Good lad. I didn't expect that car, but he's gone up in my estimation.
-
Amen. I'm a right wing fascist in SOG's eyes, but my politics are firmly left of centre.
-
We don't know that he could or would have put cash in if there were no restrictions.
-
Sure, over simplified from me, but oppression and occupation leads to terrorism, radicalism, martyrdom, and all that goes with it.
-
I don't even know where to start with this nonsense. Terrorism is created, largely as a reaction to oppression/imperialism/occupation.

But some creativity or running between the lines from our 6's wouldn't hurt. We had running from there when Armstrong played as a 6 which added a dimension to our play. We even had more creativity from Vestergaard as a CB than our 6's gave us. Is it that our 6's aren't there to create, or rather that they aren't creative players? Seems odd that 6's would be instructed not to create, but a CB is left to do so.

And why do you think there's a risk of that? They haven't got the hump with us because we've respectfully left them and their people to their own devices have they, but yet you insist that they we carry on meddling. Messed logic.
-
Yep. The Afghan people won't want the brutality of the Taliban, but it's arrogant of the west to insist that they have what we have. Those that keep on about needing to stay involved to curb the threat of terrorism from Afghanistan need to understand why there's a threat. Further meddling in the affairs of that country only heightens the risk. Not our circus, not our animals.

Indeed - we won't be signing anymore Stars for a while.
-
We should, but France finally reimbursing the reparation money that it took from Haiti over 6 generations would go along to giving that country hope.
-
Yep. All whilst building, strengthening and plotting. Absolute mess of a situation, but we've left carnage pretty much everywhere we've meddled.
-
The harsh reality probably is that it was indefinitely or nothing. Indefinitely was not realistic, but what those people have is dire. Tough call, but unless we were willing to stay and contain forever more, was there an alternative?
-
Yep its shit. How long should we have stayed?
-
I posed a similar question above. What's been happening over there is dreadful, and it'll get worse. Unless people are suggesting that the West should have stayed around indefinitely, I'm not quite sure what people expected to happen. We should never have meddled, all we've achieved is a more resilient Taliban, more internal division, and lots of destruction. Sad situation.

Sure, there are successes and failures, but for me, I think given that we need someone to come in, integrate, play and succeed, I'd be happy with a proven championship player. Even a hipster.
-
I think that's a big part of it. New culture, language, climate, must be a massive thing. A drive down the M1 is altogether different.
-
I've studied that beard and it's not trimmed at right angles so don't panic.
-
If he hand grinds his home roasted coffee beans whilst listening to that gramophone, it's a no from me.
-
I'm not sure why, but it happens that way. Take Adam Armstrong, makes his move and comes straight into the team. Adamo Del Armstrongo from some foreign league wouldn't have done that. Cash at Villa did well last season, Watkins too, ditto most of the Leeds players after promotion, etc.
-
He's named after a village near Sheffield, not a Peruvian village, so he's as non hipster as a mug of tea. He'd make a bloody good signing though, and I've prefer a proven championship performer to a hipster who'll need a season to adapt.
-
Yep, but this Dman may turn out to be a nice new poster. Always has seemingly gone, and this warriorsaint may fill a gap. We've also had a Watson and Holmes pop up too.
-
How he was once is irrelevant to his form over those 27 games, and his poor game management. Nothing lasts forever. 15 points I think it is over the last 21 games, which equates to 27 points over a 38 game season. On any assessment that's relegation - do you honestly think persisting with him in the hope that he can resurrect us is worth the risk?
-
I agree that we don't need flair from our two x 6's, but the way they play don't help us dictate play. When Armstrong played in there, he played with no more flair as such, but he broke forward with the ball and gave an extra dimension to our play. Diallo has the ability to do that to a limited extent, but JWP and Romeu don't have it in their lockers. The problem with Armstrong as a 6 of course is that if he's in there, we lose him as a 10. Yep, many holes in this team.

So if I called you a racist and popped a winky on the end that'd be ok would it? I don't for one moment believe you are, I just want to establish that we can say what we like about people, pop a winky on, and all is cool.
