do not IMHO, Pinnacle caused us to lose FIVE weeks, and for that, all associated with that "Con of the Century" should be shot ( Except MLT ) Leibherr/Cortese/Pardew are now suffering from those wasted weeks
  2. Yup .... they can be a bit of a (back) pain .........
  3. Agreed ... but if The Pinnacle Plot hadn't happened ...... we would have had FIVE more weeks to get players in.......... (I suppose when MI5 open the Files in 30 years time, we will find out the truth)
  4. Truly Gutted He was a Genuine Geordie, and loved Newcastle FC I am so very very pleased that he made it to his "Tribute" Match at St James Park, where so many of "His" players paid tribute to him He looked so very very frail, and I did make the comment to my wife that I did not think it long before we heard the worst God Bless You Sir Bobby Robson ..... a Real Credit To Football Condolences to his Family, and of course to all Geordies of Newcastle FC
  5. AP's Friday Announcement .... " A) Saga is leaving B) Rasiak is leaving .... does anyone think we need Strikers ??? " Everybody says we must be patient, and not criticise Markus Leibherr ........ but in just over a WEEK, we start the League campaign on - 10 points And our STRIKE FORCE is even LESS than it was last season OTHER not so "fashionable" League 1 Teams have added to their Squads ..... I don't believe that - 10 points over 46 matches is such a terrible handicap for a STRONG TEAM to overcome ...... but it will be all the more difficult after The January Sales ........ because by then, some more of OUR players may want to leave
  6. As Jimmy Greaves said ....... " Funny old game Saints .... funny old game .... " ..... ( Could explian why Stanley hasn't claimed his "winnings" off me yet ..... )
  7. I assume that includes free access to a sheep after the match ..... ?????
  8. As you say, I do not entirely agree with you, although I do share you sentiments, and, if it were that easy, I too would say "Just throw money at it" But, IMHO, "throwing money at it ", would be a knee jerk reaction, and does not always work ........ Whilst we were in the Prem it may have worked to keep us up ......... and, in the CCC it may have worked to stave off relegation BUT .... We start in ( another ) NEW League (to us) ...... Division 1 .... which, by definition is NOT as good as the Prem, OR the CCC Completely different tactics are needed IMHO, what we have to get used to is a drop in Quality, with more emphasis on "Route One" .... It will NOT be pretty, but that is what Div 1 is all about IMHO, "Footballers/Ball players" are few and far between in Div 1
  9. Over Koktails etc .... did he mention whether we still had a Mortgage ????
  10. That's the back four settled then ..........:smt060:grin:
  11. With respect, I think you are forgetting something ..... ALL Division 1 Teams are well down in repect of "Pecking Order" It starts with Prem Teams .... They decide WHO they want to Replace, and once they replace, the ones that they are replacing THEN are up for grabs by CCC Teams ............ The process starts again, and the Residue is up for grabs by DIVISION ! Teams, etc etc Those are the facts of life for Division 1 Teams I am sure Alan Pardew has a " Shopping List", but he has to wait for the Div 1 Shop to be open, before he finds out exactly WHO is available, ie NOT retained/available for transfer Being in Division 1 is no fun ..... but it's even worse for Division 2 Teams
  12. IMHO it is better already .... We are Debt Free, which is amazing in itself We do NOT have to sell or get rid of players to balance the books The downside at the moment is that we have a few players that do not WANT to play in Div 1, and are therefore looking elsewhere Once that has happened, Pardew can then bring in some players to compliment what we already have The Biggest " Downside ", is, IMHO, the Fans Expectations We narrowly avoided going to the wall, thanks to Pinnacle ..... and we start in DIVISION 1 ... repeat DIVISION 1 ..... on MINUS 10 points, which is a massive handicap Being in Division 1, we simply cannot ATTRACT the calibre of player that we could when in the Prem, and in the CCC Fans MUST get their heads round the fact that we are going to see some players arrive at St Mary's that we would normally class as "past it", "donkeys" etc etc ....... THAT's LIFE IN DIVISION 1 Whoever AP brings in, we must give them all 150% Support, to get us off to a winning League Campaign
  13. After last night ... ie 1 - 2 Get rid of Henderson Mr Pardew .... Appoint your OWN "staff" NOW !!!!!!!! Simples
  14. Farnborough 2 Saints 1 Lesson to be learned ... Henderson won't be a Manager/Coach as long as he has a Hole in his Arse .... ..... SO, Mr Pardew .... bring in YOUR men NOW !!!!!!!!!
  15. Yes, he's fallen in love with Paterson ........
  16. I DON'T GET IT ???????????? According to the Sky article ........ Rasiak was prepared to take a "Pay Cut" ( if he signed for other Teams) .... ......... so why can't he take a pay cut for US ... Surely Pardew can explore that avenue .... Lazy or not, if he goes, then so does at least 80% of our goalscoring potential BOSMAN FREEBIES will NOT be the same, IMHO PS, IF Rasiak is on the way out, why play him in the build up games to the start of the League campaign ..... SILLY
  17. Good point .........This close to the start of the League campaign, you play what is most likely your League line up surely .... ?? No point in Rasiak scoring loads in friendlies .... if he is NOT going to be around when it really matters ... ie League Games:cool:
  18. Perhaps so .... but IMHO, the Two we get would NOT collectively match the goal tally that Rasiak will get ....... and it is GOALS that winnmatches, generate interest, attract better crowds, increase Revenue coming in etc etc Selling Rasiak would be a Short Sighted appraovh IMHO, and would go against our supposed New positive View of the future
  19. Yes, he is our best option as Goal poacher, especially in Div 1 IMHO though, the onlt way we will keep him is if every other Team Does not, or Will not, match his financial demands Expensive he may be, but I doubt if SFC would, or could recruit an adequate Man for Man replacement, in terms of Goal potential I think it essential that he stays
  20. I used to know a Clair Voyant ......... she used to read my mind and slap my face before I'd done anything ........
  21. I thought that as well .......... .......... but it does not explain the very Loud Silence from Messrs Wilde and Lowe since Admin ........ Did they sell up prior to the "Crash" ... ????
  22. I really don't know what you mean:D BUT .... IMHO, the "Debt" WAS being reduced ..... so WHO told (Fry) of Barclays to "pull the plug" ......... ONE week late ....... and where is Fry (ex Barclays) working now ??? ::snipe:cool: PS: Bit OTT with the use of ......... IMHO:p:D
  23. Possibly reflecting on the Pinnacle of his success ......... or the Un - success of his Pinnacle ... ???? Just a thought
  24. Big ????? ......... possibly Backer ???? ........NOT the word I'd use, though sounds similar
  25. I completely agree docker-p What put me off initially, was the "day to day" updates of how things were going etc ........utter Bullsh*t Did we hear anything substantial from Leibherr ???? YES ........ when it had all been finalised .... in the way Big Business actually operates
