The Lull before the Storm ?? Last season I renewed my ST on the 19th JUNE .... for next season the deadline for ST renewals is 30th MAY Why the Rush ?? It smells of "Get em all signed up before we announce the Fire Sale" Pessimistic ??? Yes ....... but can anyone put a positive spin on things ? For example, the Manager's situation should have been sorted MONTHS ago I've been through situations just like this before, and it Stinks to high heaven. The Club simply think we are all mugs, and come kick off for 2014/5, a lot of ST holders will be thinking the same

Excellent point Historically, Saints have always trapped thousands in the net before giving out the news that they are selling the Big Fish I'm of the opinion that unless there are Firm Committments as to whether we are still aiming to break into the top Four/Six. The only "insurance" in giving a 5 year deal is that if the person is touted by "otheres", they would have to Buy Out the Contract. Pochettino only has one year left, so he is ripe for the picking by others so to speak Our Board, by NOT tying him up with a long term deal, is not showing the Ambition that was here under Markus/Cortese Rightly or wrongly, Markus gave Nicola Free Reign in how he went about achieving Markus's Dream Once that had been achieved, Katharina decided to take over, and has made it very clear that we have to " be accountable " which is a very different ball game (pun intended)

I agree, Most other Clubs in the position of having a GOOD YOUNG PROGRESSIVE Manager with ONLY one year left on his contract, would have locked him up in chains long ago, until he signed a NEW 5 year deal But not Katharina and her Board. Well IMHO, it's no use waiting until Pochettino receives an offer from another Club The absolute NON movement on this and many other major matters ( which should NOT be left until the end of season ), SHOULD tell you which way the Board are going to go in their forward thinking and planning IT WON'T BE UPWARDS

What we NEED is one thing, what we GET is another If anyone thinks we will be even Looking at Class players to improve the squad, then I think they are seriously Deluded. We are only an Average Prem Team, with a Stadium limited to 32500 max, and cannot offer European Football, which most Top players want. I've got a large piece of paper, so, come on, please forward the names of Saints Top Players who SAY that they will be with us Next season (excluding Jay of course )

WHY is everybody so surprised at this ?? But they are punished for their mistakes, sometimes by retrospective video replay Referees make mistakes, of course they do, they are only human, but their mistakes are NEVER corrected, even though the same retrospective replays would aid them And the people who NEED the most help ARE the Refs and Linesmen In a lot of other sports, Modern Technology is there to HELP the officials, not deride them. The derision comes when Oficials don't utilise the Technology that is available When cars were first invented, there had to be a man with a red flag walking in front (True), BUT That changed when the cars started to go faster than the man could walk. AMBITION To do with Saints So why was it moved to this Muppet Site ?? I emailed the Administrator, but have had no reply (no surprise there) Hardly worth mentioning that one of our "rivals" (West Ham) have already said that they intend to Strengthen by the purchase of 3 to 5 Top Quality players (I assume it's that sort of comment that Miss Leibherr does not want to read on the Main Site ?? )

Before I make any comment that brings down the wrath of my "fans", I think I'll wait I'll wait until the end of the season to see if :- A) We sell the players that would prefer to play for a team offering European football B) Whether SFC (Katharina) continues in the trend of spending BIG to attract BIG names to the Club C) Whether Pochettino is still here as our Manager D) Whether any realistic Statement is issued by SFC as to whether we are STILL on track to "grow" by the commencement of enlarging St Mary's, or of any possible relocation Until we know the Club's position on those topics, it would be unfair of me to comment .......... ..... so I won't
