  1. Oh come on, I was not really being serious, surely you could see that ! As for being positive, read around I am positive but there many who are not at the moment.
  2. I think WHU could do the same. After all when they let Forest win it was because they thought that they might get relegated, but now they think they will be ok so maybe they should be let in the Cup again. Our case is a bit more complicated, we had to be careful not to qualify for Europe but if we finish 8th we could be OK. The Cup could have complicted our strategy.
  3. Clearly you have not learn't how to match irony with irony yet. Stick to slapstick !
  4. Clearly I do not go for that word irony, I mean to say, should we go defensive for the point or go all out attack for the win.
  5. To be fair, Manure are over the 40 point mark and we are not so they should be safe and we are not !
  6. Definitely. I'm up for it ! This could be a defining point in our season.
  7. Talking of Wham, what about their exit in the Cup against Forest !!!
  8. Thank you for your time and attention to this important issue. I agree with the fact that there was a short lived ' strong reaction' amongst a small number of fans.
  9. 'Backlash' ? Yer avin' a laff ! A few whiners and wrist slitters wailing and bed wetting whilst the rest of the fans move on and get behind the team.
  10. I am genuinely unconcerned by our Cup exit. To me it is always about staying in the PL and everything else is a bonus. Time to concentrate on a storming finish to the league and building for next year ! A lot of people need to move on, they are in danger of becoming obsessed about a defeat early on in a Cup competition that does not mean that much nowadays.
  11. Well then, 43 points would be nice and safe, and from what you are saying perhaps on 39 points we should be more cautious. Now, you said it, not me !
  12. 1. I assume you can read. 2. I assume you have basic comprehension skills.
  13. I don't think we will get relegated, but I don't like to tempt fate. In other words, I will wait until we are over the 40 point line before I open the 'special' Tanglefoot. I know what you say makes sense, 'we are safe' etc but as I said, I will wait until we are over the 40 point mark.
  14. I reckon you could be right. Lets hope that we keep our manager and owner and we have a bit of stability over the summer.
  15. Fair enough, but the League is far more important than the Cup IMO. The win against Hull more important than the Cup game against Sunderland. BTW I remember the 70's and 80's and 90's and the glory days of the FA Cup. But, times have changed. A strong finish in the PL and a position of 7th or 8th is far more important nowadays than a Cup win, IMO.
  16. I reckon MP considered the bigger picture, whilst some people who are banging on about our cup exit can only see the smaller picture. In the long term, a strong league finish is all part of the longer term plan. The Cup would have been a bonus but not an integral part of the plan. Myself, I am happy that we are panning ahead.
  17. I really cannot believe some of the negative posts on here !! We are 8th, yes 8th in the Premiership !! We have everything to play for including a strong finish to the season driving us on to next year !!!! Some of the supporters here are acting like spoilt brats. We are out of the Cup, get over it and get behind the team ffs !
  18. Well said ! The pathetic whining from some supporters beggars belief ! We areas good as safe. We can play without fear. Pochettino can experiment a little bit and we can be building for next season. IMO we have a feast of football ahead of us and to coin a phrase 'we have never had it so good' !
  19. As long as we keep seeing off the weaker sides then we'll be ok. We can still pull off the odd shock result and maintain our premier status.
  20. Hmmm.....IMO Wham supporters are amongst the most arrogant in the league. They think they are a big club but they are only a tin pot outfit, marginally bigger than the Orient. I was hoping they would get relegated. Living beyond their means and due a stadium they do not deserve or never will fill. At least a win for us might help them to have an uncomfortable end to the season.
  21. I can feel the passion in your post and it is great to see. We all love our own club and follow them through thick and thin. I could never support another club so I can see where you are coming from. I am not arrogant to believe that our premier future is secure, of course not. Indeed, as other posters will tell you I am always looking over my shoulder at our points and only feel safe when we reach 40 plus points. Having supported Saints in the 80's and 90's I have seen to many close calls and relegation scraps to take top flight football for granted. It is for this reason I would not swap places with Sunderland at the moment. I am loving the league at the moment. It is a rare luxury supporting Saints to be 8th and 'safe' in February and I would like us to finish strongly and play without fear in the remaining games. Also, I believe we have to build for next season and i think we can do this now. So, for these reasons, no, I would not swap with your team. But, I understand where you are coming from and good luck for the rest of the season !
  22. A very good point. I hope we do not qualify for Europe as we are not ready yet. In that case 8th would be a great finish. Also, the good thing is that we can start building for next season NOW !
  23. Well said. CB Fry is just a 'spoiler'.He has his own agenda and very rarely considers others. Having said that I will not put him on my ignore list.
  24. Yes, so the league was more important than the Cup.
  25. It seems that way. I suspect the silent majority are looking forwards to the next match against football, knowing that the result against Sunderland is 'one of those things'.
