Well, we could spend £2m on a LB and CB.....or you can use a bit of nouse to get similar/better quality on Free's. Bailey is an excellent player, kind of similar to Gillett though in many aspects. I'd say one to look out for is Jordan Rhodes at Huddersfield...

No idea! I think it was only a 1 year deal and will probably be based more on appearances and achievements rather than a flat rate.

Not sure what you expect tbh. He's as good as we can attract now - and he's still v good imo.

He's not coming from the prem - was released by Birmingham last season, but actually played in 32 games of their promotion season (they had one of the best defenses in the league)

totally. I've been reading around on some other forums, Stockport only have 16 professionals at the moment and Carlisle are playing Graham Kavanagh as a striker. Let's get some perspective and realise that we're in a better place than over 80% of league 1 clubs.

I don't really buy all this bedding in stuff. If you're a good enough manager you'll find a player who you feel can slot right in. AP knows what he needs and im sure he also knows who he needs. It's not going to be a squad overhaul by any means.

Jesus Christ. You don't buy a club for near on 15million and let it linger in league 1. You want a return, you don't get that return in league 1 or being relegated to league 2. Therefore you HAVE to invest into the team - FACT. ML is clever and so is Cortese - the liebherr family haven't made their fortune by being idiots.

Good news about Murty as well. Hopefully he puts pen to paper on monday - because he's exactly what we need both on and off the pitch.
