Yep, don't forget about Lee. In this formation he'd be electric. Also agree about JWP, the top awaits him. With us I hope.
-
He's very clever, he knows what he's doing....reading some of the posts over here this summer, you'd think he didn't! The preparation is so specific and he seems to know when to change it, he reads the game from he side so well. He got a bit of luck today with those 2 subs scoring, let's be honest, but he sensed a moment where we could open up a bit - and we did, got our rewards for a period.
-
I didn't realize how poetic that was until I read it back...!

That's what is wanted, and apparently is what's now close to being agreed. Bolonga wanted everything up front, but we wanted instalments - a compromise now looks to have been agreed. Fun week ahead IMO.

The same bloke has now responded to another tweet. He doesn't know if it will happen tomorrow, but the difference required to sort is so small that it would be weird if it wasn't agreed now. He also agrees that Ramirez's words were quite unwise.

It's a permanent choice going by what Adkins is saying. He says he's been here 12 years and has matured so well, he's ready to lead the team now. That were his words.... I imagine it's a nice reward of Adam too, ''you stuck with us when you could have gone, so now you can captain us where we belong"

Ok, I'll reply. I would suggest watching the game back from the moment Lambert came on. That moment allowed Guly to operate in a free role, in that role he pulled their midfield and defence all over the place as they didn't know how to track him. He was involved in the build up to the equaliser and kept the ball well for most of the 2nd half. In the first half he was often isolated as a lone man up front, but boy did he work his arse off without the ball. I bet you if yo asked Kompany and Lescott they'd tell you he was a nightmare to play against because of his constant movement and effort. People single him out for reasons I'm not sure of, I think back to the goal at Fratton Park and think that's what's turned people on him - but look beyond that, and appreciate that he's actually quite a nifty little football player when he has time and space on the ball.

Time for a ban?

We need to try and get most wrapped up next week in theory, the week after is only a 4 day week and that would be cutting tight to say the least.

Yeah that bloody dankiz1, pestering all the journos

It's a great story, it took someone a while to take a gamble on Rickie - although it was never much of a gamble really. It's a shame because he should have been higher up for more of his career, but he'll take his chance now for sure. He's just a goal machine, he will score in the CL final, world cups, euro's etc if given the chance. It's just about being brave enough to pick him, and thankfully we were brave enough to spend £1m on him. The best £1m this club has ever ever spent.

Spot on DD, cannot judge him on today really.

Ok, who else has re-wound their Sky+ recording to watch the goals, again....and again? I didn't think I'd be doing that today if I'm honest. Lamberts finish is just stunning, the mark of a natural goal scorer at any level. The 2nd goal was brilliant to, such clever movement and pass selection. That wasn't luck.

Exciting. Not long now I don't think.

Oh shut the Guly crap up, seriously. People saying he was crap today have an agenda, simple as. Or they simply don't understand football whatsoever, either one. He was fine today, pulled them all over the shop 2nd half. Watch it back.

qpr.

You probably are. Guly pulled their defense around all 2nd half, excellent technical player.

Our formation is just made for him. Straight swap for Punch, sorted.

Davis was a bit iffy when called upon, but we did protect him well. I thought on the whole Fonte and Jos did a very good job today, kept a good line and squeezed up well. Fonte was turned by Tevez for the opener, but it was marginal offside anyway - so I don't think either did too bad. I thought Lallana was excellent too, not much talk about him. But he was always available for the ball and was always positive with it, he was involved in the buildup to both goals and is such a good link between the midfield and the attack. Playing him where we did gives him so much more time on the ball and that's only to our benifit. I don't really need to say much more about Ward-Prowse. He's destined for the top of the game. End of. I think our MOTM was Clyne though, I thought he was terrific. Defensively outstanding, composed when on the ball and an excellent attacking threat. We have some palyer there by the way, very excited. That's what I love about this saints team, it's so young and it's got a chance to grow together over the years and we're linked with even more young players to add to it. I think the way we set out to play is exciting, brave and adverturous. It's a damn site better than sitting back and defending for your lives which a fair few teams would have done at City. We were brave today both on the pitch and in the dugout and that bodes well for the season to come.

Odd one that, not quite sure what quite happened. A fair bit of 3rd Party mucking around and Cortese got a bit ****ed I reckon. Never mind, move on. I think it's easy to highlight fox today, but he wasn't as bad as being made out. Remember who he was up against by the way, and also remember the fact that he had to mark a roaming Nasri, as well as marauding Zabellta all game as he had no cover - he's going to look more exposed, there's not a great deal he was going to be able to do there. The header for the third goal was unlucky, and it could have happened to anyone. Just not quite sorting his feet out and didn't get the direction he intended. I think he's a good player, and I'd rather give him a longer chance to prove himself than some seem to be.

A player like Gaston would fit in so well to how we play. I really want us to sort this, we're going to be a bloody great side to watch this year.
-
We look so composed and comfortable on the ball. Our equalising goal was an amazing bit of football and the way we pinned city in at the end was stunning. We can take a hell of a lot from thatq
