The whole day was pretty underwhelming if we're honest, the attendance was very odd.

Christ, do we need someone like him. Please sign.

2 pretty rubbish teams, we were just a little more rubbish than them. We were pretty in the first half up until the final third, but very, very ineffective. I couldn't give two hoots if Jay Rodriguez has played on the left before, he shouldn't play there for us. Completely isolated, no support and not involved in the game what soever. He scored 23 goals last season as a striker, play him there - simple as that. We are pretty up until the final third, where it all goes tits up basically. We just need an extra injection of something, a little more flair on the flanks, because we're so static and slow it's frightening. and PL defenses will just gobble that up really. The 2nd half was one to just simply forget, horrific from us. We just never got going. We changed the shape a few times, but once you've started poorly it's very hard to get any sort of rhythm no matter which formation we played - and that was pretty much the case today. It was never going to be easy, but I just hoped we'd have a bit more about us today in our first home game back. But we were flat and one dimensional, and never got going as an attacking threat.

It was blocked, I can back you up on that eric. but it looks like it's been fixed - ok now.

For the last time, you can work on more than 1 transfer at any one time. I'm baffled as to where this theory has come from.

TBF he played well against City, so deserves to keep his place. Lambert up top them is my guess.

Sunderland have been busy. They've now confirmed the signing of Adam Johnson

What a completely bizarre thread.
-
Just how you wanted it, basically. Otherwise what the hell are you supposed to moan about??

Another day, no sod it, another WEEK, and Alpine is saying the same thing. A massively normal transfer window on saints web.

A much, much clearer translation.

This thread won't go down well.

Bloody twitter.....Now we haven't bought 30% of him at all, so that's rubbish.

Because it's obvious. Bolonga have a player on strike. He won't train or play for them anymore. We have the only offer on the table, which is 2.5m euro short of what they want in terms of a net fee. We've agreed the contract with the player. The player has been over and has been sold the whole package. The closer we get ot the end of the window, Bolonga will realise that what we've offered is better than nothing and having an unhappy moping around for 6 months. (value potentially decreasing). The talk of other clubs being interested is just that, talk. They're playing games to try and force our hand. We won't budge and they will be forced to take it at the end of the day. Basically, nothing has changed. Just fresh quotes saying the exactly the same as he did on Monday, just worded slightly differently.

That's only 1.9m . it'll be sorted, don't fret.
-
He wouldn't know much more than we do from this. All he's done is read what we've read.
-
i.e come back on deadline day when we have no other offers, and we'll do a deal.
-
Discussions are still on-going between both clubs.
-
Umm, I don't think so. Basically they have no money. They need the money. They have an unhappy player, who is on strike refusing to train or play. They have an offer from us on the table. They can continue to ignore that offer and risk losing millions of mounds, or they can grab what they can get and make Ramirez out to be the bad guy in all of this. It's only going one way.
-
Got a hunch he will have a farewell game.
-
Whatever. He needs to make his mind up. I'm sure he'll be here by the end of the window.
-
Bolonga are starting to look a little silly here. We don't need to give them any guarantee's. If they want an unhappy player, who is on strike, and whose value will now only decrease - then good on them.

We can trust itchen_dan to bring the thread back to some sort of normality.
