Harry Maguire found guilty, so he's out.
-
I don't think he's joined up with the club yet @trousers. Training on his own, but it makes you wonder why.
-
It's a strange situation, but I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have been involved in this in some way. Surely people as switched on as Martin and co would have done the same due diligence as us last year? A few random fans on an internet forum found a company that didn't really exist, had no real purpose, lots of lies on their website and random made up people (and let's not forget the squirrel). If it flagged so many red flags for us, then how did that get through the club? The person owning 80% stake calling the shots and shoehorning it through for his own benifit...? Just putting it out there.
-
I guess you have to think - what is more terrible? No sponsor and no income, or a sponsor for 1 year to tide us over so we can sort out longer term next year? There would have been very few viable sponsors out there willing to take us on at such short notice, just saying. The crux is that the terrible decision stems back to a year ago when the club thought LD Sports was a viable business back then, they never were. I'm really surprised that someone as switched on as Martin didn't flag that a year ago.

Good to see JWP and Ings in there, no brainer on either really. Southgate knows JWP really well, he was his captain for the U21's, so I reckon he has a chance to nail down a place. Winks/Rice/Phillips - pretty much the same player, just different names. Mount and Foden forward thinking attacking midfielders, but JWP can play that deeper playmaker role without a problem. Obviously a bit of club bias from me there, but even Spurs fans don't particularly rate Winks.
-
Yep, agreed. But let's not open that can of worms...(hence why I think he should be the one paying us the lost revenue)
-
Even a betting company is better than that charade. It seems as if the club have tried to get confirmation of their viability, but have struggled. It beggars belief as to why no one tried to get confirmation of their viability last summer to be honest.
-
If Ings doesn't get a call up, then there is absolutely no point.
-
I think what happens is that the 'credit' you have is automatically deducted from your third payment. It's something the club do automatically I believe and you won't see it. So you'd pay full price for the first two instalments, then the third instalment would be cheaper and with your credit deducted.
-
Yeah possibly, I guess there's no need for any advance notice anyway. We may have one 'proper' friendly I guess, but it's quite a condensed pre-season so everything will be a tad different.
-
They probably will, no point in telling fans though as we wouldn't be able to attend. Probably lots of behind closed doors/non advertised friendlies.
-
I'll happily donate to any charity if it's discovered that Gao has nothing to do with 'LD Sports' and 'Lander Developments (i.e LD)' are not linked to 'LD Sports'. Sadly we'll never find out, but it seems fairly obvious to me.
-
Gao should pay for every return/refund out of his own pocket. He should also ensure, whatever happens, that the 2 years we signed up for are still paid for - out of his own pocket. It's the very least he can do, as this is going to hit us financially during a time we didn't need it.

'Southampton star' - yeah, discount that.

Not on the store I'm looking at! It's all still there.

Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...

He had a debut in the 05-06 season, right at the end against Millwall. Then he became the starter left back in 06-07, scored against Derby in the first game, and then against Cov the following game from direct kicks. That Derby game still haunts me, Paul Peschsolido or however you spell it equalising at the end after we dominated really. -
Yes it is, they're selling the replica kits with the logos on.

There were stories at the time that it was an 'up to £26m' deal, but it did seem and still seems far fetched for us to have made a profit on a player who looked pretty poor at this level. Dan in The Athletic mentioned that Leicester were interested, but didn't come 'close' to matching what we want for him (we want to try and get our 17/18m back). So, yeah that up to £26m seems incredibly far fetched. I guess if someone did reject that sort of deal, they'd want to keep quiet and brush it under the carpet anyway - as that would have been as big a fail as the signing of Carrillo!
-
They are all from who scored. You can search whoever you want on there, it's based on info sourced from all the leagues.
-
Wolves had him on loan initially in the summer of 2018, albeit with a £30m clause in it. There's a small possibility he may have cost less when we signed Gudio. At the end of the day I think we had that level of fee to potentially use.
-
I think they're looking for a superstar replacement for Kepa though! If that's Forster their fans will be having a fit.

Jesus christ, that makes me feel old. Where have all these years gone. -
Some more chat about it here - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53856921 Will be interesting to see if fan pressure makes any change. Probably not, it's all driven by $$

Broadcast arrangements are back as normal. Sky, BT and Amazon prime. No extra broadcasted games planned as yet, just normal arrangements.
