  1. The fee is between 250-300k.
  2. All you're looking for in pre-season is progress from game to game, and we've clearly got that. We're still a few weeks away from complete sharpness as you'd expect, but we were light years ahead from the Anderlecht game - so very encouraging in that aspect. Our defensive shape looks impressive, we seem to go to 4-5-1 without the ball and close down very quickly, get tight very quickly and limit the options for the opposition, but when we get hold of the ball we almost instantly shift into a 4-3-3. We need a little more pace to make it more dynamic, but I think you saw from the involvement of Clyne what we expect of our full backs in this formation when we attack. Ward-Prowse, as i keep saying, is a star int he making. I love the way he times his runs into the box, always looking to score goals from CM. Very agile and technical as well. Looking forward to seeing more of him as the season goes on. Jay Rodriguez is technically brilliant and will be a star for us, bit isolated on the left at times but when he came inside he was very dangerous. Overall an encouraging display, only let slip because of 1 little lack of concentration and bang. That's what happens against champions league standard teams.
  3. At least QPR have got their own MLG
  4. We kind of outgrew him, but he was more than good enough for us in L1. One of the best players at that level
  5. Story has been taken down from our OS now.
  6. Hold your horses. Despite earlier story, paperwork has not been completed on the Dan Harding transfer to Forest, as such the deal is not complete #SaintsFC
  7. On another note, the ball boys will now be breathing a sigh of relief.
  8. tbh I think QPR are doing some clever business and are taking their time over it.
  9. It's apparently Fulham and WHU who are the clubs, not us.
  10. Would imagine it does. Dickson isn't going to be anywhere near and will go as well I'd imagine. Shaw is too young for this year to be serious competition. Might suggest there is some truth in the Buttner deal being on again as I can't see us letting this one happen without something on the verge our side.
  11. True. Fawaz AL Hasawi ‏@Fawaz_alhasawi Dan Harding has joined forest this morning from southampton .he is a 28 year old left sided defender. Echo everyone else really, will always have fond memories and will always welcome him back to SMS. Played a big part in where we are today.
  12. It was outstanding.
  13. Very doubtful

Didn't ever think he was the sort of CB for us. He's pretty awkward on the ball to say the least, and NA likes cultured CB's.
  15. I'd do the same, if they didn't have Kean as manager, who is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
  16. A completely stupid thing to say, which is so factually untrue. He was terrific for us in L1, and was part of the reason we're now in the PL. He's played a massive part in where we are and I'll appreciate what he did for us if he moved on, I'll fond memories of him for sure. Maybe you should try looking at all his performances again? Just an idea.
  17. It's all very exciting, should allow us to keep growing now we're in the PL. (p.s - can a mod please edit the title as I've made a right mess of it)
  18. We've got it..... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2862706,00.html
  19. blimey, what painful, dull viewing this is. Might watch a soap.
  20. Oh trust me, there would have been some threads started by the normal crew if we'd lost to Wednesday. Bit naive to think otherwise!

  22. Because we want to play 4-3-3, with a narrow front 3, and there will be more reliance on the full backs to provide the width right down the line - and it's important they're full of pace as well, I'm sure of it. I would say this signing is an upgrade to Fox in that extent. Also explains why we're after a ''midfield'' enforcer type. It's risky as we'll get picked off by the better teams for sure, but it's exciting because we're going to go for it next year.
  23. We want an attacking, adventurous full back without a doubt. We've got that with Clyne, and to an extend Richardson, on the right hand side.
  24. Not sure what you expect, we're being linked with Lens who is top half quality without a doubt. Once Rodriguez, Clyne and Davis settle we will have 3 top 10 standard PL players in our team. All 3 of those are coups for a club of our current stature. I'm looking at who WHU have bought and I can't see anyone of any note, Reading have kind of followed the same route as us but lesser quality. Teams like Wigan have done diddly squat. Our business so far as been excellent, if you're not pleased with that then you're never going to be pleased.
  25. Got to admire our ambition in going for him, but I don't think we'll secure it.
