  1. Looks like he is angling for Saints or maybe any other potential suitor to offer him silly money. No way is he staying at Doncaster now he's come out with that.
  2. I don't know why anybody trusts The Mirror for transfer rumours
  3. This is the guy paying for it all http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vichai_Raksriaksorn Considering he has a £110m fortune, how much money would he really be willing to spend trying to buy his way out of this league and staying afloat in the Prem? No matter what the result, it could all turn sour for them as the owner doesn't appear to be doing anything to help the club become self sufficient.
  4. If Portsmouth are really about to be saved by a consortium of South African millionaires, why did Chainrai see it necessary to claim the ground in lieu of payment? Surely, if he just waits until Monday (a "massive day" according to ol' honest pete) these mystery South Africans will come in with all the money necessary to pay Chainrai back.
  5. they have 7 days
  6. Don't tell me the FA are going to bail them out
  7. The Times bloke must be watching SSN on a delay.
  8. where does it say that?
  9. Notts County also managed to present evidence of legitimate negotiations with possible investors IIRC.
  10. According to Wikipedia (not always reliable, I know) on Saturday Fernandes was due to sign on loan for Inter but failed a medical, so they could be signing an unfit player. edit, here is a link to a story about it: http://goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/01/31/1769659/valencia-confirm-manuel-fernandes-inter-move-is-off
  11. Yeah, but they're not signing anyone good enough to keep them up IMO.
  12. A player like him would be a great signing, but I doubt he would want to play in L1
  13. Will the good doctor be at this fans forum?
  14. http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=47072 If you look at Therry Racon's stats for last season, it would appear he couldn't get into the team until AP left and the season before that AP sent him on loan to Brighton. Doesn't seem like Pardew really rated him.
  15. £5 million for Christensen? That's a lot of money for someone who has never played a game for Charlton.
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J16f1Z4-IDU What Pompey fans can look forward to from their loan superstar Frederic Piquionne
  17. I thought Lallana was an attacking midfielder, I don't know why he isn't played there. Maybe he will get a go in his best position when Mills recovers from his injury.
  18. Murty, Davis, Harding and Paterson were all excellent today. Schneiderlin was playing well until that dodgy pass, after which his confidence went. Unfortunately, after we scored Millwall bullied us in the midfield and pulled the goal back. IMO we're 4 or 5 players away from having a squad capable of climbing into the play offs. A CB, a CM and 2 or 3 strikers depending on what Saga decides to do.
  19. Not heard that one, but I think he has had a lot of injury problems since he left the MK Dons for Charlton.
  20. The way I read the Stern bit was that Palace simply offered him a contract and he now has to choose between us and them. It would be a shame if he left, but I wouldn't blame him as Palace are in the Championship. The big problem is that Rasiak definitely wants to go and I think we need to keep one of them in order to do well this season unless AP spends a bit of money as this will leave us needing three strikers considering Saga will be off too.
  21. Fortunately, that Daily Star article looks to have been written by someone who has been looking at the bookies odds and decided to draw conclusions. I would imagine if the Daily Star had any concrete knowledge, they wouldn't have to have padded the article out with stuff about Mark Wotte. It would be a huge mistake to install a failure (in management) like Adams. I think Gus Poyet would be a good shout, not much experience in the management position himself, but he did seem to be the brains of the operation when he was with Wise a
  22. Tony Adams would be a massive mistake, reminds me a lot of Bryan Robson in that he's a clueless manager who will keep getting jobs solely because he was a good player.

  24. It seems like TL is fighting a battle he won't win, even though the points he argues are perfectly valid because the FL seems to be under the impression, and rightly so, that Pinnacle are running out of time. Eventually, they know Pinnacle will either back down and take their lumps, or Fry will sell to someone who is willing to live with their ridiculous rules.
