  1. Sweepstake for the first announcement? I'm going AMN. Unless we do them all at once in a bumper 4 for the price of 1 announcement.
  2. I knew Theo and Redmond would remain, once clubs find out how much they're on they realise it's impossible to do.
  3. Let's see what happens! My betting is that both Theo and Redmond will still be here tomorrow and that will be that. I don't think financially either will work for Bournemouth or WBA, they're simply paid too much.
  4. If we are potentially looking to move out Theo and Redmond then you'd have to assume we have another attacker lined up (in addition to Edozie), otherwise it's a bit bonkers.
  5. Just to share this again...
  6. Chelsea are run by a load of clowns nowadays, they had a somewhat decent footballing background with Buck, Mariana and Cech fronting up the transfer side of things. They've now got a random yank trying to play football manager, hence the waffle attempt (if true) to sign JWP as they are flapping around like idiots.
  7. I assumed he'd joined, but obviously not. In that case that's why owners of football clubs should keep their mouths shut on social media.....
  8. It's done and dusted, time to forget this one for everyone's sanity!
  9. That was made up nonsense then!
  10. Bit harsh. He gave his all whenever he played, was part of some proper backs to the wall performances from us. Limited, yes, and we have needed better than him. Wish him all the best though, hope he gets the games at Bournemouth.
  11. Absolutley terrible move in my eyes. I don't know what Fulham have seen as he was simply inept at Arsenal and was hounded out in Brazil for being shit.
  12. Leeds United chairman replying to tweets now.
  13. Yeah, this Rob fella was on Solent this morning discussing transfers with Blackmore.
  14. I think it's a bit daft to say only 2 of the players we've bought in are 'better' than what we had. Lis - quite clearly an upgrade on Harry Lewis. Bazunu - huge upgrade on McCarthy, that's not even up for debate. So we've got better there. ABK - huge upgrade on Bednarek, absolute no debate there either. Lavia - We've lost Romeu ( ) and Smallbone on loan, and brought in Lavia. Have to say that's an upgrade. Aribo - We needed extra in the 10's, at the end of the day he's no worse than Redmond, Theo, Elyounoussi - so we've upgraded with that one. Mara - If you look at him being the 'long' replacement then he's a significant upgrade on him. Of the potential incomings... AMN - Adds even more quality in CM which we didn't have before, and extra cover at full back. Caleta-Car - We'll have replaced Jack Stephens with a Croatia international centre back. Edozie/Larois - Young players to add a bit more depth, replaces the squad places that Tella and Small took up last season. We are still short at the top end, but all of our signings so far have been upgrades on who they've replaced.
  15. Transfer deadline day - day of stupid.
  16. Wow, that was tough viewing!
  17. It's not out of the realms, but it's an incredibly unlikely situation.
  18. He's a super talent. I can't see it, Fabrizio is just trying to drum up more followers.
  19. Maybe we're going to be playing 6 at the back to make up the lack of attackers. But I can't take anything seriously that Fabrizio guy says. He was in the know a couple of times and has blown up because he provides 'stories' to all his followers. Feels like he's become a celebrity for no real reason.
  20. Who is this Rob on twitter out of interest? He seems like a bit of a tool, yet is seemingly getting airtime on Radio Solent to cover 'transfers'. I wonder if I can get some airtime on a channel discussing something I don't actually have any knowledge in. He seems to be following the Alex Crook route.

  22. Player of the season for PSV, and Dutch Writers player of the season last year. And that was in the same league as £85m Antony. He's clearly a very good player, will probably look at him as one that got away but I never got myself too invested in this transfer as it really did feel like media and agent games in the last 24hrs.
  23. Buy Back clauses have happened quite a bit over the years but never seem to be activated, a few which spring to mind most recently: Douglas Luiz from Man City to Villa. City put in a buy-back clause in that one, but obviously have never got round to activating it. Sergio Regulion had a smallish buy-back fee put into his transfer from Real Madrid to Spurs. I think it was in the remit of £25m. never activated. Kelechi Inanacho - City stuck a buy-back of £40m in that deal, never been triggered either. Marc Guehi has a buy-back in his contract with Palace. The thing with buy back clauses is that clubs can't plan for them coming back, they have to move on without them - so even if Lavia turns into a superstar for example, if Man City don't need to fill their CM slot then they will probably not exercise it. Ditto at Chelsea, if they feel they're stocked at RB and Tino is a bit of a superstar with us, then they wouldn't really pursue it. I know people say these are glorified loan deals, but they're not really. These are our players, the selling clubs have an option to take them back if they want, but given the fast paced world of football and the PL they will likely baulk out their squads with more established players before these lads are even ready for that level.
  24. The most tenuous 'Player spotted in airport' picture I've ever seen in my life.
