  1. A win comes along when you least expect it. That's what I'll go to bed believing anyway.
  2. I think his legs have gone to be honest. He's also one of the worst 'personalities' we have, in my opinion. He is shit when the going gets tough, absolutely diabolical. What's worse now is that he's slower, weaker and generally not in games against decent attackers. We need to upgrade on him, not sign him up. I have a feeling the club have recognised that.
  3. Probably the lack of money again.
  4. It was a very strange/truncated situation. Funnily enough, the season ended in 2020 (March) after a 1-0 loss at home to Newcastle, we were shocking. We needed that break. We seemed to adapt to 'post lockdown' much better than other teams. We had some favourable fixtures against Norwich, Sheff U etc to rack up some points. But it was a strange situation without fans and typically, this bunch (who shrink during pressure) came to the fore when there was no pressure from the stands. The effect of that has wained now and everyone has got used to the circumstances/no fans. Don't get me wrong, we're not going to continue as we are at the moment for ever, but where we are is a very, very true reflection of this squad - 12th - 16th.
  5. He's decent, nothing special. Not an amazing player. When we were pushing under Koeman he was a squad player at best, if we want to get to those levels he is probably a squad player. I like Romeu, he has done a decent job for us, but he's not a world beater. Needs better players playing well around him.
  6. Granted, it doesn't look likely at the moment - as it wouldn't do for any team on this run of form, but we will get points in our remaining games. Of that I have no doubt. Even this rabble can do that.
  7. IMO some of our fans rate our players too highly. They are generally, shit. That's why I think he's done great to even get us doing as well as we have done, or even spoken about as being a 'Top half' team. Truth be told we have a lot of very poor players, not quite good enough. Adams, Redmond, Bertrand (legs have gone). Then you have the other level - Romeu, Bednarek, Vestergaard, JWP, McCarthy, Moussa, Armstrong - can be decent when the going is good, but prone to head fucks and shrink during adversity. Ings is prob the best player we have. He's better off out of it. That is a terrible makeup of a squad.
  8. We are in relegation form, as much as Sheffield United have been in all season. But I'm still thankful we got the points on the board we did. We still have a decent cushion and some favourable fixtures coming up, maybe not immediately, but I still can't imagine us not getting 6-7 points from those remaining games and that will do us. Season closed.
  9. Fitness, mentality. Combination of both. We usually coast around in the first half, looking good on the ball but failing to do anything with it. Start the second half, oppo comes out a bit better and puts us under more pressure and we crumble under it. Game over.
  10. A huge cog in how we play. Take the attacking right back out and our right side goes. Then we're left with the left side, which is pretty shit most of the time (Bertrands legs have gone)
  11. I don't know what he's supposed to do. He's been lumbered with a team full of losers that he's tried to polish as much as he can. The polish has come off and the shit is shining through again. What can he do? He claimed as much he'd have brought in players if he could, but we have no money. He needed backing. When he goes (He'll walk IMO) he will walk into a club, get some backing and you'll see what he's all about when a club affords him some flexibility to mould a squad in his ideas. This is a mish mash of a squad that he is TRYING to evolve into his style. He did miracles to make this rabble play as well as they have done. They are a shit team, shit bunch of players. If I was Ralph, I'd cut my losses and walk away from the losers.
  12. You have to be a special type of shit to not at least score against Leeds, so this diabolical 'team' can take that accolade on top of all the others over the last 4 years. Congrats. Moan at someone about that Redmond. Does anyone see what people are saying about our ‘heads dropping’ now? The shit mentality of our players? Look at it – bit of adversity, we absolutely implode and sink into our own skin. The make up of this squad is wrong, the personalities are wrong, it's all wrong. Not enough purpose in our attacking, not enough clear-cut opportunities. Didn’t really force their keeper into too many saves, didn’t make their defenders panic enough. Leeds didn’t play that well, but they created at least 10 clear cut chances to our 1? 2 at a push. Nowhere near good enough. I don’t want Redmond at my club anymore, truth be told. I think he is a truly diabolical player. Adams has dropped back to ‘no goals’ mode as well, he looks equally as diabolical. Could do with a season on loan in the Championship, but he’s our focal point next year so we might as well get used to it. Poor in defence, poor in goal, poor in attack. There is genuinely nothing functioning with us at the moment, it all feels very broken. Thank fuck we picked up those points at the start of the season. Overall, we have pissed what could have been a decent season into a season of absolute pointless nothingness, swimming around in the dank swamp of Newcastle/Palace etc. Great fun. Another truly miserable season under Gao's tenure, but apparently he's a good owner. I'd say bring on next season, but I'm dreading it. I think 2020 was as good as it's going to get for us for a very long time.
