  1. How weird, quite clearly not saints fans. Just along the ride at the moment I guess.
  2. Maynard with a 2nd makes it 2-1. Looks a handful, definitely one of the best strikers in the league - so alive inside that box. Will be an interesting one for Rickie given his Rovers connections..
  3. I'll ask again as this is quite clearly the most bizarre post I've ever read on here (and that takes some beating!!). Who is slagging him off?
  4. Sorry, but who the hell is slagging him off...........?
  5. I think with Cardiff it was psychological. They've been in strong positions for a few seasons at the start, then faltered away. I remember one in particular where at one point they had a 12 point lead at the top - yet they finished the season in 11th place. They did a similar kind of thing the season after...and last season. Our defense has improved steadily over the last few weeks, Jos has played a big part in that - and Fox is much more disciplined and aware of his defensive responsibilities. Granted, Brighton offered nothing in attack really, but they dealt with Macakil-Smith pretty well. I think the coaching team we have work so well together, they bounce idea's off each other and all seem to be signing off the same hym sheet. The work Wilkins does goes unnoticed by a few, but he is a fantastic coach IMO.
  6. He could do a job for sure, which is why we'll get premiership vultures hovering around in January I'm sure. Although to be honest I doubt there's any other place he'd rather be right now, apart from Mersyside.
  7. Stop trying to look for reasons to justify your opinion of Adkins! Which has now well and truly been blown out of the water. He's a good player, whenever he's been on the pitch he's looked dangerous and threatening. He's a terrific sub to have.

    Bale

We did, we settled early with Spurs as well as Arse. At least we got forecast though (!)!)!)

Unfortunately by taking Forecast and settling early we forfeited any potential % of sale clause.
  10. Rickie will never play for england. Let's not get carried away.
  11. I think if we sign anyone, it needs to be with a view to playing in the premiership obviously. I wouldn't be keen on signing an experienced premiership head, I'm more for going for a young, pacey championship striker, who has the ability to play in the premier league. Someone who is hungry and desperate to prove themselves. Sordell and Maynard string to mind as 2 young pacy players.
  12. He's such a **** ref. He'll be banished into the lower leagues before long.
  13. A very close first half. They didn't come here for anything other than a point and that showed. They put men behind the ball, had 2 banks of 4 and it was very hard to break down and penetrate them. In the 2nd half the goal came at the perfect time - us scoring then opened the game up and from that moment on we took totla control. Brighton can come out and say the ref won the game for us, but at the end of the day we'd have won that without the ref's intervention. If they want to win they need to play much better than that. Tactically in the first half they were ok, had a decent shape about them and made it hard work - but in terms of offering any sort of threat they were pants. One of the most toothless teams we've played all year. Anyway, that ones over with. The Hull game will be much tougher.
  14. Full house according to Jordan Sibley.
  15. He's had poor games this year, and he's had blinding games. But for some reason people are too quick to finish him off after a couple of bad games. He's a very effective player at this level and is a match winner on his day.
  16. And that is all that needs to be said! Good post and thanks for the update from the guy who was there. It's always the same characters picking posts like this to pieces, it's almost too predictable.
  17. No problem.
  18. If anything, this thread proves even more what a great job NA has done IMO. He turned us around so bloody quickly, probably from November onwards we were averaging 2pts per game. From our start that year you'd have never thought that was possible, so he's a genius in my eyes - and now look what he's doing with us this year. The guy is a bloody hero! He's not put a foot wrong since he's been here.
  19. Well that's what we certainly had..!
  20. I think it'll be over 30k, not sure if it'll be a total sell out though.
  21. He's a cracking player tbf. Def. premiership potential, and RB is an area I'd have a question mark over for the premiership - so good move if it happens.
  22. I have to agree re: the flag. How that's been handled is **** poor. The fans stonked up the cash, organized it to be built, we hand it over to the club and that's it. They ignore any queries about it and it hasn't been seen since. That's a load of **** tbh.
  23. Isn't he a CM? Chelsea would only let him go if he was going to get regular football. Doubt he'd be more than a sub here at the moment.
  24. Nope, it came across exactly the same to me... The approach came from Seagulls chairman Tony Bloom's brother Darren, who spoke to Cork's dad - former Wimbledon star Alan. "I had a quiet chat with Darren," Oh well, at least we got him!
