Don't think you can read too much into that. Lambo still played for Rovers on the Sat. fixture even though a transfer was imminent and went through on the Monday. You'll probably see the market open up in the next few weeks though, teams lowering the valuations as they know clubs aren't going to match them and the player(s) won't sign a new contract...so they need to cash in. One player in particular springs to mind.
-
He's a verified football agent afaik.
-
Good, that's why we still have Chambo. We don't get messed around now, and I'm pretty chuffed with that if I'm honest. Sometimes he may rub people up the wrong way, but I honestly believe he's learnt massively from his mistakes in his first season (everyone makes mistakes in their first job tbf) He's achieving exactly what he's set out to do. There are plenty of chairman that are all talk but not alot else, just be thankful that we have someone to backup the talk with real substance and finance.
-
He's at it again FFS! I'm not believing anymore he says after that Jamel debacle.
-
It's not photoshoped, it's the programme cover tomorrow.
-
Yes, exactly! There's a main chairmans message/notes feature, that's why he's there.
-
Jesus christ, calm down. Is it really that boring today that we all go slightly OTT about a single match-day programme front cover?!?!?!?! It's funny, just look at it that way. I couldn't really give a ****.
-
I'll take Forest.
-
Oh yes.
-
I think the reason he's on there is because for the first time since the new ownership, we have a ''Chairman's notes'' feature for a couple of pages. TBH I think it's quite funny, wouldn't be as bearable if we were struggling (rubs it in a bit) but it's pretty harmless, if a little egotistical.
-
I'm not kidding you! What's above is the front cover of the programme, but yeah, it's a bit too much! Although I think it's the first time since he's been in charge that we've had a 'chairmans'' notes feature.
-
Can't tell you that I'm afraid! (It is the cover...not a bad programme this year though tbf)
-
Not been quoted anywhere, but I've been told by someone who I trust and who's got their ear close to the ground. (not connected with our club, but within football and the media) Closer to the window you'll see lots of clubs drop valuations though, including us. So I hope we make the best out of this situation now...

I think he's speaking a load of rubbish personally. Cortese and the club value Puncheon at over £1m, that's why it's been incredibly hard to get clubs to take him on. He will only leave for less than that if for e.g it's a swap deal, i.e the Gorrks transfer. That guy is saying that Gorrks is staying and they're getting Puncheon for ''far less than £1m'' - there isn't a chance in hell. It's either £1m +, or 400/500k and Gorrks.
-
Yep, does seem a bit random. Doubt anything will come from it though.
-
Apparentley we've expressed an interest in signing him... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_7083029,00.html

You may be right. Jaidi hasn't featured much in pre-season, but maybe that's a way to prepare him for the leeds game? (We all know that he can't play too much, or train too hard these days)
-
Apparently it appeared on Jaidi's facebook page in response to the article about the collapse of the deal, this was the post from saint Armstrong who found it: (not seen it in my own eyes though) "Jaidi commented on that article on his Facebook Page: "The only thing I wanted to say that we c unprofessional ... We Tunisians players!" It doesn't make any sense to me tbh!
-
£2m?!?!?!?!!? Not worth over £1m imo...screams of a panic signing if it happens.
-
I've never really understood peoples gripes with Seaborne, he's really not that bad and christ we've had worse players than him in the last 4/5 years! He's still young for a CB and prone to the odd lapse every now and then, but with the coaching that should hopefully disappear from his game. Other than that I think he's got a bit of pace about him, pretty composed on the ball and is positionally pretty strong. It's just his distribution and lapses in concentration that can let him down, but I see no reason why he can't improve.
-
TBF I think they've kind of been replaced by these ''fan dinners'' or whatever they were. Where a group of fans get to go and meet Cortese and have a good old chat for an evening. You get some really good write ups from fans that go to that, probably tbf you get more out of that than can be crammed into 1hour on Solent.

Just after the news was sinking in about Lee Young-Chung being out for the season with a broken leg.....Tyrone Mears, their new signing from Burnley has also broken his leg in training... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14410555.stm

It's not really though a poor return though is it. Maybe the right players haven't become available? We don't need to buy for the sake of it, we are just looking for certain players to fill certain positions. Not many...just 1 or 2 more. Only Leicester have really signed massive amounts, most other clubs have signed 2 or 3 so far. Leeds have only signed 2 players IIRC Just be patent, at least we're not adding crap to the squad as we did in previous years at this level and the prem.

Sky Sports have just done a writeup on the champiopnship: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/0,25212,15231_7079850,00.html

According to the reports, we wouldn't pay anything for him. QPR will give him to us and 400k for Puncheon.