  13. That is an insane result. Brighton just do not score goals, that has been their issue all season long. They have absolutely dominated this game, Palace haven't touched them. Based on that, you worry for Brighton. If you can't win a game playing that well, then no idea.
  14. To be fair, he was brought on as a sub on the 85th min. Probably didn't get a touch. But he hasn't performed great this year, he's been pretty pants for them all told. Not sure we'll get much for him, probably another loan.
  15. I've seen a few mentions of Bednarek at right back. But he didn't play right back. He was part of a 3, and he was the right sided centre back offering support to Moussa who was the Right wing back.
  16. They're without Grealish now for 5-6 weeks and Matty Cash for 5 or so weeks. It's the same old story for the likes of Us, Villa etc in the middle pack - we both have the potential to break thorough - but we can be hurt too easily by injuries to key players. I'd say Villa have a bit more depth than us though, but then you can't really replace Grealish with a like for like.
  17. Isn't it something insane like £30m compo??? Crazy owners thinking he is still relevant! They should have gone for someone like Naglesmen when Poch went.
  18. When are people in charge of 'big' clubs going to realise that Jose is a busted flush? His methods went out of the window by the end of the 'noughties'. He has not moved on and is nothing but a journeyman defensive manager. Certainly not worth the wage his previous reputation demands.
  19. You will not see us spending any more than £15m on a single player any time soon, so we won't be signing a striker circa 30m. Tony and Edouard are already well out of our possibilities. It'll be unknown/unproven players in the 10-12m bracket, who are not quite ready to start from the off and need to be eased in but will grow into the side - like Salisu/Diallo etc. That method hasn't done us too badly in the last window. The risk comes when you sell some of your core 11 and you never truly replace those with day 1 starters, but I think we're going to need to trust Ralph etc on this one. Let's see how clever we can be.
  20. Yep, manager until the 'end of the season'. They might as well have kept Tindall. Cheap option originally, but at least he offered a bit of continuity from the Howe years. Might have someone lined up for the summer I guess, but it strikes me as a club doing it on the cheap as per Jason Tindall when Eddie Howe went. Don't think we'll be seeing them back in the top flight for an incredibly long time.
  21. Minimino hasn't 'yet' done enough for me to want us to sign him permanently. Needs to show more involvement in the game overall, it was like we were playing with 10 men against Wolves.
  22. Don't get me wrong, it's frustrating that this scenario is even creeping into peoples minds. We were set to have a nice tidy season, but it's now just going to be a bit of a mid-table nothingness. So it's a bit frustrating that injuries have killed it really. Mid 40's will be our points return imo. Still, have faith. We've got good players, albeit a little fragile mentally, but our core when on song is still much stronger than those of Burnley/Newcastle/Palace/Brighton without question. They've proven that IMO.
  23. They've won 7 points out of 9, they are on their best run of the season. That's all. Why are people assuming that this is how Fulham will continue now? And why in the same vein are people assuming we will continue as we are now? It won't even take us to have a ''good run'' to fly away from Fulham, it'll just a win here and there over the next couple of months. I don't want it to be like that though and I don't think it will be. It's taken them to get 7 out of 9, and us to have our worst spell of defeats in our history, for the 'mighty' Fulham to come to within 8 points of us. I think that puts some context around it.
  24. We have to be clever in the market, and to our credit I think we've shown that we can be in the last two windows. Those are the sorts of signings we'll be looking at - generally unknown, young, need easing into the team type of signings. Even Ralph said he can't see us signing someone who can help us 'straight away' as we don't have the money for that. We've just got to be clever and hope we unearth a gem who can mature/grow into the side. Couple of shrewd loans thrown in for good measure and it might not look too bad.
  25. Yep, we're fine. We need two wins, maybe 1 win and 2 draws. We have to play Sheffield United, Burnley, West Brom etc. I'm not being complacent, I just don't understand why fans have so much confidence in other teams. We are on a bad run, we haven't won since the start of January - that will change sooner rather than later and this won't even be a debate come March. If we were in Fulham's position this forum would be full of the same posters saying 'it's game over'.
