Well sorreeey! I get quite confused with all these abbreviations, OS, OT, HCDAJFU, PMSL etc. Etc. Just interested in my alma mater. Respice Finem! (sp)

Are we talking Old Tauntonians by any chance?

This is bigger than my erection!

Antonio motm. Too many high balls. Saints fans superb!!! Should've been more than 1-0 but who cares? We've got the moo-cows beat....again! Should have been a penalty and MS was treated very harshly. Referee was a complete T.W.A.T.

Welcome Dan. You're one of us now! You'll do well despite what some on this site feel. Obviously our scouts and manager know what they're doing and know who we need. Best of luck lad. Enjoy the ride!

Lots of businesses dispose of perfectly good IT equipment that could be utilised for people on low incomes. For example, today I have personally thrown 24 flat screen monitors in the skip on behalf of my employers (local government) which I feel is a tragedy. Why not re-cycle this equipment? It all works perfectly well.

Open the above link at your peril.....both times I tried to open it my Itouch has gone into reset mode.

The best explanation I heard (and one I tend to believe) is that in the days of sailing ships Southampton dockers clambered aboard ships using the rigging. French sailors or matelots referred to them as 'mouches' which is French for flies. Hence the word mush.

Dear oh dear! So that's an educated, considered opinion is it?
-
Thank you for expressing your opinion. However, I didn't for one moment suggest that 'manning the barricades' was the answer and nor do I advocate violence. What I did suggest was that we use the resources available to us, ie intelligence and suppression to ensure that this group are not allowed to march or demonstrate in a place that has come to symbolise our Country's collective grief at the deaths of our soldiers. Would you allow them to desecrate war graves?

No. I'm Johnny Bulldog, decendant of more illustrious and dogmatic Brits. Circa 1954.

I think that what you're suggesting is that we should roll over and give them some sort of credence for their beliefs. Wrong! We should fight them tooth and nail and use whatever means we have at our disposal. Remember it's a war.

I think that a very salient point has been missed in this whole debate. Like it or not, we are at war, both in Afghanistan and in our own country. These "British" people (regardless of race or religion) are fifth columnists, enemies of the State and are openly declaring their hostility and opposition to our (their) country and as such should be regarded as the enemy within our midst. Forget human rights, freedom of speech etc. and treat them exactly as they are....enemies!

So much has been written about Ron Davies by his mate, Tijuana Tim, that I feel that we should invite them both over for sometime this season as guests of TSW. Perhaps the mods could help by setting up a Paypal account that we could subscribe to. I'd guess that Ron would baulk at the idea of receiving 'hand outs' so I'd suggest that he could be invited to come over to sell his art and to give an exclusive interview and Q&A for TSW. My money's ready to go!

What a result!!!! Fantastic Saints. Never say die. I'm getting ****ed. Work can wait. What a confidence booster for Leeds.

I was there that day, along with a coach-load of Saints fans and believe me they chased us around before, during and after the game. I came out of that game covered in bruises and phlegm. I've hated them ever since! Without doubt, the most humiliating match I've been to so ANY win over them will be good.

Probably one of the major considerations has been highlighted. We need corporate business to be involved with SFC and by stating our intentions at this stage we could perhaps secure the sort of sponsorship and business that will help finance our push upwards. Good marketing in my opinion! Secure the business contacts first. As stated before, these boys are the "dog's pedantics" and there will be no half-hearted measures as far as they are concerned. Happy Days!!!

Just back from the game. Blustery, difficult game. Saints support - massive. Respect to all those there.

Clearly, I asked a series of questions concerning possibilities and in no way did I endorse or condemn the feasibility of these actions becoming reality. It's interesting to note, however, that some studies have already been undertaken. Nobody could have envisaged the influence that technology has had on our lives - CCTV cameras being a classic example of remote justice - and it remains concievable that refinements to our justice system could, in time, involve the use of this medium. BTW I neither subscribe to the Sun or the Mail and am genuinely interested to know from people better informed technologically whether it is possible to adopt such a system and whether it could be hi-jacked for nefarious reasons.

Watching "Spooks" the other night presented a scenario in which terrorists had kidnapped an influential cartel of industrialists. They were subjected to an Internet trial for alleged crimes against humanity. Could this system ever be adopted in a real life situation? Could this be a genuine solution to crimes or situations where there is widespread public interest? Could we, the people, be allowed to become judge and jury? There are clearly some technical issues and moral issues to be addressed but is this the way forward?
