Loaning out loans is a very strange idea, though I guess as Tottenham's loan has an option to buy, a loan here would effectively be an extended trial for the player.

I think Johnson is on 40k a week or some such at Fulham, a championship club would have to be mental to sign him. Besides, he's the sort of player who will attract the attentions of lower PL sides, probably end up at QPR or Blackburn or something.

I disagree, if you consider how bad he was when he had a chance with Sheffield United (at the time a better team than the one he was leaving), Billy Sharp has only really proven himself to be comfortable as a big fish in a small pond.

Speaking of SPL strikers, what about Kris Boyd? Terminated his contract with the Turkish side he signed for as they did not pay him so he would be a free agent. Didn't fare to well at Boro, but scored 6 in 10 on loan at Forest last season.

I doubt we'll be selling anyone but the fringe players like Dickson, Holmes etc.
