To be honest that sort of thing happens everywhere. How many bust ups has Sir Alex had for example?? People will always have disagreements, especially when you're working together in such a high pressured environments 5 days a week. -

Absoloutley. All our home momentum that we built up is in danger of being chucked in the bin. Failure to win tonight and we're around 5 weeks since our last home win, pretty suprising seeing as we won 23 odd in a row! Always seems to happen like that though doesn't it....after a long run, it finally ends and then the ''intensity'' drops. Similar happened to Huddersfield, 45 odd games unbeaten, they lost and then lost their next 3 too. Crazy game is football, and it shows how important confidence and momentum is. Losing tonight will do us no favours going into Saturday. -

Why couldn't Millwall have turned up like this against WHU... -

Still a bit worrying how many times we're letting teams take the lead at St Mary's these days. Always giving ourselves more to do. -

There were always going to be changes, time for these lads to show that they're good enough to be starting. -

Strong team, if we're on it, we'll be fine tonight.

Cannot see Sharp playing, think the OS have got that wrong. The rule the FA impose is a fair one, as a team could take someone to a replay, sign 8 new players and then win the replay in totally distorted terms. It's only fair that the replay is contested with players that were available in the original tie. Even playing field and all that.

another year after this, believe it or not.

I have it really lucky at the moment, as my current commute is either by foot (10mins) or by car in a couple of mins if I'm feeling really lazy. Used to have to drive to Winchester every week, which is a nightmare to get to in the rush hour. After finding that parking was a complete lottery and a waste of effort, I used the park and ride - much easier. Used to work in skatesmouth too, 9am start in the dockyard - absolute dog of a journey and probably my most depressing job, probably just down to the location more than anything!!!

Made me laugh as well! The kid barley passes as a footballer, let alone a technically gifted one!

Jos is having a bit of fun with this on twitter.

All we had in Southampton was light drizzle for 7 hours.

They could have just put Jack Cork.....? The most random substitute banner I've ever seen.

I thought the same. He's going to get a bit of banter today re: that.

I wouldn't say he's made any vital contributions, and I don't think anyone is saying that, what we're saying is that he's come back into the fold and is proving alot of us wrong. He's made our midfield much more dynamic for a start, his ability to come off the flank, play through the middle and swap sides is making us less predictable - which we were when we had 3 central midfielders out there. He's changed and improved the team dynamic for me, he's not personally made any key contributions, but his presence has improved the balance of the side - and his attitude for me, has been top draw. Once he gets even fitter I think we're lucky to have a player like him for the run in. WHU and Blackpool wanted him as they felt he could add something extra to them.
-
IIRC you have always had something against him, even before he went off on his strop. So excuse me if I don't read too much into what you say.

In general our form in the last 6 weeks has been bottom half mid-table without a doubt, some of the performances have been awful in the last 6 weeks too. But what I am starting to see, and I'm sure a few others will agree, is a slow return to our form. When teams go on slumps it can take a while to get out of the 'rot' as such, and I think we found ourselves in one. It's always a slow process to get out of those, but going on little unbeaten runs help towards that. Performance wise we're on the up too. Bar Leicester which was a really odd display (hampered by a lack of options to be fair) we have been steadily improving, especially away from home. A good win against Forest, a good performance but frustrating draw at Milwall and two hard fought draws (which could, and probably should have been more) against 2 of our promotion rivals. We're getting back into the grove and I don't think it's any surprise when you see the players we've been able to welcome back into the fold. The fact that we're still in the top2 after our 6 week blip gives me enormous hope for the rest of the season.
-
Yep, that for me is an enormous positive. Cardiff are away at Leicester next weekend too.
-
Yep, great response from him after seeing him back in the team. I didn't ever see it happening, nor did I want it a few weeks ago, but I've felt he's exactly the sort of player we were missing - and I think we can all see the difference. He's dynamic, moves off the flank, swaps sides....and add that to Lallana doing the same we're now much more of a handful. He's also working his arse off to win the ball back which is great to see. As he showed with Millwall at this level he can be terrific - and hopefully he can carry that on with us
