Nothing wrong with a loan to be honest, esp. with an option to buy. Jos was a great loan, so was chaplow for e.g. Sensible way going about it really, if you can find the right sort of players available for an initial loan.

I thought Adkins and Deanos interviews were outstanding, and as fans it's exactly the sort of drive and passion you want to hear when you're in a bad patch. We're still a close group and a 'team', we just need to pull together through our worst patch with these players (words from deano)

Well we'll get a clearer picture of our financial position at the end of this month. If we don't make any moves in the position we're in with the chance we have, then it'll start to possibly show that the financial backing is not quite as it was, or as we believed it was. But listening to Adkins on solent it sounded to me like we'll have a couple in before the forest game.

Sounds like a couple of additions are likely before the Forest game according to Adkins.

I think saying we've blown it is typically OTT from you, but we need to make sure we rescue it before it's too late. Luckily we're amazingly, some how, still top. We have a window now to add to the squad and plenty of games left. Our away form needs to improve though, it's a joke. I agree that it's a great chance, and what with football and how it plays we may never get a better chance. We haven't blown it yet, but we're not making it easier for ourselves that's for sure.

We're in a good position in terms of the history books, but Cardiff's fall away a few years ago says you cannot go by previous seasons at this stage. They were 11 or 12 points clear in December. they finished 12th.

I think his hands are tied by the lack of options. He turns around and has a bench with Forte on it, and a young kid in Reeves. We need some new additions before we can do anymore. It doesn't help that with the injuries and suspensions, players like Cork and Lallana are going through their bad patches.

Seriously mate, this is the worst spell of form we've had for a couple of years. It's not one game, it's a series of games, and 1 away win since august is not good enough - be honest. Our home form was always going to dip eventually and that's why our away form needed to pick up. Today was a perfect opportunity against a Brighton team featuring 4 youth team players and without 13 first team regulars. It should have been a no brainier result, but we've lost 3-0. Pretty embarrassing. We're top but by the skin of our teeth, it's still amazing we've managed to get ourselves there but the last thing myself and everyone else wants to see is the team throw all that hard-work away. This league is so weird, and football is random at the best of times, so we might never get a better chance to go up. Memories of Cardiff from a few years back.

I think questioning Adkins is pretty stupid and a bit of a knee-jerk, but he's got his work cut out this month to sort us out. We'll find out what he's made of at the end of this month anyway! He's done well to even get us into this position, and he's shown me enough since he's been here that he's got it in him to get us out of a slump. Our away form is my big worry though. I don't think we've ever been so bad away from home.

esp. when we have Guly Injured, sdr injured, barnard injured and Connolly still not 100% fit. I'm sure they're aware of it though and we'll see a new signing or two pretty quickly now.
