  1. It's all about the reverse psychology. 🤣
  2. Amazing. Fair play Switzerland, love to see an underdog story. France, bar 30 mins in the 2nd half, just didn't show up. They didn't seem much of a team though. I don't even want to call tomorrow. Although I don't think I could deal with an evening like tonight again.
  3. Jeez, Mbappe. He's got to score.
  4. McCoist is a breath of fresh air as a co-commentator to be honest. Nothing dour about him at all. Not sure about Clive though.
  5. Wow, great effort by Coman at the end. What a frigging evening of football. Seriously. Best i've watched for years.
  6. I genuinely do not believe what I'm seeing. France have gone back into 'I don't give a shit' mode!
  7. Jesus christ, this tournament is incredible.
  8. That's a wonder goal. Fair play France, they've turned up second half. Feel a bit for the Swiss, but once the French turned it up they stood no chance tbh.
  9. The Swiss are all over the place. They looked so composed first half.
  10. France will see this one out now, Swiss are gone. (Trying my reverse phycology again, as it worked very well in the last game)
  11. Blimey. game, set, match.
  12. And as if by magic. Game changed on that.
  13. Dammit, they've blown it there.
  14. Expecting to see much better from France in this half, I couldn't believe how off it they were. They just didn't give a shit.
  15. Take it a run I think, anything we can get for him is a bonus - plus the wages off the books. Newcastle fans aren't going to like him I don't think.
  16. Reminds me a bit of Euro 2004 in terms of goals/attacking. The only difference in 2004 was that England actually attacked and scored goals.
  17. I said that on purpose.
  18. Not been impressed with Croatia in this tournament, i think they've been generally pretty shit.
  19. Best 3 outfits for me so far are Belgium, Holland and Italy. Although all 3 did get quite fortunate with really easy peasy groups. But they did the business, Italy in particular look a bit of an all rounder.
  20. It was strange to give him a new deal, I always found it odd at the time. He's never looked quite at it for me...looks lacking at this level in a few aspects of his game. I'm sure he'll do ok at Crewe but the reality is that's probably going to be his level..... Matt Crocker was fairly clear on the loan situation - the club policy is that there is no point loaning players out who have a chance of playing here. If we loan a player then it's usually a case that we see their future elsewhere. So the 2 year deal makes as much sense as Forsters 2 5-year deals.
  21. It is hard to see. All Southgate has on his CV is relegating Middlesbrough and U21 International football, not sure how that qualifies him. It feels like a really wasted opportunity to be honest. Players like Mount, Grealish, Sancho, Sterling, Foden. These are guys who terrorise teams in their respective leagues....but at international level, against the same...and sometimes lesser players, play a totally different game. It's obviously by instruction to just play as slow as we do and it's so frustrating, because we should be enthralling to watch with the attackers at our disposal. But I fall asleep most games. That might just be me getting old though.
  22. Norwich have the Benduia money to use, so let's not get upset by them spending! Good player all the same. The reality is that we're probably waiting for Gunn to be confirmed before we can announce our left back. And that will probably be it until the end of the window when we scout for a few freebie loans etc. It's still early but bar these early rumours it's all gone flat again, probably once it's been discovered that these clubs want actual money and not magic beans. This is why selling a big player for big bucks to give us some flexibility could be attractive to the club. Let's see what happens.
  23. Not sure what to make of England. Part of me is like ''well, there's better yet to come!'' - but the other part of me is saying...this is probably it. This is how we will paly under this pathetic excuse for a manager. Risk adverse, alienating quality like Sancho is truly weird. You can be sure he'll throw him on in the next game on 80mins when we're behind, just as a reactionary sub - but it will be all pretty pointless. Still has the potential to be a great euros, but equally it could end up being one of our worst ever tournaments for goal scoring and attacking quality.
  24. We'll do well to beat the Czechs tbh.
  25. That was an absolute shambles. Way too slow, way too one dimensional. We looked clueless on the ball, absolutely no idea. With players like Sterling, Mount, Grealish, Foden at our disposal and to look so clueless sadly sums up the coaching more than anything. We've managed to make Kane look like a pub player because we do not create anything for him. I'm not sure what that Croatia game was all about now - were Croatia just that bad? I thought we had a bit more about us then though, today we just weren't there. Credit to Scotland who dug in and with a better finisher (no offence adams - but that game summed him up) they'd have probably won it. Truly dire. Really bad. Cezch's will finish top quality comfortably now.
