  1. Don't really want to believe what I was told the other day, but I was told that he is seriously considering his position. Make of that what you will.
  2. Will probably be someone like Harry Kane or Tom Carrol.
  3. What point are you actually trying to make?
  4. Peach is fine, knows his stuff. Crook is the one with the joke tag.
  5. We're not even selling to elite clubs anymore. Won't be long before the likes of Cardiff and Stoke get Cork and Fonte.
  6. Yes, that time i didn't re-write it.
  7. If we actually sell an injured player, then I think it may be time for protests. Something is up, big time.
  8. And I'm sure he turned to Cortese for advise. He needs help. He is drowning. He has lost control of the situation.
  9. He has, no denying that. But he is utterly out of his depth and on his own in his current role, he either needs some help or needs to go.
  10. That is the plan. I was told months ago that the plan was to offset the sales with youth team players, with a few signings here and there to baulk the squad. We'll see, but it's looking like the case.
  11. Unfortuntley that is a true statement.
  12. That's also my worry. The message going out there at the moment is that we are a club in crisis, turmoil, or whatever way you want to spin it. I hope the club are prepared to overspend a little on wages/fees to get players over the line, as that's probably what will need to happen to appease their decisions right now. From the outside we look a rudderless mess.
  13. I give you that with Lallana, or Shaw - big players, going for big fees to get big money and to be stars at their new elite clubs. Chambers is different. He will be a squad player at Arsenal, and in my opinion - as a club who finished 8th last season, we shouldn't find ourselves having to sell our best players to become squad players at other clubs. This is a transfer too far as it didn't need to happen. Another year could have been easily sorted out here, but there is clearly very little determination once the $$$$ fly in front of KL's eyes.
  14. Can't believe the prices were put up, tbh.
  15. Because he's signed for Arsenal.
  16. To me, this deal just confirms the the board have absoloutley no control over this situation. It has spiraled out of control and we're no longer controlling it. Agents, players and the other clubs are controlling our own situation. That's what happens when you have a board made up of people who don't have a clue.
  17. And it's a load of utter horse****. That's why I ask them to STFU, and get some players in. That's the only answer at the moment, none of these pathetic one line statements which take us for fools.
  18. “It is important in the transfer window to remain calm, resilient and above all patient'' Amazingly resilient, sold half our team. That's what you call resilience Sorry, but it's so easy to just rip apart his statement as it's full of horse****.
  19. “Calum made it clear to us that he did not see his future at Southampton. As such, it was crucial that we were able to negotiate a substantial fee that also reflects the work our staff have put into Calum’s development since he joined the club at the age of eight. Ok, so he wanted to go, so it was then crucial we sold him? How about you just sit him down and say no. Nice one. Good determination their Les, absoloutly breathtaking. They're taking us for fools.
  20. Les Reed: “Our position remains unchanged in that we are determined to keep our best young players at the club.” What an absolute load of horrendous bull****. Save us the **** take Les, you'll be facing a mutiny if this carries on.
  21. This has turned out much worse than even my most pessimistic outlook was suggesting. There is simply no positive spin to be made out of this. It is a complete and utter demolition of a football club.
  22. That's the scariest thing I've ever read tbh.
  23. A right footed genius. Can play on the wing, but prefer to operate in attacking midfield. Known for my pin point passing and long-range blockbusters. A life of booze and takeaways has meant that I've never been able to fulfil my potential.
