Nonsense. You can't judge a persons motivations, ambitions, ethos, rationale, etc etc without knowing or understanding them. MLT doesn't know cortese. I don't, you don't and nor do others on here. We all make snap judgements though. They're all based on the decisions that we know of, and the tittle tattle we here. MLT is no better placed to make an accurate assessment than me or you.

It's a decent little contract too and gave him a massive payrise on his initial contract. It was also an incremental contract which put his weekly wage up by a lot after 10 appearances, then 20 etc. He was given the contract, then the games, so is/was rated.

He's a player who until a couple of years ago was playing part time in the Conference South. In his first year as a pro he looked half decent in the championship. We then got promoted and as a novice he found himself a player on the books a Premier League but himself not yet ready to be a Premier league player. The decision to loan him out to get games at championsip level was a good one. If he got the time he may have shown enough improvement to add something to our squad, or alternatively improved in value and moved on. As it was he hasn't got the games which is a shame. To judge him based on his age alone is wrong. He's an inexperienced pro and still only 23. For me I think he has a future as a decent championship player, and with games could possibly make the grade at the top level.

That's the other lad I was thinking of. league 1 loans seem to be the progression from u21 games so the likes of Seager move up to the u21 team giving another lad a chance in the u18. The academy and development system is so good that I'm sure that no loan move would be sanctioned without looking at the impact down the chain.
