Totally agree with that, great post. People fail to realise sometimes that this team has been together for 2 years, and has been successful for 2 years winning lots of football matches. That's momentum that money can't buy.

Yep, on the verge of quitting apparently. He's not going on the pre-season trip with his players as he wants to stay behind to ''get things sorted''. Sounds like it's gone very sour there quite quickly. They are in serious need of players too, much more than us - they have a real need to panic!

It's still quite tricky to say, but based on the current strength of the division I'd expect to see us finish mid-table. (preferably top half, after having a little flirt with the play-offs) But I can see us in a really strong position for the season after. The clubs going **** or bust will either no longer be in this league, or will be ruined financially and a reduced threat.

TBF you will never get a full acadamy squad that makes it. There are plenty of players that Barcelona have tossed to one side, same can be said for Arsenal. Sometimes they come back to haunt you, but alot of the time they drift away down the leagues. I'd say that our success rate compared to other clubs is very high.

Unfortunately it's the price of success. You can't have a successful self sustained club giving it's supporterss bargains. Ask man city fans, Chelsea fans etc. The upgrades to the stadium and the playing staff need to be subsidised by increased revenue. You'd be a silly business person if you didn't plan to cover the costs, you'd end up running at a massive loss that just kept increasing. We have great facilities that cost a fair bit to maintain too.

I think the key word is if, we all know in our heart of hearts that he will miss fair chunks of the season with niggly injuries. He has done in his entire career and I can't see that changing, he's just prone to injuries and it's a real shame.
