  1. Reading have offered a contract to Inzaghi - apparently £1m per year in wages. he's 39.
  2. I remember that very well, Malcolm Webster was very, very vocal over this transfer because at the time we were trying our damn hardest to get rid of Davis believe it or not. Forecast at the time was signed with a view of being competition for Bart.
  3. holy ****, didn't realise it was that bad. They've had it, to put it bluntly.
  4. Possibly, but I imagine it'll only be a few thousand as I doubt Burnley are paying too much for him. He was only a squad player at Reading.
  5. I think he originally came over as his translator, but obviously he has some coaching badges, so they've used their common sense and given in a coaching job...so he can do 2 jobs for the price of 1. Good call in the grand scheme of things.
  6. Agree. Someone who can play right wing, or ''in the hole'' bursting from midfield as a goalscoring AMC. Basically we need a significant upgrade on Chaplow. (that's not doing him a disservice as he's been terrific for us, and I'm sure he'll still be involved next year - but we need better than him to progress further)
  7. To be faire to him, at one point he was very, very highly regarded as Spurs as a future England keeper, so something has gone horribly wrong somewhere. Also on another note, Burnley have signed Joseph Mills.
  8. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7908763/Hammers-close-on-Maiga WHU spitting feathers over this one as according to them (and they're spot on) - they don't need another ST!
  9. Sky Sports understands Ipswich have agreed a deal with Watford to sign Scott Loach He was highly rated at one point and part of an england setup IIRC, wonder why he's dropped off so quickly? They even brought a loan GK to replace him last year.
  10. On the subject of Whittingham, Fulham had a 'significant' bid rejected today. Cardiff have some real backing now, so he will cost an absolute fortune.
  11. There's too many of them about. Wonder if Steve Clarke is about to fall into the same bracket?
  12. May be almost time to retire MLG. We can't have this sort of standard from a pedantic poster now we're in the PL. Standards slipping
  13. Blackburn seem to finally have significant backing from their owners.
  14. Now, if we can get Phillips and Curtis Davies as well...that's another 2 from the team of the year!
  15. I think Mackie is an excellent player, very livley, quick, knows where the goal is and works his arse off. I too think that the he'd be wasted in the NPC.
  16. Yep, RB of the year iirc.
  17. Yeah, that's probably exactly it but Nixon has it all a bit confused at the mo. I'd imagine it's cash for Hoilett and mackie included as you said (but they seem to be wanting to pay a fee for Mackie)
  18. Shame, they built a good little team there. 11-2 shows the gulf of our 1st year scholars and their squad though, quite drastic!
  19. I think the main issue people have is the contract he is on, and the fact that he is just an awful goal keeper and has managed to wangle such a long-deal. It's fair to say that's probably not all his fault but it's the way he acts that gets on peoples backs, so many people have seen him in social situations where he just acts like a ****, lording it around like he's gods gift to the game. Some people will say ''fair enough'', but i think he's taking the **** tbh. The sooner he's gone the better and we can leave all that pre-markus stuff behind us, as he's the only bit of dead wood left behind from that era.
  20. Blimey, got the team-sheets for that? AFC Totton aren't too bad a team to be fair.
  21. They've spent a hell of a lot on the Markus Liebherr lounge, so I think that's ok for now. They're not going to rename a stand after tickets, and season tickets have gone on sale. If they're going to rename the stands it would have been done in May.
  22. Blackburn are in for Jamie Mackie, a name which came up on here a while back. They're offering a fair bit of cash apparently, and Hoillet may be included. (coming from Alan Nixon on twitter)
  23. I'm pretty confident we will to be honest, and that's just a positive hunch. No in the know ******** on that.
  24. Nice read that. Quite a few are saying things along those lines as well, even non-palace fans who have watched him. I think we're getting a gem.
