You've missed my point completely
-
Does it need to be drastic? How about getting our best players back fit and available, get some consistency at the back, get a clean sheet with a win which will boost the players confidence...
-
Should have put more down then, 340 sheets is peanuts!
-
The OP has just wasted a tenner.

Deffo Guly, he was using the spoon to eat his CoCo Pops
-
I heard that NC was ready to fire the person who took the spoon. Reed was trying to worm tongue him out of doing it but NC was adament that a head would have to roll. It turned out anyway that Guly had taken the spoon and as soon as NC found out he did an emabarrassing U-turn and pretended he was just joking all along. At the same time, he told Guly that he would be starting against Spurs at the weekend on the left in a 433 and that he should go back and tell Adkins. Don't shoot the messenger, just passing on what I've heard.
-
Unless he had the coaching staff and the players looking for it when they should be training, I couldn't give a monkeys. He can have Sibley looking for his spoon all he wants.
-
Probably just the circle you hang around with then. Most people I know who are not posters on here have no real opinion of Cortese either way. It's not blind following of him, but outside of this place his general profile is pretty low. 99% of saints would have no clue that Cortese had people looking for a special spoon yesterday unless they came onto this very fine mong board. Ultimately, I think people just want to turn up to football, support the team, hope for a win and go home again.

I'd like to understand what people mean when they say NA is clearly out of his depth and that we need top flight experience....what tangible difference do they expect to see? It just sounds like buzz words which sounds like good things to say but actually have little substance at all.
-
Good post but and agree with most of what you have written but it will fall on deaf ears to those who think they know better.

So if Adkins goes tomorrow and we have a new man in for Spurs and we get hammered 5-1... would this new manager have 7 more games to improve or be sacked as well? I know people have been talking a lot about Adkins subs (bit of a red herring imo) but what do you believe a new manager would achieve, bearing in mind that because of the clubs philosophy, they can't just come in and make us shut up shop and lump it to Lambert or change our way of playing dramatically at all.
-
Personally, the Saints fans I know who don't come on here are still pretty much none the wiser about the percieved issues within the club and are only concerned that we can't defend well enough. I think if we all took a step back and looked at us for what we are (a newly promoted club with tough fixtures and injuries to key players to contend with) then where we actually are in league wouldn't really be too much of a surprise. Obviously, when the club is struggling, everything becomes magnified but a few wins later, not as many people even on here would pay as much attention to all the Cortese, Reed and Adkins rumours.
-
Like worm tongue in lord of the rings?
-
Bit like Billy Sharp hey.
-
2 of those 4 promotions were Cortese's. NC is really manager and Guly his is assistant.
-
I'd never trust a man who thinks ruthless is spelt "roofless".
-
I've no doubt that NC can we a fussy knob. Managing the team whilst using Adkins as his puppet....come off it

If your going to keep banging on about REID, can you at least get it right? It's REED

30 million spent on players with no premiership experience! Who's responsible?
Dig Dig replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Same thread the OP started a week or so ago but with a different title. Why do posters feel the need to start threads just to give their opinions on subjects which have multiple threads anyway? Are their opinions so important that they can't possibly be swollowed up and lost in other threads like everyone elses? -
Yea you were right from day 1 regarding Adkins, we should never have hired him, the players don't play for him and only ever rode Pardews crest of a wave
-
We were inviting pressure in both games before any subs were made. If Adkins had done nothing and we lost, we'd be criticising him for that instead. Regarding Jos, he doesn't have much choice at the moment but to play him. Adkins needs an oppotunity to play our strongest available 11 for a period of games.
-
That's an opinion and there is nothing tangible which suggests that either decision cost us the games. Overall the shape and tatics haven't been an issue IMO but look back at all the goals we have conceded, the majority are individual errors which are nothing to do with Adkins subs.
