  1. Strange one for me. We have McCarthy and Forster running down contracts so we either get another in now and still have 3 plus Lewis, or we let their contracts run down then look for 2 next year. There's always the possibility we'd extend one of them and get another, but that'd be nuts. There may be another scenario, but it feels a bit odd.
  2. I've called you none of those things mate. Stop whining and accept that if you give, you'll get back.
  3. I'm not here to adjudicate on what's allowed mate, that's for the mods, but you've been abusing people by calling them a gammon. You get a dig back from Duckie and then sulk. If you don't want a slap back, don't slap others.
  4. Wanna stop throwing around the childish Gammon insults mate? Reap/sow etc.
  5. People like Antrim still won't get it though Hypo. They either believe or have been led to believe that the knee being used in football is a nice little gesture, and that only racists cannot get behind it. Every statement or comment from football managers or players supporting that position is widening the divide. I'm not sure where we go from here, but the cycle has to stop and the solution is so simple.
  6. Tsimikas at Liverpool is an interesting one for me. Always going to be an understudy to Robertson, but too good to rarely play. I suspect its him or Neco Williams we wanted when we ended up with Minamino. No rumours, but we appear to have a good relationship with Liverpool and him on loan wouldn't surprise me.
  7. Behave. He's not been written off, just the point being made that he's short ish for a defender.
  8. By a long distance. I don't see what N'lundulu offers other than size. His 1st touch is awful, and he's quite a bit older than Obafemi.
  9. Time
  10. Yep. There's a player in there. Pace, reasonable touch, good on the turn, strong, can finish. He needs a run of games somewhere and could do very well.
  11. Agreed. He has all sorts of ability and its easy to see why he signed him. Indeed, if he'd applied himself we'd all be sat here wandering when a big club would be snapping him up. It's a real shame how this one went.

    Coronavirus

Blimey, this was days ago Whitey. I'm not a "soft touch" or "under the thumb". I have a simple choice. 1. Whinge and whine about what I can't do, or 2. Accept that I can't do shit about government policy and enjoy what I can do. It's 2 all day long for me. It's a very peaceful way to live, and I genuinely wouldn't want to be living with frustrations and angst about stuff I can't control. I appreciate there's frustration and pain, we've all been hit by Covid in our own way, but I'll continue to take the positives out of life.
  13. No confusion. Call it what you will. Take Anthony Joshua at a BLM rally last year saying to black people to give priority to supporting black business's. That's not promoting an equal society.
  14. Two of them never played in the same team...one short FB, no drama, both could be a problem. I didn't realise Irwin was so short though, but he was cracking player. The others weren't shabby either. And granted, Cedric was shite.
  15. The "confused" reactions to this post highlights that people don't understand what this about on both sides.
  16. Err, how do you get equality with inequality?
  17. If the BLM movement sought equality it'd be OK. It doesn't. The mantra is pro black, not equality. My politics are a long way left of centre and I see what BLM is about, but can't support its divisive message, and object to it being thrust onto the masses by footy players. A simple, non controversial, non political, message of equality (not just race) such as "equality for all" is something everyone bar the actual racists and loons will get behind. What this thread shows is division, and a lack of recognition of the actual BLM message (or as a minimum, the perception) and an unwillingness to listen to why decent people object to the knee on football.
  18. But he isn't 5 10. He's 5 8. So is KWP. If we play both, half of our back 4 will be exposed in the air. We'll be vulnerable to high balls into both full back areas. You can get away with one side, but both is risky. Add in that JWP is the same height, we will be exposed when defending corners with a lack of height in the team.
  19. Oh come on, you can't compare BLM to the British Legion, and say that both have tenuous political associations. The British Legion is a charity supporting servicemen. It isn't trying to bring about change. BLM, as a movement, is trying to bring about societal change, thus it has a political agenda.

    Coronavirus

He's been trotting this nonsense out for ages mate, but can't say what the plan is, who's behind it, why, and what they hope to achieve. Bless him.
  21. Speaking
  22. Looks decent but his height could be a concern. We struggled with Cedric (same height) at right back.

Yep. Daft words from Vaughan, and a daft decision from the ECB.
