He won't, don't worry about it. Adkins said yesterday ''Well we will get 1 CB, for sure, we need 1 at least and hopefully 2 by the close of the window'' On top of commenting on the excitement of being linked with Gaston. I think we'll get ourselves 4 more signings in the next 16 days, totaling around 26-30m quid. Just a feeling, I think we're ready to spend to move onto the next level and the signing of Gaston will be a huge landmark.

Shut up Holloway, clearly just trying to cling on to air. Blackpool can't turn down bids like that, no matter what he thinks. He won't want a sulky player hanging around either. According to his comments last week, he had a good conversation with Phillips who was excited and committed to be playing for Blackpool. Well that turned out to be ******** didn't it? He always plays the hard done by deal, ''feel sorry for plucky little me". Anyone is entitled to bid for your players, so get over it.

They have 1 pt don't they? Pretty sure they've started on even footing

Wonder how long it will be until qprs owners react.

Liverpool look abysmal

Most of the media seem painfully clueless. You'd think they'd research the basics

Petric will be a great signing for Fulham

Well that's wrong, Adkins confirmed that deal is dead yesterday.

He will end up at Liverpool. -
Your positing style suggests you are quite an angry little man. Every post you make seems incredibly aggressive. It's only an internet forum.

Something is brewing anyway.

Can I just ask what potential realistic signing would get you excited?

The only reason Merson had us to go down is our lack of pace out wide, which is a fair point at the moment. But when asked about Lambert he said he didn't see him scoring many goals as he doesn't have pace. Obsession with pace or what? Holt....?
-
Totally agree with you regarding Lee. I don't think we'll have a problem scoring enough goals, our problem will be keeping them out if we stay as we are - which we won't of course, as I have a hunch we're a few days away from a mega CB signing.
-
Relegated as it stands, but once we finish our business and bring in our wingers and CB's then we can have a solid mid-table season. But it would take a miracle for us to survive if we stayed as we are.

Nothing has really changed. The agent and player jumped the gun yesterday, that all. So basically we're still trying to thrash out a deal with the club, but the player himself has been presented with excellent terms by us and himself and his agent are very happy - but he shouldn't have come out shouting about it yesterday.

I reckon Reading will beat Stoke.

Their chairman made our interest known in a radio interview.

West Ham, where their chairman likes to tweet and the son likes to post transfer news as well. Dave Whelan Nottingham forests new owners use twitter to also confirm their interest in players.

Well exactly, I know it's almost impossible to do it now. I just remember people moaning and moaning about our need to keep things quiet a while ago, well this is exactly why we try....

It's not the agent, it's a third party ownership with his former club. Happens a lot in Italy, especially between Italian clubs. One club will own 40% and the other 60% etc, so if a club wants to buy a player they need to agree a fee with both clubs. Italy has always played it like that as far as I know, seems a real shaddy league

This is exactly why Cortese wants all transfer news kept silent and out of the media. Now you've got the problem of having fans raised expectations and if the deal doesn't happened then the whole mood around the fan base will change. I know it's hard and almost impossible to keep a transfer like this quiet, but those moaning about him trying to keep everything quiet need to realise he has a very valid point and reason behind it. Gaston was a right idiot coming out saying what he did yesterday morning. Should never have commented on it, now he's potentially ruined the move by winding up Bolonga. Bolonga have since changed their stance on what they want for the player, that's where the confusion has arose. It was agreed. Until he blabbed and wound them up.
