  1. He's not bad at club level, just seems to be another player who completely freezes in competitive international games. We didn't see anything from him that we saw at Utd, or Villa. He's gots bags of talent, but looks incredibly nervous out there. Now Milner on the other hand...
  2. Big year for Adam next year, there's no doubt that he's incredibly talented, but he's never done it at the top level. Will be interesting to see how he gets the better of seasoned pro's, the only reservation I have against him at the highest level is his lack of pace. If he had pace, he wouldn't be here anymore. If he bags a few goals next year and causes all sorts of problems, then he will have to be considered for england in that 'troublesome' left sided role.
  3. They priced it just right last year, and there was stuff for the kids etc, and you got to see 2 top European teams. How they've justified the price increase this year is beyond me, bizarre. Playing against a team we'll play twice next season, and a team who will not really be able to field many players. I was looking to go to this...but £25 is insane. If we were up against teams like Napoli or Dortmand etc...then maybe you could justify it. It's also a very early pre-season game, players will be no where near fitness and there won't be much to shout about in that sense. £25 stays in my pocket for this one. They've got it all wrong.

    Miku?

Michu I think? Not sure much has happened on this one, lots of rumours last week, but seems other Spanish clubs are keen.
  5. Excellent. Maybe a good opportunity for that picture again?
  6. Is it just me who find these attendance debates absolutely mind-numbingly boring? I thought this thread was a positive insight into the clubs future plans. Not sure why it's turned into a turgid debate revolving around the same individuals. Maybe the mods should make an attendance forum?
  7. The players were too far away from him, Rooney was nowhere near his flick ons. That's where the problem lies. He was much more effective than wonderboy Rooney.
  8. Carroll was excellent when he came on and held the ball up, which Rooney couldn't do for toffee. Andy is the future, and is an international class player. Lambert is our legend, but he isn't an international class player. Always predictable to see these sort of posts, or ''We could beat them''. No we couldn't, even on that showing they would beat us 9.9times out of 10. All this lower league winning seems to have gone to some peoples heads! The gulf is huge...
  9. To be honest, R1 have bigged this up as their biggest ever event...but It just seems like another identical ''big weekend'' to me. Not sure what's any different about it.
  10. http://www.sabotagetimes.com/football-sport/why-manchester-united-target-michu-is-perfect-for-the-premier-league/
  11. He's exactly the sort of midfielder we need. All our current ones are too similar, would be nice to have a central midfielder who is a regular goal threat.
  12. Michu was tracked by Man Utd 6 months ago, would be an insane signing if it happens.
  13. That's a silly thing to say really. Messi was picked up at 7 or 8. So was Bale ward-prowse has been with us since he was 10. The younger they are the better chance they have, if they're within a pro setup.
  14. I can't remember to be honest, but I know one of the previous issues were the problems with segregation due to the design and build of the ground - and that the Northam end was the only suitable place at that point, but if there is another place they could stick it, it would surely be a corner...and the Itchen/Chapel corner? Right at the front of the stadium, no issues with the away fans having to walk right around the stadium amongst all the other fans, etc etc...easy access to whatever they'll do with the waterside. And with the megastore already there, I guess it's already 'built' in a way that it's segregated from the other concourses. And from a total business head....what about making the home fans walk through the mega store to get to their seat in the Chapel each game....? bit cheeky tbh, but could happen.
  15. Would make sense tbh, it looks as if that 'link' between the building and the Chapel is for our fans, with the turnstiles 'above' so they don't mingle with the away fans underneath...possibly. Then you'd have an all saints northam end, with an extra tier. Would create a mini-kop end.
  16. congrats mate!
  17. Or where the away fans will enter, as that can then be turned into an independent concourse. They've always wanted to shift the away fans tbf.
  18. At the end of the day it depends, if we're bobbing around in the bottom half of the PL, then yeah, I'd have to agree with that. But if in the future we were up there challenging for European places then I think we'd have a fair demand, because at the end of the day clubs do have a lot of fair weather fans if we're honest.
  19. Not sure...
  20. I would recommend a set of Sennheiser ones, I've got some myself - swear by them. Great range (can walk around the house with them and into the garden). Can connect it to hi-fi or to a standard PC. Great quality, noise reduction and very comfortable. I've had mine for a few years so I don't think my model is out there anymore, but I'd imagine any of their new stuff is even better.
  21. To sum it up, the ball was over the line. The goal wasn't given. The player was off side anyway. If that goal was given, it wouldn't have changed anything based on the other results. We'd have still won the group on 5pts and the Ukraine would have still finished 3rd. The goal we weren't given against Germany was much more pivotal because it would have equalized the scores and it would have changed the game, which as a one-off knock out match. That was clearly over the line. Swings and roundabouts and all that. It all evens it's self out in time.
  22. To be fair to him, after that shocker he had against us he was terrific for Watford for the remainder of the season. He's not a bad keeper at all and a good signing for Brighton.
  23. Hope he gets going at that level, was never going to make it with us if we're honest.
  24. It's been sent out to thousands of regular fans though, so I doubt that's the primary motivation. I'd say it's more along the lines of the club building on the feel good factor and communicating their plans for the future with the fans. That's how I see it anyway. I'm pretty sure they have lots of corporate spin which we never see.
