I reckon if we were naive and got it down to play, we'd have constantly been harried off the ball, passes would have been under hit and our retention would have been pretty poor. On pitches like that, and against teams like that, you need to roll your sleeves up and go about winning the game to the conditions. We're fortunate to have more than one string to our bow and having a player like Lambert to hit up top is such a big plus for any team. This was a terrific professional away win, that was masterminded by us playing the conditions.

All this thread needs now is another twist. How about Mitchell leaving Bournemouth after his little rant, and putting together a dodgy consortium to buy portsmouth? Stranger things have happened. Perfect bloke for them too.

I think it's embarrassing, even more so when it's just the tiniest little group of them. Such a small time pathetic little club. No more than lower, lower league. On their way down hopefully.

Gone are the days we struggle at places with a **** pitch. We juts adapt and trounce the opposition now. We have so many strings to our bow it's great to see. We can pass teams off the pitch if we need to, but we can also mix it up and play a strong and physical game if required. This is probably the fittest and strongest team we've had in a long time.
