Welcome back Chaplow....
-
Bristol City must be kicking themselves, it was actually £6m rising to 8m. Sven and his stupid spending policy
-
Yep, that would be our strongest for sure. I think Sharp will give us that extra attacking focal point we miss, too much focus is on Lambert and the space that opens up around him isn't being exploited by Connolly anymore. Sharp could have good fun.
-
Bristol City fans were saying the same when they came to SMS....! If this league teaches anyone anything, it's that no result is guaranteed. Anyone can beat anyone, home or away, top or bottom.
-
They should have focused on their midfield, with I think is toothless and doesn't provide their attack. Nolan is on his last legs and it now shows.
-
Zigic is out? Excellent (not that he's injured, hope he's fit soon....but they don't have much up top as it is)
-
cripes. How many years were those repayments based on...?
-
De Ridder has a bit of a tight hamstring, and Guly has a problem with his thigh - don't think we'll see him for a few games. Jos is out for another week according to NA.
-
Yep, exactly the team I would go with. This is the sort of game for Deano and Cork, not Morgan IMO. Adkins has a call to make on Punch, he's not quite fit yet and Saturday may come a bit too soon for him to start again - but we'll see. We do have options now though, you look at the bench and see players that can come on and making an impact. Refreshing. No disrespect to Holmes and Forte, but seeing them on the bench didn't inspire confidence what so ever.

I think the first half was pretty even, they had a fair % of the game and used the ball well through midfield - their goal was a foul before it was scored, IMO. Once we changed our shape I think we clicked. Lallana was magic in the hole, and made everything happen. Puncheon was floating from side to side and driving forward too. So up until we changed shape, it was pretty even. So credit to adkins for seeing that and making the change which changed the flow of the game.

I'm sure they said the same when they saw ''Sharp to Southampton''
-
Yeah Norwich do their business very well. Very shrewd. Same as us really.... He's gone back to Posh for the season though iirc.
-
squib even...
-
He gave a bit of his own back too which I enjoyed!
-
Only 1 pt clear of Cardiff afaik. WHU 53 - us - 51 - Cardiff 50
-
No, I think it's you that needs the rollyeyes.
-
They're forgetting the loan window which opens on Thursday.....
-
Connolly wasn't that bad, better than he has been in recent weeks. His touch was a bit off at times though.
-
Think we have to wait till the summer to get anyone from Scotland. It's only england that has the loan window open.
-
I'm all for opinions, but basing an extreme opinion like that (based on 30mins) is madness and does my head in. Saw more positive from him than negative today anyway. Lot more to come.
-
Yeah, Morgan had one of those ''hollywood'' games. Gave the ball away too much too. That was our problem in the first half, no rhythm in the middle of the park. That changed when Adkins employed the diamond and stuck Lalalna at the tip. Totally different team from there on in.
-
errr ok then. I don't get fans like you, no perspective on anything and everything is decided on snap points. I.e one game, one defeat, one performance. He was actually pretty lively. Get a grip.
-
Why can't you see Hammond playing again? The same thing will happen that has happened all season, the midfielders will rotate. Morgan and Hammond will play together, Cork and Hammond will play together etc. He's still a massive player for us.
-
Huge game, they are really on our coat tails now. Tearing up behind us at 100mph with no sign of slowing down. We can slow them down though. Was hoping for a win today tbh as I'm not sure we can stay top 2 with two points, but this is exactly the sort of game that we'll go and win. Shame that Jos is out for this though as Zigic is finally playing to his potential. Such a threat, needs a couple of players on him.

You have to wonder why they're signing strikers. Might be some mileage in the Hooper to Russia talk, and that window is still open for a month.
