Not keen to get wound up in the talk of Champions league football again, but I will say this. It stupidly raises expectations amongst the fan base, it's simply not an achievable target for us. I'm all for reach for the stars and all that, but this is Southampton we're talking about. We're not big enough or financially strong enough to initially make the push for it, and to secondly sustain it.

Can anyone shed any light on why the **** Man Utd have signed Falcao? Radamel Falcao has signed for Manchester United on a season-long loan. The Old Trafford club will pay a £12million loan fee and the Colombian is going to be on £200,000-per-week. Big statement of intent from Louis van Gaal. Falcao will land in Manchester at 4:50pm - what a story.

I think the target is to 'achieve/win' something within 3 years. That may be finishing 4th (since when is that a title!), an FA Cup a League cup.....not entirely sure our out and out target is top 4, we just want to achieve a title within 3 seasons.

All 3 are decent to be honest. I've always like Kacaniklic, had a decent spell with Fulham in the PL not so long ago. Direct, quick and an end product - think he's now a Swedish international too.

Fair play to the club for pulling this one off. Tons of interest, and the fact Koeman said it was unrealistic suggests we've steamed in as soon as the supposed option for him went dead. Koeman a big factor for sure. A loan is fine, he improves our squad for a year and improves our chances of having a decent season.

Trust me, his recovery has gone way better than expected. His injury is 100% sorted, just a case of fitness build up. He'll be back in a matter of weeks, not months. I'm somewhat ITK on this. And Spurs wouldn't bid for a player there were doubts over, they're also full aware of his full recovery.

If we get Mane, we won't want Townsend. Pretty sure there won't be any major outgoings tomorrow. Biggest possibility is probably Boruc I'd have thought. As Koeman said, the squad is already too small - and that was before Tadier lost his head!
