  1. Richardson had his best game for months. What were yo watching? bizarre comments on this thread. No one had a poor performance, it was back to being a good team performance.
  2. We had the chance to sign Christian Eriksson?
  3. I think Suarez is a tool. Look at his reactions in the last world cup for e.g.
  4. The skates lead Blackpool
  5. That was more like it. We didn't play too badly against Cardiff, but this was a much more solid professional showing. I thought we had a nice zip about us, and the movement up top was excellent. It was a great home debut for Sharp and he looks exactly the sort of striker we've been crying out for, some of his runs were fantastic. Lambo put in your typical all round centre forward display, he's so technically gifted and isn't just the big burly striker. He's got great technique too. I thought the star of the show was Lallana though, back to his best and dictating the attacking tempo of the team. He was constnatly involved and making clever little runs into space - a very clever player. I thought another big positive was the performance of the full backs. I've been critical of them in recent weeks, but I thought they were both excellent today - especially Richardson who was back to his best, summed up by that fantastic cross for Lallana's goal. If they're both back into the grove it's such a great attacking outlet for us as their delivery is class. We've beaten and nullified a very good team today though, IMO. A massive 3 points and it's now time to get back on top on Tuesday night. Bring it on.
  6. Good team. Looks like we're starting out with a diamond formation. Morgan sitting, Cork left side, Guly Right side, Lallana in the hole. Or it could easily be Guly in the hole, and Lallana alongisde Cork.
  7. Personally I don't think we massively benefited from our games in hand last year. So much was made of them ''oh we can go second if we win our games in hand'' - but didn't we actually loose 2 of them, against Rochdale and Wallsall? I believe the only one we won was against Plymouth. At the end of day I prefer the games to be played when they are supposed to be played.....I think it hinders teams when you have a backlog of games in hand.
  8. What a silly thread.
  9. Probably tabloid rubbish, doesn't fit our transfer policy what so ever. Sounds like somewhat of a panic signing if true.
  10. I would agree with all of that.
  11. Some of our fans need to realise what a great job he's doing too.
  12. I think more and more teams are implementing successful game plans against us, which not only nullify our strengths worryingly easily, but also attack our weaknesses with great results for them. We need to have a bit more variation and I have to say the return of Puncheon has given that extra variation from the middle of the park - and even the runs of Lee give us something slightly different. When we had the 3 CM's together we were way too predicable and were food and drink for oppo managers. You've always got to carry on evolving and we'd never carry on winning as we were. All teams have to do now is get close, tight, don't let us pass from the back, close down our fall backs quickly. - then most of our penetration is gone.
  13. Yeh - didn't mean everyone on here, was directing that at the OP really. Just beggars belief sometimes. A few bad results and all must change, right away!!!!!!!
  14. To be honest Fox has got progressively worse in every game i've seen him. Started decent but has just got worse and worse and worse. IMO he's not worth anywhere near the 1.8m we paid. We over spent there for a change.
  15. The fact NA's replacement is even being debated about is utter moronic.
  16. Stuart Pearce? Christ god, please no. After seeing the toss he put together in the U21 championships last year I wouldn't want him anywhere near the senior side.
  17. The FA have shown themselves to be utter morons here, totally undermining the guy who actually manages the team. Did they even consult with him prior to removing Terry as captain? Probably not. Capellos outburst was fair, and I'm sure if this was a club and the chairman had made such a change the manager wouldn't have been too happy about it. This is opened the door for Redkanpp f'sure, seriously close to the Euros though. Not that I expected us to do anything in them this year.

Just watched his interview on Saints player. Jeez he looks so ****ed off and angry. Never ever seen him like that - he's always so calm and composed usually, but I guess after so long of the same old mistakes at the back he just gets ****ed off like the rest of us. It's up to the players once they step onto the pitch.
  19. The guy on the short highlight videos? Yeah, his voice is dubbed over the top of highlights - quite obvious really. I don't know if he's put in a darkened room so he doesn't know the results before he talks over them the next day, but it's all pretty amuatur it has to be said.

    Adkins

Looks to be the sort of guy that plays at the point of a diamond. Looks capable enough of playing anywhere along the front attacking line to be honest. Looking at the highlights he was the only guy that spotted Lees movement down the channels, and actually picked him up!
  21. He's certainly been shown up this year, that's for sure.
  22. Just looked myself and Martin had an absoloute mare for 2 of the goals if I'm honest. Beaten way too easy for both and needs to wake up a bit. He's come on leaps and bounds this year, but seems to be prone to lapses like that against trickier players. Richardson and Harding didn't do themselves any favours defensivley either looking at that. Reeves and De Ridder looked very lively though which is a positive.
  23. Ah yep - you're right. Just noticed the games played column. So Norwich would have been 2nd at that point then in real terms.
  24. Let's not look at it like that. You can't read into their past successes and past away results, we all know what this league is like. Anyone can be anyone at any given time. They've got to slip up away at some point. Burnley are a good side, but IMO....if we're on our game we will cause them plenty of issues.
  25. I think that table from last season is a little screwed. Shows QPR as having 56, then 2nd Forest with 49....then Norwich third, with more points - 51. Odd. (might just be me being an idiot though) In the grand scheme of things though we're about where you'd want to be at the half way stage of the season - now all we have to do is replicate our first half into the 2nd half of the season. If we do that automatic promotion is a given.
