It was just confirmation on Davis and an agreement with Rangers. -

Very, very doubtful. Just sounds like an imminent positive article on the week they've had out there. -

butland looks pretty sharp tbf, but you'd think that it was a priority for us to get him in before the Olympics, because his price will sky rocket and our chance will be long gone. -
Can't see us not going that high, pretty sure we'll agree a fee but it'll come down to the players willingness.
-
There is nothing to panic about, people panicking about this not happening are those who are looking for problems.

Well that's good news! I imagine with Forecast going that confirms we're still after another keeper, I think all decent teams want at least 3 keepers they can call on. Exciting times, and I think we have a couple of genuine ITK guys on this forum...keep an eye out.
-
Maybe they don't want Forecast? Can't blame them. Another season of First team football is beneficial for all.
-
I reckon Rui would cost more in the 15-16m price bracket if I'm honest. Well out of our range at the mo. Butland's value will also increase IMO after the Olympics, I think i'm right in saying that he's first choice? If he has a good Olympics then you watch the big, big clubs circle and Birmingham will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Another name that's just popped up on another forum. Niklas Moisander 26 year old Finish captain and CB Niklas Moisander, (born 29 September 1985 in Turku) is a Finnish footballer, who currently plays for Dutch team AZ and the national team of Finland. He is the captain of both teams. He is a centre back, but can also play as leftback. He is the twin brother of Henrik Moisander. Will be interesting to see if this picks up pace. We do like the Dutch leagues don't we? -
LONDON - PSV has recently placed a bid on Jeremain Lens of the English Premier League club Southampton received. Technical director Marcel Brands has thanked for the interest PSV because the attacker does not want to sell. According to his agent Lens is open to a foreign club, but he would also like to stay at PSV. "Last season Jeremain had a good end, but he wants to be constant. At PSV, he can play in the spotlight in the Dutch national team to arrive. Jeremain PSV will not give up, it must be a very good offer in perspective . I believe that every player with ambition is open to interest, provided it is good for his career. " http://www.ed.nl/sport/psv/11408650/PSV-wijst-bod-Southampton-op-Lens-af.ece

# Southampton is not only expressed interest in # Jeremain Lens. There's even made an offer at # PSV. So on http://ed.nl/sport

These dutch folk have odd habits.

We've actually made an official bid according to a PSV club official on twitter, but they've thrown it in the dustbin. Only temporarily though, which must be good news. Brabant first offer of the hand made. "PSV have the bid from Southampton on Lens temporarily thrown in the dustbin," says Elfrink on Twitter. This isn't anything to do with the club, it's perform.
-
Says it all really. His call up was more forced with injuries than anything, I don't think there's a great deal of difference between them if I'm honest. Both young, obviously talented...would be delighted with either based on what I've read. Got a feeling a few people would see this as a 'cheap' 'underwhelming' option though, when infact it isn't.
-
Pretty similar to be honest. Both played in the same league last year, both played similar amount of games and both were rated really highly. Butland has been propelled to a mega keeper because he's English, was involved with the Euro squad and is involved in the Olympic squad. Based on last season's showing, they were both excellent keepers performing at the same level. + this guy will cost a hell of a lot less. (hey, we may even sign both yet - who knows!)

I imagine our manager has a bit more nous, and he won't allow Clyne to mark the tallest player. That wasn't his limitation, it was his manager being out-thought by Adkins.
-
Ammar Jemal mkII, as I thought.
-
Davis Clyne - New addition - Jos - Fox New - Morgan - Davis - Lallana Lambert - Rodriguez
-
We need 1 GK. 2 centre backs, 1 LB and a RW/AMC type. That would be that.
-
Would be a star, he's not a striker by the way. Bizarrely I read an article on the dutch squad a few months back and there was a feature on this lad, he's seen more of a winger or an ''in the hole'' forward, not a striker - so he's potentially our RM type player. I'll see if I can dig out the link, but he was described as quick, nimble and very agile. He's more than good enough for a team like Everton, so we'd be pulling off another coup.
