  1. It's because they're technically fantastic players - and potentially the link up and skill between them could be fantastic to watch. It didn't come off as well as we'd hoped, but to be honest we had more of a threat with those 2 than we did in the 2nd half.
  2. they're being thumped.
  3. Has someone hacked your account or something? I can't believe half the drivel you're spouting at the mo.
  4. This is exactly it! We're having an amazing season, but our away form is pants!!! That's all people are trying to say. I still reckon we'll raise our game against the skates though, if we play anything like we can they won't be able to handle us.
  5. I don't think it's neccacarily complacency, more to do with the loss of key players such as Lambo and Chappers - and not having the likes of Conners to be able to call from the bench, or even start. I tell you what, I'd love to see us make a ''too good to refuse'' off to BC in January for Maynard and Adomah....that would set the tone... Davis Frazer - Fonte - Jos - Fox Adomah - Cork - Chappers - Lallana Maynard - Lambo Subs - Bart, Guly, Morgan, Dean, Martin... I'm probably dreaming, but that's close to a pretty much complete championship team...
  6. A good home season, but not really much fun away.
  7. Everything about that club screams lower league. Mong city.
  8. We won't win every home game Nick, no chance. And there's no glossing over that our away form is utter pants and I think we all have a right to expect more from that! We're in the position we are because of our home performances, which have been exceptional, but it would be nieve to think we can win all our home games. We won't, and games like today could come back to haunt us if we're still in and around the top 2 come May. I hope they don't, and I believe NA will sort it out and get our away results sorted - I reckon we'll get some stunning results away at WHU/Boro and the like.
  9. That was how we set up today. Morgan was playing just in behind Guly, Lallana on the left - de ridder on the right etc. From the commentary it sounded like it was a decent half, and we got in some good positions with those 2 moving it well between eachother - but listening to the view of those that have come back home, it doesn't sound like it did work! But it shows how limited in options we are, we really need a striker in January.
  10. That sentence on it's own says why we need another striker in January!
  11. That's not the way to do it. We play good football, and the last thing I want to see this team do is start hoofing and crossing from anywhere on the pitch. As long as we keep believing in the principles of passing, retaining the ball, then we'll have more wins than defeats by the end of the year. Reverting to the ''JUST HOOF IT'' cry's that I hear at most home games would be ridiculous and move us backwards.
  12. Agree with your post, although I don't think losing to Doncaster is verging on embarrassing! A little harsh on them I think. Still as others have said, you can still strive to improve and as Adkins even alluded to, our away results need to improve if we are to do anything this year.
  13. **** @ boro. crap day.
  14. I'm sure our season had collapsed when we lost to Walsall away last season. Look where we are now. Enough said. (although our away form does need to improve...)
  15. It does, until the gap slowly starts to reduce! We need favors from teams to keep that 8pt gap, otherwise it's down to 5.
  16. All these people suggesting Luaks Juke, or Jay Rod....I don't think they'll give us anything different. They're big target men...with a bit about them, but if we were to go for a striker I'd like it to be someone who can play on the shoulder, get in behind and be versatile enough to offer width and pace down the flanks if needed.
  17. ''Adkins must go'' ''Adkins has lost it'' ''Adkins is a lower league manager'' I assume these texts are skates on a windup, otherwise our fans are completely off their rockers.
  18. Right, let's hope for some favors from Bristol City and Birmingham. Otherwise the third and 4th placed teams start getting very close to us.
  19. I think he's passed it.
  20. I'm delighted mate, this season has exceeded my expectations without any doubt. We're in a stunning position. It's just that our away form is starting to cause a bit of concern. It's true that the only reason we're top is because of our home form, our away form has been questionable all year - bottom half I think. I don't think we can just ignore it and I'm sure Adkins isn't, it's a problem and needs to improve for the new year f'sure.
  21. We need some pace up front, without a doubt. Maynard for me, or Sordell....someone to stretch the opposition, because we just don't have that at all. Pace can get you out of jail in away games. De Ridder is an impact player for me, he just doesn't have the same effect from the start that he has when he comes off the bench. Very frustrating player as he promised a lot more than we're currently seeing!
  22. Possible a couple of games, although he's always been a quick healer so wouldn't rule out next week.
  23. and in typical saints fashion, 2 away wins!
