  1. I'm a little down, mainly because Reading drew and gave us a really decent route back to the top - and we didn't take it. I wanted to see us win the league this year so bad, and we've been top most of the year which makes it even more frustrating. Anyway, 2nd is 2nd - same prize at the end of the day and it will still cap off an awsome season. After winning 2-0 away at Hull though I didn't envisage us making it this difficult for ourselves!
  2. I'd imagine we'll hear very little of him. On my way home last night I took a quick look at this forum on my mobile, and I was not surprised to see 'Alpine' as the last reply to a fair few of them. The guy gets off on our failure and I don't get it as I don't actually think he's a ''troll''.
  3. I'd have to say throwing away that cushion has been ****, but I don't even think we'll have to play in top gear to beat them. They have just been beaten at home by Doncaster ffs! and they have the worst away record in the football league. they are dross, as the table says. If we lose to them then we have serious problems, and I don't think we do. We're good enough to finish the job on an amazing season.
  4. I always felt it would go to the last day, but as long as it was in our hands I'd be pretty comfortable about it - and it is, by 2 points if WHU win. Have faith in the lads. They will know what they need to do next weekend as I fully expect WHU to win tomorrow. To be honest, we couldn't have asked for it much better could we? At home to a relegated team who will more than likley be blooding youth players and preparing for next year. They'll probably put up a bit of a fight but if we're anywhere near our game then this will be comfortable. Don't panic.
  5. I've got a grip and I'm focused on the bigger picture, rather than the last few weeks. As if we get it sorted on Saturday then the bigger picture is that this team has got us to the premier league. They have all been superb this year to get us to the position we are in. Criticism is fine, but getting ''sick'' of players that have contributed to our rise through the leagues is moronic.
  6. It was an awful bit of refereeing, and it changed the game. We were playing well up until that point (albeit not rally testing the keeper) and then the ref' goes and pulls a clanger like that. It totally deflated us, and boosted boro noticeably. Unfortunately we lost Chaplow soon after too, so that was the game gone.
  7. ''Given Saints home form'' - what, the best form in the league? Yeah. that's it. We'll be fine by the way.
  8. Yeah, I'm sick of them to. In fact I'm sick of this entire team for getting us on the brink of back to back promotions. Sack the lot of them.
  9. This will be a huge party, and the below-par results of the last few weeks will all be forgotten.
  10. Fonte has really lost his form in the last few months. He's not turned into a bad player overnight that's for sure. He seems to have lost some of his strengeth and is getting turned way too easily, which is then causing him to give away stupid fouls like today. I'm not surpised to see the usual drama queens saying ''Get him out of the club'', but let's get a grip. He is on a bad patch of form, but luckily it shouldn't cost us. He'll play in the premier league next season, but CB is still an area we need more depth.
  11. I'm here! - Just got back myself, what a long trek that was. So frustrated today, after getting there and hearing the Reading result I really believed we'd be playing for the league on the last day....obviously not then. We couldn't have asked for a better start to be honest, but I felt we didn't kick on from that, we didn't exert ourselves in our normal way and slowly we let Boro creep back into the game and they then got a pretty firm foothold, and we were chasing them around for the rest of the 1st half. They deserved that equalizer at the death for sure. We started the 2nd half really well, right out of the blocks, but we failed to make any clear cut chances apart from Sharp blazing over. After the incident with the free kick (and their player was the last man tbf) it seemed to knock us back and we lost any foothold we'd regained, and then losing chaplow just destroyed our shape and we were never in the game after that. Boro looked a useful outfit, but If we were really on our game and were professional about our jobs we'd be back here in the premier league. Luckily we have another chance, we can sit back and watch the WHU game, but no point in getting too downhearted if they win. We have a relegated Coventry city at home, where we need just 1 win to get into the premier league. I always felt we'd take it to the last day - and we have. I'm still pretty confident we do it, but it'll be tinged with disappointment as I feel the last few weeks we've let the title slip out of our hands when it should really be ours. Never mind, can't wait for next week now.
  12. I just feel relaxed about this too. I think we'll have too much for Boro tomorrow, we will want this more than them IMO.
  13. Ah ok. I don't think the range on their device is particularly good if I'm honest, and I experienced lots of wireless drop outs with mine, which was my main bug bear. (not sure if you've found that?). It might work better for you! but I'm a bit of a speed freak so I have my main access point upstairs and a repeater downstairs which knocks out my dead spots and gives me full signal up to the top of the garden.
  14. When I joined virgin they included the Superhub which was the wireless router and modem all in one box. I still have it on my network, but it operates in bridge mode so is just my modem - rather than providing any wireless or routing services. I bought an additional Netgear wireless N access point which gives me really good coverage around the house. I know Virgin used to offer a wireless router and a modem as 2 separate devices, I'm not sure if that's what you have.
  15. We will also play a relegated side at home with the worst away record in the football league.
  16. traveling from soton, going up with 3 other mates. Driving there, and back.
  17. Sorted my tickets and travel now, buzzing for this one.
  18. If they've given you one of those Superhubs, the wireless built into that is simply horrific. I gave up with it in the end and bought my own Wireless router and set the 'superhub' in bridged mode (so it just runs as a cable modem, nothing else). You'd probably get a decent improvement by doing the same!
  19. I'm confident that we already have a very ambitious list of transfer targets that we'd have tried for no matter what happend. It's going to be an exciting summer where we're linked with all sorts of big names, but let's not forget that our transfer policy so far has been fautless. We know what we're doing, big names or no big names.
  20. Yes! The playoffs are fantastic as long as you're not in them.
  21. ah ok, that can go to Moose then. I wonder what that makes his beloved Posh team, if we still thump them but Lambert doesn't score. Boy they must be dross.
  22. What a muppet he is. So bitter, but face the facts mr Durham, your team have not been consistent enough over the course of the season. You slipped out of the top 2 when the pressure told. Ourselves and Reading stuck to our guns and remained consistent, therefore we're the better teams. You can spend all the money on big stars, but nothing can beat a team - which is what ourselves and Reading have. Deservedly promoted, WHU will deservedly fail.
  23. Nope! Because if we win this we have a huge chance to win the league on the last day.
  24. Greg Halford and Ward? Seriously? They're bog standard average championship players, no more no less.
