  1. Quite relaxed and excited actually. I'm never nervous about us going into these games.
  2. welcome back tdd I'd give it 5mins.
  3. Bit harsh on Pardew there I think. He had the foresight to go and purchase him for £1m and got the best out of him that season. An astonishing amount of goals (almost 40 in all comps) and 26 assists too. He was way more than a goal scorer that year, and you could argue that Pardew used him to the maximum of his ability. He's much more technical these days though, as we now use him in a slightly different role - but he's still just as good.
  4. lol. WHU really aren't anything special, not sure what their fans think they are half the time. They're a nothing club really, just another medium sized London club that has had some famous players play for them in the past. Excellent.
  5. Surely they'll be docked more than 10 points? Bournemouth were hit with a 17pt deduction because it was their 2nd administration.
  6. Lambert I'd guess. Link? would be interesting to read.
  7. He's just a terrific all round football player. You can tell why he started out as an AMC, as his touch and eye for a pass is sublime. But he has also come on leaps and bounds since he joined us, and IMO he's now easily a premier league quality centre forward. Have a look at some of the dross that's managed to score at that level, and then see the quality and technique of Lambert - he should have fun in that league. Alot of comparisons are made between him and Grant Holt, which is fair in some ways, but I think Lambo is so much more superior in every area of his game. We're lucky to have him, he's a very special centre forward.
  8. It doesn't make me chuckle, it does my flaming head in! We're 2-0 up on 75mins and we're retaining the ball, yet people around me are shouting all sorts of expletives because we're not doing ''hit and rush'' football. I have no idea what our fans want half the time, truly bizarre creatures some of them.
  9. ''They don't play much football'' what an oddly inaccurate comment. Other than that, a good review. Guly is never half as bad as fans make out on here, even when he has a bad game, but to be honest we seem to be looking for some sort of scapegoat for some reason.
  10. Richardson had his best game for months. What were yo watching? bizarre comments on this thread. No one had a poor performance, it was back to being a good team performance.
  11. We had the chance to sign Christian Eriksson?
  12. I think Suarez is a tool. Look at his reactions in the last world cup for e.g.
  13. The skates lead Blackpool
  14. That was more like it. We didn't play too badly against Cardiff, but this was a much more solid professional showing. I thought we had a nice zip about us, and the movement up top was excellent. It was a great home debut for Sharp and he looks exactly the sort of striker we've been crying out for, some of his runs were fantastic. Lambo put in your typical all round centre forward display, he's so technically gifted and isn't just the big burly striker. He's got great technique too. I thought the star of the show was Lallana though, back to his best and dictating the attacking tempo of the team. He was constnatly involved and making clever little runs into space - a very clever player. I thought another big positive was the performance of the full backs. I've been critical of them in recent weeks, but I thought they were both excellent today - especially Richardson who was back to his best, summed up by that fantastic cross for Lallana's goal. If they're both back into the grove it's such a great attacking outlet for us as their delivery is class. We've beaten and nullified a very good team today though, IMO. A massive 3 points and it's now time to get back on top on Tuesday night. Bring it on.
  15. Good team. Looks like we're starting out with a diamond formation. Morgan sitting, Cork left side, Guly Right side, Lallana in the hole. Or it could easily be Guly in the hole, and Lallana alongisde Cork.
  16. Personally I don't think we massively benefited from our games in hand last year. So much was made of them ''oh we can go second if we win our games in hand'' - but didn't we actually loose 2 of them, against Rochdale and Wallsall? I believe the only one we won was against Plymouth. At the end of day I prefer the games to be played when they are supposed to be played.....I think it hinders teams when you have a backlog of games in hand.
  17. What a silly thread.
  18. Probably tabloid rubbish, doesn't fit our transfer policy what so ever. Sounds like somewhat of a panic signing if true.
  19. I would agree with all of that.
  20. Some of our fans need to realise what a great job he's doing too.
  21. I think more and more teams are implementing successful game plans against us, which not only nullify our strengths worryingly easily, but also attack our weaknesses with great results for them. We need to have a bit more variation and I have to say the return of Puncheon has given that extra variation from the middle of the park - and even the runs of Lee give us something slightly different. When we had the 3 CM's together we were way too predicable and were food and drink for oppo managers. You've always got to carry on evolving and we'd never carry on winning as we were. All teams have to do now is get close, tight, don't let us pass from the back, close down our fall backs quickly. - then most of our penetration is gone.
  22. Yeh - didn't mean everyone on here, was directing that at the OP really. Just beggars belief sometimes. A few bad results and all must change, right away!!!!!!!
  23. To be honest Fox has got progressively worse in every game i've seen him. Started decent but has just got worse and worse and worse. IMO he's not worth anywhere near the 1.8m we paid. We over spent there for a change.
  24. The fact NA's replacement is even being debated about is utter moronic.
  25. Stuart Pearce? Christ god, please no. After seeing the toss he put together in the U21 championships last year I wouldn't want him anywhere near the senior side.
