Not quite. If we lose a couple of games by 4 and Wigan won by the same we will be in it. Anyway, you better hope for a Baggies win and and a Rangers win. That will just about do it, but obviously a win or a draw will increase our chances of survival.

So, Villa will have nothing to play for against Wigan. Hope Arsenal get three points off them in that case. Still think we are far from safe, unless of course we beat Slumberland.

Hi. I am not going to make excuses for my perfectly valid points. The Wigan defeat against Swansea was a massive boost for our survival hopes. But, I don't think 39 points will be enough to keep us up. If I am wrong, then I will be happy to admit that.

The aim will be survival again so 17th will be OK. I am sure that we will also have a 'yoyo' strategy should the worst happen.
