There we go then. Quite clearly related to that, you don't go from being a first name on the team sheet to being farmed out of the door for a cut priced fee if all is ok...More fool QPR maybe.
-
And also, it was Bolonga's side that blabbed in the first place. Don't think we've done anything wrong here.
-
Went to Dubai I believe.

Wasn't the case when you posted the thread though it's also for 10m+, didn't think it would ever be the 5m. Something is iffy with this transfer, have they discovered he has a really bad incurable injury or something? Seems such a quick transfer for a player who was their captain last year.

He never said that. Where have people got that quote from? He said the ''endeavors'' are there to get players in before the start of the season, but if they don't manage it we still have until the end of August - and that's where he was more certain.
-
I'd imagine it's because Bolonga sources are leaking it to the Italian media. They have no ability to really leak it in the English press.

Just had a quick browse through the Jay Rod thread from June. It's basically this thread, just replace Jay Rodriguez with Gaston Ramirez and it's the same thread. Same content, same twits...and hopefully the same outcome!

It's hard to be sure if that's what happens as we don't sit in the board room, but I think it's clear that NC tries to drive a hard fee - in terms of outgoing and incoming transfers. I know that we priced Puncheon out of a move, as we wouldn't budge from £1m. No one would meet it, but we wouldn't budge - and we'll never ever, ever, ever get £1m for him now, maybe not even 500k. So what you say may be right in some areas, but I think he's prudent. He doesn't want to put the club into financial trouble so he won't ever spend what we don't have. I don't believe we are massively loaded, I think we operate a policy of spend what we generate - and we may generate just about enough to tie up Gaston, but possibly not all the fee up front. That's my opinion anyway, may be wrong - but I think in some areas he's entitled to drive a hard bargain as he's looking after this club, but other times he needs to just loosen it slightly.

He will still be ours by the end of the window, IMO. Blackpool would be fools to turn down 5/6m for him.
-
Ah ok. The tone of the tweets seem very fishy to say the least. Some stuff being fed out, I'm sure.
-
That's the thing. Nothing has changed, everything is still the same as it was yesterday. So I have no idea why it's turned like this. People are acting as if this has been a month long Saga, when in fact it's only been 5 days.

Who is this guy? Did he break the story? or just a random jounro?
-
There you go, talking as if you know what's going on, and that it's already September 1st'. It isn't. Adkins has said he will sign players before the window. We will. Sit tight. Don't panic.

Pretty much this Papa.

Still think Adomah would be a good addition, if the Phillips one doesn't happen.
-
Nope, not a thing. What have you heard?
-
Great little player. Little, pacey number. Can play either side or as a striker. Would be a great replacement for Modric - would love to see him in the PL.
-
As people keep saying, we can do more than one deal at any one time. Where has this come from that clubs can only work on 1 deal at any one time? Of course it doesn't work like that. Clubs have loads of deals going on at the same time, some happen, some don't - but it's silly to think that you can only work on 1 transfer at a time.
-
Wow, this thread is really bringing out the worst in some.
-
He'll only be a squad player for them. Won't play often. Pretty emotionless about this one. couldn't really give 2 hoots, seems an odd one.
-
This is another one that I expect will go down to the wire.

Football Journalist Jeremy Butler: "Had chat with agent working for Bologna tasked with getting a striker from money they expect to get from #saintsfc for Gaston Ramirez."
