Umm, I don't think anyone has said ''transfers HAVE to be made at the end of the month'. It's just that the more educated posters who understand how football works, realise that it's not a case of saying ''I want that player'' and getting him, especailly when you are looking for specifics in our case. to be honest, they're going the wrong way about it. Sharp is a decent player but I don't think he'll be a potent premiership player. They're filling their squad up with too many players on big money, who arguably won't be good enough for the league above. Good management. I much prefer the way we go about it if I'm honest...

Did he really score lots of goals? I can only remember 2 or 3......and he couldn't have multiple games, he struggled and was very leggy if he played too many games in a short space of time. I don't think it's out of order saying he'll probably be off the pace these days, because it's pretty plausible that he will be. This is a hard league, and this is a guy who's on his last legs and has just come out of a very serious knee injury. I would personally be very worried if we used him in any league games this year. I'm not ignoring what he did for us in the past because he was a solid L1 player, but I can't imagine him being able to hack the pace of this league.

But he's out of contract in the summer, and has refused a new deal. They'll either get nothing for him in the summer...or (if our interest is true) a couple of million + Puncheon, who is a similar player on his day. Reading aren't flush with cash so they'll probably be tempted.

He's spoken highly of us quite a lot this season. He's had a few columns in the press and on the BBC website full of praise. Nice to get some recognition.

Kebe is exactly what we could do with out wide. Pacey, strong, direct....perfect. On his day a top championship player, and a decent premiership player. Would be a shrewd move as he's still at a decent age, and for him it's probably a good move too as he wouldn't even have to move.
