or try Regedit- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control and modify the WaitToKillServiceTimeout Value (just take a 0 off and tweak from there) This made a difference for the ones that still took 3 or 4 minutes to shutdown
