  1. Was going to say skagen, great watches but not traditional. Tissot are fine watches, a poor mans omega. Watch hut have loads of bargains.
  2. [quote=Fowllyd; I must say I do find it astonishing that any estate agent would behave in this way, particularly at a time when properties aren't exactly selling like crazy. Sadly I deal with these people daily. They're a greedy bunch who try it on and many fall for it. They're pretty much an unregulated " profession" so can and do what they want. The only people they deal with on a recurring basis are the lawyers but it's it not in their interests to make noises if something doesn't look right as the agent feeds them the work. There was a case a few years back of agents in Shirley falling fowl of trading standards for not passing on offers. That's rare, how often would they get found out?
  3. This can work with mobile cb's and attack minded full backs. I think our cb's could cope and the system of them pulling wide would allow the full backs to push up . It's the fb's that would worry me in that system. Fox doesn't overlap enough and I'm not sure Richardson is intelligent enough positionally to handle being a wide midfielder at times and a full back when needed. Chaplow wouldn't be disciplined enough either. Nice idea though, Wigan looked great playing it.
  4. The threads will still descend into farce though. MLG will get all evangelical, Turkish will wind him nice and tight, the usual suspects will chip in and by the end you'll have forgotten what the thread was ever about. Beats Facebook I suppose.
  5. Agents try this all the time. They also try the " you must use our approved conveyancer " ******. They're just trying to sew up the whole food chain. Just tell them there job is to sell houses and you'll look elsewhere if they don't stop being silly. They need you more than you need them.
  6. There's no chance of this happening, none at all. If villa came calling that would be a different matter. The Liverpool job will go to a young manager though, my cash is on Rodgers.
  7. This is on this weekend. Are any fellow forum members going? My wreck will be sporting a saints scarf ( assuming it makes it!).

The time thing isn't an issue. Ask someone to flip the bonnet of something you like. Easy to check for head gasket mayo, low fluids in brakes or clutch, twist the steering wheel and check for play. If your really worried stand over it when first started and listen for knocks and look for smoke. Also look for colour imbalances and uneven gaps between panels, both suggest accident damage. My dads golden rules (he was in the trade) were to avoid a car that the traders were ignoring and only bid at the last minute. Always worked for me.

Agreed. Blackbushe is overpriced. Get a mate to drive you up north, bell vue is great, buy something and drive it home. The alternative is to buy the same car off a dealer at a premium. Cutting out the middle man is a no brainier.

Have bought loads of cars at auction, and never bought a lemon yet. Stick to ex lease, company, fleet, NHS or similar and you should be fine. It will have been serviced properly and have history. Avoid anything from the trade as its usually sh!te they want rid of. Register with bca to see catalogues. They'll tell you if its lease stuff and give service info and photos. If you can travel a bit as I've got much better deals up north. If you go sort s shortlist and a budget for each. If you're paying part ex or trade price your quids in.
  11. It makes a mockery of the BBoC but I don't give a monkeys, it should be a decent fight. Both boxers have a stage and a good performance by either of them will get them back into the big league. Regardless of the views of the media and the BBoC this fight will probably help the division in the short and medium term.
  12. It's Dog who doesn't want to sit in a Skoda, ask him.
  13. Fat birds with skinny blokes who have grey skin. Litter on top and underneath the bin but not in it. Women servicing their own cars. Cars with bumpers made of duck tape, usually a silver mondeo. Shopping trolleys in front gardens. People who don't work with the latest iPhone.
  14. Then in theory so could any other small car in the vag group? If that's right then dog could get similar performance but avoid having to sit in a skoda.
  15. BMW diesels look to be about the best. If not a 1 series what about a 3? I would speak to Nigel at Angel tuning. He remaps diesels all day long. He'll know whats good out of the box, and what can be transformed for a few hundred quid. My money would go on aby BMW or Vw/ Audi. The engines have plenty in reserve so can be made bloody quick. The 123d is a monster though and you'll struggle to get a better performance diesel.

I agree that he was great for us but the man is an idiot. I've had the misfortune to meet him socially a couple of times and he was so arrogant it's untrue. Me and a few mates then had words with him and a few of his mates in Junnes when he decided he didn't want to wait for food and demanded ours when it arrived on the trolley. He's a complete pr!ck and seems to be behaving as badly on the field as he behaves off it.
  20. Try richer sounds. Loads of 37,40 and 42's under £400. Personally I wouldn't pay the extra for web tv. I saved the cash and bought a blu ray with the web features in that. Overall cost was the same but I got a blu ray. This one is a bargain if you have room for a 42. They have it in a 37 but for the same price! http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-led-tvs/lg/42lk450u/lg-42lk450

If you are friendly with a gp ask them what they think. It's the washed teddy (or blanket) thing thOugh that I cant comprehend. Why wash something that is ingrained with the smell and sweat of your missing daughter?
  22. Ignore him, keep feeding the lawyers
  23. He's a good player and his heart is in it. Many people judge a player by his work rate. If that was the correct way then chicken George was twice the player mlt was. Guly has played within himself whilst with us and consequently looks lazy and disinterested at times. In contrast chaplow runs around like a blue arsed fly but he's an inferior footballer. I'm sure Guly will excel in the prem.
  24. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt . Not all players can adapt or take an eternity (eg walcott) but I think that there is a bloody good player in Fox. The increased challenge of the prem may be all that he needs. Either way I'd hate to lose him.
  25. He frustrates me. He has improved but seems to play within himself so definitely more to come. His positional play leaves a lot to be desired and he doesn't overlap enough. With coaching the faults could be ironed out and I think he could become a very good player.
