  1. We have to win, simple as that. A gallant good performance but only a point or a defeat isn't good enough if we are serious about the top 2. Our home form is pretty poor to be honest, and it's always the way when a team ends a run - they then lose that intensity for a few weeks. Let's hope we get that back on Saturday. I don't think we're playing too badly, but we just don't seem to have that winning mentality about us anymore (win at all costs etc) and we're starting to look a bit brittle against the better teams in this league, and Burnley are one of the better sides. A win will be great and will get us back on the road, anything else and we will start slip sliding away from those top 2, and frighteningly 7th position comes into view and is only a few points back..
  2. Amazingly it was Bristol Rovers at home back in 2009 (just checked through our results over the last few years, very hard to find many defeats tbh). That's just stunning.
  3. I think he's proven that he's not. Some of the comments about NA tonight beggar belief. What a bunch of lunatics. We're on crap form which isn't anywhere near good enough for achiving anything other than mid-table nothingness, but our start has risen expectations beyond anything anyone thought was possible at the start of the year. That's now the issue. I don't belief we have a great, great team (a good team, yep - but not amazingly great) and I feel ''better'' squads are now catching up with us in terms of the league. I.e Birmingham, whu, cardiff etc. We'll have to do very very well to stay in the top 2, but it's still amazing we're even in contention. I think Adkins has done miracles this year to get us in this position in the first place, but this little slump has just knocked us all a little. I think more than anything the slogan ''together as one'' is now apparent.
  4. I'm confused as to what people mean by this. What slide did S****horpe have down the league? Weren't they always battling relegation and surviving against the odds? They've only totally dropped out of the equation since Adkins left.
  5. TBH they didn't even attack on Saturday, they sounded full of life tonight to be fair to them.
  6. Man Utd at home?
  7. Now that's typically over the top. Not sure why you want to be proven right so much, given that you being proven right would equal us performing so bad. Come on - just accept that he's a terrific manager and has done miracles with us. This is his first tricky situation.
  8. I don't think it was really a weak side though. The only changes I can see for Saturday is harding, Bart, Chappers and Lee out. And those 4 players are still more than good enough.
  9. But it's still a result that would given us a kick - we now go into a big game against Burnley on a downer, loosing a last min goal is a sickener for confidence. Looking forward to Saturday, but nervous as to how easy Millwall caused us problems against our first choice backline really. Can't really ignore our results at the mo, the cold hard fact is 2 wins out of 11 - tonight was a great chance to get a win on the board
  10. are you stupid or something? He kept us in that game before their winner.
  11. I just hope this result doesn't kill our confidence, because we had a nice little unbeaten run going. Big big game on Saturday against a much much better team than Milwall, and they caused us too many problems for my liking IMO - against pretty much our first team backline. Our results at the mo aren't good enough though if we're honest, 2 wins in 11 I think.
  12. oh dear me. our home form has gone to the ****
  13. oh the useless skate ****s, no good for anything what so ever. Just finish them off, pathetic.
  14. Yeah, fair points. I do agree that on the right is his position, he kind of made that his own.
  15. HT 1-1. Pretty **** first 25-30mins, then we came to life. If we keep that level up, we'll probably win it.
  16. Chaplow has sounded pretty anonymous tbf, going to take a while for him to get back into the form he showed before his injury.
  17. Bart tips over the bar.
  18. A pretty uneventful and crap 25 mins, then we equalized and we've come to life. Millwall have a free kick now though.
  19. Foul by Guly there, free kick millwall and yellow for Guly I think?

    No, it really isn't.
  21. We sound like we've now woken up!

He really is one of the best pundits around. Knows the game well, reads it well, is very honest and fair in his assessments towards us. People having a gripe against him are just being stupid. He was probably being critical about us up until the goal because we were playing ****. It seems to me that people cannot take anyone being critical against Southampton, even if it's fair!
  23. We always sound unplayable once we've scored a goal, the confidence just flows through the side. That's why we always win games when we first take the lead, we're a joy to watch when we're confident like that.
  24. De Ridder and his service letting himself down again there.
