Gaston has started 2 games. He was brilliant against Villa second half and scored and had our best other chance against Everton. Having him back would be massive, he's our best player IMO

true but having a Utd team with nothing to lose come at you for 30 mins solid is difficult for most teams. they have done it time and time again and will continue to do so.

If you look back, we weren't holding the ball up, were not offerin an attacking threat and were getting trampled on before those subs were made. We had decent little spell after our 2nd goal and then it was all Utd.

Which formation do we suit? Our 442 diamond from last season hasn't worked either. Also, there is logic in not always playing Lambert, he's a quality striker but his mobility is awful for this level and he has been handled quite comfortably by many defenders so far. If you want to see him sacked on the basis of what you have pointed out there, then it's quite sad really.

The most surprising thing about last night is that we lost 3-0 despite having Chaplows bite in the middle of the park. With a lot people claiming that he should be starting in CM to make us more solid, how did this happen?

We were in a crisis just over 3 years ago. Now we are a premier League losing more than we win like most newly promoted sides do. Enjoy the bed wetting though.

I haven't seen anything to suggest that the players have stopped playing for him. They came out 2nd half against spurs and gave it a real go, if they wanted NA out they wouldnt have even bothered trying. As for puzzling team selections, persistant injuries don't help. Other than dropping Lambert I haven't seen anything alarming re team selection. How many points did you expect us to have at this stage btw?

Both Fox and Shaw carrying injuries for west ham game....not sure he had much choice there and even then, just because a player is asked to do a different role, doesn't mean they should make basic errors. I'm not saying he's been faultless but does he really deserve the sack?

Do you not think his hand as been forced for many of the examples you give? Many of these decisions linked to not really having much choice through injury or through not getting defensive players he wanted in the summer. You can see for example that if he had a choice, Fox wouldn't play and would be dropped but he doesn't have much choice at the moment.

If Adkins has a run of winnable games with his best 11 available and we don't improve then I will start to think that maybe Adkins isn't good enough. To have already made your mind up that he isn't good is extremely harsh IMO.
