Is there something I've missed as to why people are dismissing him and putting him in the category of Wigley and Gray?
I've not really heard a great deal about him, but a quick glance at what he's done in France suggests he's one of the better managers over there. His style of play sounds great fun.
So, what exactly is it that people aren't happy about with him?
Zenga, Carvalhal were agent plants, or just media generating stores as they don't have a clue. We won't ever know who has shown an interest, it's safe to say if you take what's in the papers as gospel then you're a little naive.
I wouldn't really say it's our inability to finish, more the fact that we simply didn't create enough clear-cut chances for some of the most prolific players in the PL. Formations, tactics is all the blame. Too pedestrian and rigid.
When Alpine starts making posts and outlandish claims such as this, we're often on the brink of good news and he's made to look like a wolly again.
So it's a good sign.
I don't remember a single person being happy with MP at the time, not one. The whole feeling was around chants and protests at the Everton home game to send our 'displeasure'.
There have been too many seriously dull games! I've not even been watching this one, and I thought i'd be hooked after the England game....but it just aint grabbing my attention yet.
Fans are too gullible to the media, the media play the meltdown line every year - but we had one summer like that, one.
People are too influenced by media ********. Just look at the actual facts.
I honestly don't see how we could have a good season when it's publicly known that the manager is off. You'd have week after week of flaming speculation, it wouldn't be that good an environment.
