We must win league games. Couldn't care less about European and Cup games. Also the business will be most concerned about league games as this is where the money is.

Very true. Also it makes sense business wise to finish mid table. The Europa League does not make the club money and making a profit is paramount in the mind of the Board.

But there is no money to be made from the Europa league and with our form in the PL form suffering the business needs to look after its bread and butter. A very rational business decision to play a weak team in Europe and the Cups.

Well, there you have it. I have being saying this from the beginning of the season. The Board did not invest enough fro a European campaign. There again, the Europa does not bring any money into the Club and SFC is a business. No, I think the decision has been made somewhere to exit Europe and the Cup and concentrate on staying in the PL. That's where the money is and if we can do it with the minimum of outlay I am sure the Board will be delighted. Trouble is, we are in danger of being dragged into a relegation dog fight !

Perhaps the Club know this and are ensuring that our European adventure is coming to an end.

Perhaps we want to get out of Europe and concentrate on the league.

I called this last season. Basically we are limited in our ambition to doing enough to stay in the PL. Do it on a budget and coin in the profits.

We should never have got in to Europa as we had no intention of being equipped for it.

I agree. The idea of there being three leagues is about right. other than the top 6 and Everton, who will never be relegated, all the rest of the clubs have to look over their shoulder every season. We have lost ground over the summer and we are in danger of slipping back in the third league.

We are 'mid' table at the moment. 10th would be a great final position. The real disappointment was not beating Hull.

People are very happy with the result today. But, they are making a valid comment about our general scoring ability this season.

In which case, IF it is true, it is important to sell to the RIGHT outfit asap. If not, then we could be in for a long and dull season. Having said that, if we stay clear of relegation it will still be OK.

We are missing Pelle and Mane, no doubt about it.
