  1. They don't need to agree a fee. They could do it to make it easier for themselves in the long-run, but they don't need to agree a fee as he's free to talk to anyone. They are also pushing very hard on the Chris Gunter deal, that's moving quickly. FWIW I heard they wanted to try and Hijack the Clyne deal, but the fact that they're now pushing forward on Gunter suggests that they were too late. So in a round-about way, that's potentially a positive in our court.
  2. He's going to cost a hell of alot more than that to be honest, he has a release clause of around 6 million euro's. So don't see why Rayo would accept anything less.
  3. It does seem like they've moved away from this guy for whatever reason. He's your typical french/african powerhouse though and would do great in the PL imo. I assume we'd use him as a CB first and foremost if we did get him. Also another note on Reading, they're pushing ahead on the Gunter deal - I heard over the w/e they were also trying to hijack the Clyne deal, so the fact that they're now pushing the Gunter deal through suggest to me that they were too late on the Clyne front.
  4. I think alot of that was down to the lack of a crowd, in 75% empty stadiums the sound will just echo around the empty spaces and it's impossible to pickup, but with a full stadium it's often much clearer. Acoustics in an empty stadium is a nightmare for anyone.

    Is this a serious thread?
  6. Yep, a hell of alot! These will cost an absolute fortune by the way......so nice to know we've got the cash!
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoffrey_Kondogbia is the midfielder/CB we want, but Reading have stolen a march.
  8. Fantastic videos, shows how massive Jos was for us.
  9. Nice, they were in a bad way to be fair - big blocks missing etc. I assume the new ones are bigger as well?
  10. *cough* - go on..
  11. Yeah, that's Tadanari's translator mate, by all accounts he's now a mingled in member of the squad! he goes everywhere. All the injured players all went on the trip as well, maybe not to play or train hard, but it's important to mingle with all the other lads rather than being left behind.
  12. They don't need to accept bids, or reject bids. He's open to talk to whoever he wants to, if the club wants to be civil and discuss compo straight away then that's down to them, but the player is out of contract and no bids legally need to be made as it could go to a tribunal.
  13. But Donny's chairman said ''We'd have loved to have kept Gilly, but once he became aware of what another club could offer him, we couldn't match that.'' It's horrendous that they're still able to offer more money than Doncaster, it drives me mad. It's not fair in anyway shape or form, how can a club in admin outbid a relatively well-run club? It's just sheer arrogance.
  14. After those comments from Saunders, I fully expect it to be Pompey who have offered the wages. They haven't got a clue and as long as they keep chugging along as they are then they will continue to take the ****, which quite frankly is what they're doing. When you look at what happened to Rangers, a club millions times bigger than they'd ever be, it makes you sick to see Portsmouth still going when their crimes are so much greater. Justice will only be served when they are liquidated and a new club is formed in a random Southern league.
  15. Looks to be on. Odds now evens, and lots of rumours picking up pace from journos and media outlets that he's having a medical @ melwood tomorrow, after they agreed a £15m fee. Do we get any sort of cut from this out of interest?
  16. Odd one....I'll still go there, need my fix of football after going without it for months!
  17. It's Sunday, I'm not surprised! We're not going to get minute by minute updates, but all we know is that we've approach his agent/palace and have been given permission to talk. Things may ramp up next week on a couple of fronts. I really hope we sort it as it'll wind a hell of alot of WHU fans up! They're spitting feathers on twitter at the thought of missing out on this one, as they need a RB.
  18. That comment at the end kind of confirms that you've not got a secure opinion/point, otherwise you wouldn't have to resort to comments like that. At the end of the day he is a goal scorer and goal scorers will score wherever they get the service. If players like Clive Plat cane come up from L1 and score goals in the Championship, then I'm damn sure that Barnard could. I think Palace would be a good fit for him if I'm honest, could try including him in any sort of deal! Appreciate the goals he scored for us, and that massive, massive winner against MK Don's will live long in my memory.
  19. He's an excellent league 1 striker who would score goals in the championship.
  20. I still find comments like this truly bizarre. When did he ever get the chance to prove he could do it in the Championship? He didn't, therefore it's harsh to say he's no better than L1. I would expect him to score goals in the Championship, I'm just confused as to why people say he's not good enough even though he's never had a chance of playing at that level.
  21. I don't think he ever played in the PL
  22. I think we'll have 2 new GK's by the start of the season, and Forecast will be nowhere to be seen ever again.
  23. Interestingly, they only signed Van Aanholt last week.
