Don't know, only heard a bit on way to the gym. He was all over the place, saying that they had 1.4mil in the bank but that didn't want to over spend and see the club back in the sh!t.

I heard it, was brilliant. He came across as a complete tool.

It is. Last winter my daughter woke me up about three am saying that something was in her room, that her radiator had fallen off her wall and the room was really hot. When I went in the rad brackets had come clean off the wall and the rad was lying at the end of her bed. Weirder still the heating was on, despite the timer not due to kick in until about six. Scared the life out of us.

Cheers sfc chris, good to hear.

You ever met a glaswegian?

Hopefully he will also lose two stone and gain three yards of pace.

I've owned I phone and android and prefer android. Personal choice, not a cost issue. For me I phone is more style over substance. I agree 100% about sim free. Sensible choice is a phone of choice and whack in a giff gaff sim.

Makes sense to give Dean a chance, probably alongside Martin. I wonder whether we may see another couple of youngsters. Seems little point in playing Dickson if he is on his way, so maybe a debut for Reeves.
-
Disagree. The club have made it clear that they will only sign players who will better the team. That has happened with the signings of cork and fox. They have come in and pushed chaplow and dickson, both recent signings, down the order and in dickson case probably out the door. Adkins also dumped mills in spectacular fashion which given the history between them was surprising. Personally I don't think any player is safe if somebody better becomes available.

He did well for us but to describe him as having been "great" is ott. He played a dull brand of football and tactically was one dimensional. His dismissal was a surprise but has benefited both he and the club.

Don't want to go off subject, but which 2.3.4 ROM do you use? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk

Agreed. I've owned I phones and android. I would never go back to an I phone, which are very cool but not as good. Android contracts are also cheaper too. Samsung Galaxy s2 is excellent, as is the latest htc desire. The wildfire isn't great, poor screen and processor. One option is the zte blade, which is sold as orange San Francisco. It's a payg phone but can be unlocked for nothing, and easily debranded and upgraded. See modaco.com where you will get loads of info on that and any other phone. Not sure about contracts, just shop around. I'm on t mobile paying 25 pm for what Jeff pays 10 for on giff gaff. Poor coverage imo. Giff gaff is brilliant, my wife and daughter are on it. brilliant coverage and dirt cheap. If you can get a good phone sim free it's the cheapest way to run a phone. Personally I would go for the San Fran and whack in a giff gaff sim. No commitment so if you don't like it you can ebay it for not much less than you paid for it and get something else.

St James was bought by Nick Hannides, a solicitor from Shirley. Quality has gone down big time since he took over.

Looks like that. Very interesting, the kid is a hell of a talent.

I did read the article. It wasn't enlightening. Please see #745. You mentioned football violence in the same context as riots (on a riot thread) so I took it that you were somehow linking the two distinct issues. You were also questioning the mindset etc of football thugs as against rioters. There is a world of difference between football violence and this kind of rioting, and imo a world of difference in the mindset of those involved.
-
Football violence has no link to this. Smashing up opposing fans has no resemblance, whether ideologically or otherwise, to smashing up your community and random businesses. Terrible analogy.
-
Nothing particularly revealing. In a nutshell says that they know they can loot, that they get a buzz from it and can get stuf that they want. The big issue is how we stop this now and prevent a repeat. The possible reasons why this is happening do not assist. This is a law and order issue that needs tough handling, not namby pamby criminology assessment.

^^^^^^^ Yep. Once they see a few of their mates being dealt with they will soon calm down. Until then and/or the likes of tear gas etc are used they have no deterrent.
-
Err, this is a riot thread. Can you two please do your flirting somewhere else. Thanks

No, I understand your point. I just don't understand how it would help. To suggest that kids would start to behave if moved to better housing is unrealistic imo and does not address the actual issues. We will have to agree to differ.
-
But I don't see how moving parents from old social housing to new social housing would make the kids better behaved. Improved housing will not make the parents, police or school better equipped to control feral youths. No disrespect mate, but your argument makes no sense to me.
